Outstanding dealership! Let me begin by saying I really dislike (and dread) the traditional car buying experience. For years I've wondered why we can't have buying a vehicle more like how we shop online for nearly everything else in life nowadays. Specifically, I do research, read user reviews, do comparison shopping, add the item to my cart, check out, then have it delivered. I'm not sure it'll ever be that simple for a vehicle purchase, but Sierra Toyota is making it pretty darn close by participating in Toyota's SmartPath online buying process. I just purchased a new vehicle from Sierra Toyota using SmartPath and am thrilled with how it went. The true vehicle selling price was clearly stated on Sierra Toyota's website with no markups, no hidden fees, and no unwanted dealer-installed options to fight over. I was able to enter information on a vehicle that I wanted to trade in, then I received an instant quote with a total out-the-door price for the new vehicle. With SmartPath, you can have the vehicle delivered to your door, but I opted to pick it up at the dealership since I had a trade in. After submitting my order online, I received a telephone call for an appointment. The best part of the whole buying experience was absolutely no price haggling, no game playing, and no pressure to buy anything that I didn't want. It only took about an hour to get in and out the door in my new vehicle. I dealt with a super nice Sales Associate named Caleb. Everyone I met at Sierra Toyota was friendly, responsive, and efficient. Communication was excellent using both texts and telephone. Oil change under toyota warranty, great service even though i purchased somewhere else.

Shout out to Jared and his service team. I was having issues with my vehicles break lights not working. Turns out it was a bigger problem than I had anticipated, but Jared got the part ordered and fixed as quickly as possible. When I dropped my vehicle off I completely forgot some cash I had in there. I've had mechanics take $5 from my vehicle before, but upon getting my vehicle back a month later, that money was still sitting in the same spot even though they had to take everything apart. From beginning to end my salesman Eric Morales helped me with every step. From explaining each feature to making sure I made the correct selections during the order process. He kept me updated on the status of building the vehicle to when I could expect my order to be ready, to include what I needed to do in advance concerning the final purchase. Mr. Morales has proved to be one of the best car salesman I have ever encountered. This review is long overdue but I wanted to give a 5 star review to Ruth Whitehouse and the support staff at Sierra Toyota. I'm from California and was looking for a hard to find 2025 Sienna XSE in cement color. Ruth had one advertised for a great deal on the no mark up Toyota facebook group page. Communicating with her was quick and easy. The car buying process with her was the best I've ever experienced. I decided to fly in to pick up the car and Ruth picked me up from the airport to take me to her dealership. Once there, I was able to drive away with my new car in about 1 hour. I also need to give a shout out to Elizabeth, the title and warranty clerk. I had some issues registering my car in California and Elizabeth went above and beyond what she needed to do by helping me get some duplicate paper work from the Arizona dept of transportation. Worst dealership I've ever dealt with. It seems their only goal is to get people to submit a credit application. Once I submitted one, they informed me I was approved, but then they forgot about me. I sent several emails, calls, texts, for days and days. They respond and claim I had an appointment to come in to "discuss things". Um...what? I've not been aware that you were going to ignore my questions, blow me off, and then blame me somehow. lol. I'm the one buying a truck, somehow it is my fault. The GM then tells me, "Well, you don't have to buy a truck from us..." I'm truly not going to beg. I asked for my $500 deposit back, they were extremely happy to refund it. Makes me wonder why they would be happier and more motivated to refund my money than to simply move forward with a deal that has been made for over a week. Something is totally fishy. I'm not sure if they sold the truck to someone else and was hoping to buy more time by just jerking me around, or what. It's truly bizarre. Stay far away from this place. Lynne literally called me an @$$hole on the phone and kind of seemed to want to provoke some sort of reaction from me. This place is sleazy and disgusting. Go anywhere else! read more

My 3-year old truck had a seized fuel pump. Luckily, it happened after we PCS'd from Drum to here. Had it towed to Toyota and they got it back to me in 24 hours. We took in our Prius for oil change a few days later and found out it basically had no brakes and everything was warped with rust after 3 years in Northern NY. They did rotors, brake pads, full service and safety check in 5 hours. Pricing was what you'd expect for a dealership. Our cars are still under 5-years old so we only do dealer service to make sure we get OEM products and any warranties are honored. Fuel pump was under warranty! Service area was clean and well cared for, Mark was a mensch and Jerrod was funny. I took the truck in alone and Mark did not patronise me or talk down, which, sadly, still happens when you present femme. read more

Contacted Sierra Toyota after seeing their advertisement on Autotrader for a vehicle that had just been traded in. Submitted a request late in the evening and received an automated email from Ross. The following day Ross sent me a second email stating that Ryn would be taking on the sale. Ryn emailed me a few hours later with more information on the car. I called him later that day and he answered all my questions and concerns, especially since I was an out of state buyer. He told me the car would be inspected and I requested that he call be back once the results came in. A few days later Ryn called back and confirmed my observations about bumper damage on the vehicle. He didn't recommend that I purchase it, due to this and several other factors. Throughout our email and phone exchanges, Sierra Toyota demonstrated the utmost integrity and concern for my buying experience. The only other seller I have had such great experience with was with Herman Cook Volkswagen in Encinitas CA. Both of these companies offer no haggle pricing. It is clear they try to find the best used cars and where vehicles do not meet inspection, they sell via auction. By offering high quality cars and high integrity, they will develop repeat customers along with the occasional out of state buyer like myself. If anything similar pops up I hope they will give me a call. read more

I took my Camry 2012 with 40k miles in for service of a bad tire sensor. The warning was intermittent. The service people said it had to get replaced. After maintenance I find the part that is online for $70 (new, even thought used would work and be cheaper). The Sierra Toyota charged $120. A phone call responded and after hearing same thing said they would look into offering pricing options. They apparently decided instead to censor review. read more

I have been here since 1996. All the locals said Sierra Toyota was the best place to get maintenance for your car. At that time, they were a very small business. It was known as Miss Elsie's place. I bought a used car twice from Sierra Toyota. When the Hybrid Camry came out, I bought a brand new one from Sierra Toyota. In all dealings with Sierra Toyota, I was treated with courtesy and respect, never pushed to do more than was needed. I trusted them incredibly. Two trucks, four cars later, I have my Avalon and Tundra. Miss Elsie sold Sierra Toyota and retired. I hoped there would be no changes. However, the place began to feel different. Pushy Service. Pushy Sales. Finally, today was the coup de grâce. I no longer trust Sierra Toyota. Yesterday, the Tundra turned over slow. I have been through two battery changes in the past, and recognized the signs. She had 11V DC. I washed down the battery, cleaned the area and clamps. Now, I have rebuilt one F350 from scratch, and working another. I know vehicles. I took good care of my Tundra. Today, this morning, the Tundra was down to 9 volts. I made an appointment at Sierra Toyota as the battery was warrantied (pro-rated) for 84 months. I would get 25% off the cost of a new Toyota battery. I asked them to replace the battery under warranty and check the Tire Pressure System as it had been reporting a low tire but I checked them all and they were always okay. My service person called me and said they replaced the battery, but that they also had to replace a battery clamp. I told her I did not authorize that and that the clamps were perfectly good. She deleted that charge. Then she told me that the techs had found a nail on the inside sidewall of the passenger rear tire. I told her it was warrantied by Discount tire. I took the Tundra to Discount. They dunk-tested the tires. No hole, no nail. Sierra Toyota is now one of those places, like so many other in Sierra Vista, that is padding the maintenance needs and sucking money out of customers. I no longer trust Sierra Toyota. I miss Miss Elsie. read more

It saddens me that things have gone downhill as far as our experience with this Toyota dealership. We have been loyal customers since we first moved here. We have always brought our vehicles here (even non-Toyota ones). We have bought 2 cars here and recommebded this place countless times to friends. It seems like the straw that broke the camel's back was buying our second car here. Big regrets. So much miscommunication to the point where its just excuses and empty desires to "make things right". Only after we were leaving did someone ask if we needed any help. We informed the salesman that we were leaving after being outside for 20 minutes. The man said nothing and just walked inside. I didn't buy my Toyota from is dealership and apparently they take a dim view of that during the free, 24 month maintenance program. I took my Toyota in for a scheduled service, when the service was completed the service manager handed me the paperwork and told me, "the technician noted that your air filter is dirty". This was also noted on the paperwork, I thought, "no big deal, I'll get a new filter in a couple of days, it can't very bad, the vehicel is still very new". Well, when I bought a new filter and proceeded to replace the existing filter a few days later I discovered that rodents had gotten into the air filter box and the cabin air filter box, both boxes were essentially jammed full of mesquite seeds. During this same service the person who took my keys refused to change the engine oil since it had only 7500 miles on it, he said Sierra Toyota goes by a 10,000 miles interval. I told him the car had been under severe usage according to the owners manual, (operated on dirt roads). He ignored me and when I asked how much they'd charge me for and oil change he quoted approximately $65.00. I ended up changing the oil myself, I'm retired and want to take proper care of this vehicle. Probably would've been treated better if I'd bought my vehicle there but I'm retired military and am not exactly rolling in money and the prices at this dealership are significantly higher than prices up in the Phoenix area. read more

My wife had a blow out and took our SUV in for a tire replacement. of Course they did not have a common tire available and had to order it. Once the tire came in they still did not put it on right away and we heard nothing from them. I called after another day of waiting and was given the service dept and spoke with Melanie, after she put me on hold and the phone rang back to her about three times she hung up on me and did not have the courtesy to call back. When I called back to speak with Ross or owner neither of them were there and they won't even give you the owners direct number. The good thing is we were going to purchase their 2024 highlanders that was on the lot, needless to say that won't happen and from now on we will go to Tucson . If you are buying a car the service is great. If you take your vehicle in for service the customer service is terrible. This is my second experience taking my vehicle in for service and it hasn't improved. The first time was 2 years ago when I first moved here. I made an appt to change the oil in my Rav. 3+ hours later it was done. I took my new Rav in for a 5,000 mile service and explained my issue with the gas shutting off early when filling the tank. It would shut off 2-3 gallons short of being full. I was told it was a common issue with the new Ravs and that there was a "fix". I was told he would order the parts and he made me an appt. When I dropped off my car I told him it was for the 5,000 mile service and the gas tank repair. He told me (same guy who waited on me the week prior and also ordered the parts) that they would only be doing the 5,000 mile service and that the mechanic would need to check out the gas tank. He said it would be 1-1/2 hrs so we hung around town until it was done. I got a call saying the gas tank was not registering correctly and they had the parts to fix it. I told him I wanted it fixed. When I picked up the car I filled it up and it stopped at 7.6 gals. I ended up putting 10.4 gals in my car. Apparently their "fix" didn't work. I called Toyota when I got home and left a message to let them know what happened at the gas station and I left my number. The next day I left a second message and still nobody has returned my call. I will not be having Toyota do any more services once my 2 year service warranty is over. read more

I am in need of a new truck. I went on my pricing options at work. My info was sent to Sierra Toyota. Over texting, they asked for the specifics of the type of truck I wanted. I told them. Thirty minutes later, the sales person claimed to have found the truck, but had to "go and clear with the manager": which would be the next morning. I never heard back from them. I live in Tucson, I found another Toyota dealer. The salesperson was arrogant, and acting like he "was doing me a favor" in taking my money and doing all this work to find me a truck--and never got back to me. Do not waste your time. Go some place else. Trucks are very expensive with a high markup, and Sierra Toyota obviously does not want your business. read more

More high praise for the service department, and I don't even drive a Toyota; I have a Hyundai. However, my husband's Toyota has always received top notch service from Sierra, thus it was the first place that came to mind as trustworthy. I'd told them another shop in town had quoted me a rack and pinion replacement and they agreed to see me and my outsider vehicle. No rack and pinion replacement necessary. Instead they tightened a loose power steering hose and didn't charge me a dime. Thank you, thank you, thank you, Sierra Toyota! I think I know where I'll be purchasing my next ride. read more

They will lie through their teeth only to cover their own butt when things go south. They will strategically corroborate a plethora of lies together in order to make it seem like you're the bad guy or in the wrong, only to try and protect the name of their service department. Don't let their responses to the reviews fool you. It's done with the intent to patronize. In addition, they'll put your personal information on blast in the review responses, along with the type of vehicle you drive and the location you purchased it from so everyone knows you didn't buy the vehicle from them. (Only to protect the name of the service department) Why would any of those details matter if a Toyota owner who needs warranty repairs done from a Toyota Service Center for a vehicle that's still under factory warranty? It doesn't make any sense. Behind it all, it's clear that they're exhibiting passive aggression. Lastly, everyone has the right review a business, if they so choose, based off their experience, quality of service, professionalism, ability to empathize, and the customer service received. Well, their best game yet is retaliation and reprisal if they don't like your review. With all that said, I HIGHLY DON'T recommend this service department to anyone. I recently took my 4Runner in to Sierra Toyota because it failed to start one morning. At first, I was told that my battery needed replacing, but I objected to this and asked them to check again (because I just replaced the battery and alternator - at this same dealer - about 5 months ago). When I got a call back, I was told that I was right, the battery was fine, a "trainee tech" had made a mistake. Eventually I was told that my starter needed replacing. When I heard the estimate, I decided I needed to come in and talk before agreeing. After the "trainee tech" thing, I was a little dubious. Service advisor Gabe, however, restored my confidence in the shop by talking through some things, showing me the price breakdown on the computer, and taking me back and literally showing me my vehicle and what it was doing when I asked. Some questions and Gabe's help also helped get the estimate down closer to something that seemed reasonable (I do some research anytime I deal with a shop, and the initial quote was waaaaaaayy out of line with the norm). I really appreciated dealing with Gabe, though I'm still a little miffed at the cost Toyota charges for a (remanufactured!!) starter - it's twice what I would spend for a comparable reman part (with a lifetime warranty) from O'Reilly or Advance Auto Parts. Overall - 5 star interaction, 5 star friendliness, 5 star speediness of service, 2 or 2.5 stars on price. read more

I was in the market for a Toyota Highlander and used true car pricing to find the best deal when Sierra Toyota came up for a result. I ended up selecting a new build with all the options that I wanted and after speaking with R'yn promised I would have the car before Christmas because this was my wife's present. Turns out that not only did it not arrive before Christmas, but was 3 weeks late. Suddenly the VIN changed as well which from asking a friend at another dealer told me the original VIN sold the day it arrived. They ended up selling my vehicle that caused my wife not to have anything for Christmas.... Eventually the Highlander arrived and we were excited to see our new vehicle only to have our trade in that Sierra Toyota said they would match from another dealership drop $1700.... At this point it was out of our price limit to buy the vehicle. I would never recommend anyone to do business with Sierra Toyota. R'yn lied and couldn't keep a single promise he made to me. I waited 3 months for the vehicle to arrive. 22 January 2016 After I posted this I continued to receive a email from R'yn's friend exclaiming that I have poor character and I should be ashamed. Adam Cruff, in the Service Department, was great. The service department is well organized, neat, and fast. They take a personal interest in the work and are very helpful. I was out on a back road in our 4runner and when I got back to pavement we had a mysterious engine-speed related vibration in the steering wheel and a sound like we suddenly had glass pack mufflers. I brought it in and left it. They called back quickly and reported a small rock was lodged between the oil pan and frame cross-member. Adam took photos on his cell phone and shared them with me. I expressed interest in a used Jeep. A significant interest. Even had the saleswoman, Julie, take videos and more pictures due to my distance. Negotiated the price and even filled out an application to get financed. I was told that I would be notified the next day since it was closing time soon. I worked the next day and back to back meetings in the morning and couldn't get out and in contact with the saleswoman until about 1pm. It was too late and they had sold the car to someone else!!! What?! I couldn't believe that they ran my credit and then turned around and sold it to someone else! They clearly only care about money and getting the sale.
