I gave my son the option and he chose to leave. Decisions that are made at the top affect a lot of people and unfortunately, the principal's choices and lack of transparency and honesty affected my son enough to make him want to leave. We try to teach kids to treat others with respect and honesty but if your principal's not willing to do it, then the flag couldn't get any more red. On to better things.

They have great structure and routine for the students, I believe it helps them thrive especially in a school that is advanced with challenging material, but I know it will truly set them up to be successful adults. I have loved all their teachers! Whenever I have concerns I've always felt heard. I'm also thankful for the driveline, I know it can get crazy at times, but is so safe compared to other schools! They constantly have fun events and things for the kids to do. They are great at communication too, I rather get a bunch of emails everyday because I also get busy so I can be up to date on what's happening/book reports/poems/drills/dress down days/parent square/anything and everything! My son has had the WORST experience here at Calibre academy. If you are concerned about your child…read morebeing in a safe environment this is NOT the school to attend. My child was released to someone who could have possibly been a complete stranger. NO ONE CHECKED ID, the individual who I had pick my child up from that school went to the office and the front office receptionist sent this individual directly to where my child was. The receptionist did NOT check ID & when it was time to grab him from the teacher they too just sent him off without even speaking or asking for Identification. Another incident had transpired where another student was touching my child inappropriately & when it came to time speak with the teacher she WAS AWARE of the incident but FAILED to INFORM ME ! I am not only concerned about my child but I am also concerned about the other student as well as that parent should be aware and informed of the information ! The teacher made it a point to MESSAGED ME AND INFORM ME OF OTHER THINGS but not mention what was MOST IMPORTANT. NOT ONLY did these terrible incidents happen but my son had been here in this school for 6 months & his main teacher still DID NOT know his name but would address him as someone else . FINALLY each time I would address my issues of concern the teacher and both principal and assistant principal were VERY CALLOUS . NO apology NO concern NO EMPATHY ... NOTHING !! Not to MENTION ALL INCIDENTS THIS SCHOOL IS VERY PREJUDICE!!!!!!

Freedom Traditional Academy.... I used to have nothing but…read morepositive things to say about this school, but sadly that is no longer the case. My kindergartener has never been in trouble, yet the other day she accidentally ripped a page from a library book. We do not condone this behavior, and I was informed that a lunch suspension would likely be assigned, which seemed reasonable given that she damaged school property. However, I was subsequently told that my 5-year-old, who has never had any behavioral issues or been sent to the principal's office, would be receiving a three-day lunch suspension for this incident. Do I think this punishment is excessive? Absolutely! She's just 5 years old, and it seems insane that for a first-time offense of ripping a page, she would receive such harsh punishment. Unfortunately, I can no longer recommend sending your children to this school. While I believe kids should be held accountable for their mistakes, issuing a three-day suspension for a first offense is simply unacceptable. Thankfully, the school year is almost over, and both of my children will be transferring to a different school.
