Then on the 4th night of our stay we got in late and encountered cockroach in the toilet. When we looked around the bathroom we saw several more. They were small but there we several visible. We didn't sleep well at all but had to stay in the room. When we got u a couple hours later we saw a large cockroach just above the toilet paper holder on the side of the sink vanity. We called Vacasa right then and explained the situation and sent the representative pictures to substantiate our issues. He was helpful and told us the local property manager would be contacting us. We packed our belongings as quickly as possible and reserved a hotel room in Sarasota. Our last full day of vacation was a bust. The local agent could not be reached for several hours. When she did call around 11:30 am she told us she saw no evidence of cockroaches she told us that the picture of the large cockroach in the bathroom didn't look like anywhere in the unit. We told her the location of the other cockroaches and she continued to tell us she could find none at all. She told us the room is rented continuously and they never experienced cockroaches prior to this. She continued to state that she could find none. We felt as if she implied we were lying. She didn't use the word lie or liar but it felt implied. We felt very insulted. We have been visiting Siesta Key the same week for several years and we always stayed at the same place. This time we tried a new place and now we regret that we didn't stay where we had in the past. we had an a legitimate issue and it was handled poorly by the local Vacasa property agent. She is crediting us for the last day but she still insulted us by the implication that we were lying. We won't use Vacasa again. We feel bad for the next guests to experience the cockroaches because it is only a matter of time before someone else sees the cockroaches as well. We stayed in cottage 4.

Most recently we stayed in August for our family vacation and rented all 4 units. What a wonderful time! Located a stones throw away from the semi private beach & within walking distance to anything and everything you need in the village. You absolutely cannot beat the location! Especially with children. Its so easy taking them to and from the beach especially when a bathroom break is needed or something forgotten. The units are all decorated with a beachy vibe, well maintained and clean. The pool, grilling area, outdoor shower and laundry is great,and management is very attentive and accomodating.

I haven't stayed at this location in the past a few times and was happy. It must be under new management. I rented a 2 bedroom unit. I have 2 service dogs. They are not at all helpful. Saying only one per unit. The second bedroom doesn't matter. So basically my elderly mother has to be in her own unit. I've brought 3 dogs in the past each time in a one bedroom unit. No issues. If I had not booked nonrefundable I would have canceled. I will never stay here again.

The view across the street is a wildlife preserve so you can't see the sand but you also aren't looking at anyone else's hotel which was great. The place had everything we needed, toaster oven & stove burner & beach chairs. The best part of this place is their customer service ! The owners were so kind to us. Anything we needed they responded with a yes ! & when I got home and they found my prescription glasses they emailed me and sent them in the mail without me even asking ! It's perfect for a quick get away. They could use an upgraded bed but it wasn't terrible. We will be back.

They offered us movies to rent out because we had two small children. I did make the mistake this time and accidentally booked the studio which was entirely my fault. It comes with a parallel parking spot which is super tight and that is almost impossible to park in so unless your 007 I'd recommend trying to park on the street which can be extremely crowded, or book another cottage. They have beach umbrellas, bicycles, boogie boards etc. you can take with you to the beach which is just a few steps away. You walk over a ramp and it's there. The pool is heated and nice after a day at the beach. You also get a complimentary ticket for either two free cocktails or one appetizer at the sand bar which is not a far walk on the beach. The food could be better, but the rum buckets are where it's at. They're kinda weak so I always ask for an extra shot of rum. Now the beach. So crystal clear, so warm, just perfect. Reminded me of being in the Caribbean. There are tons of shops and restaurants within walking distance or you can rent a golf cart. We will be making our annual trips here to relax, unwind and take in the beauty that is Anna Maria.

Found half eaten tub of ice cream in drawer with a dirty spoon (hence the roaches), dishwasher does not clean and had to hand wash, stove top is broken and they charged us an additional $50 cleaning fee when we left. They state that there was sand on the counters, we moved a couch (nothing states that we could slide furniture), dishes were dirty (DW was broken and we habd cleaned it all) and we broke a lamp (which we provided pictures that it was already broken). They refuse to credit our $50. BEWARE, TAKE PICTURES OF EVERYTHING BEFORE YOU CHECK IN AND SEND TO THEM!!

Just a short walk from your rental will take you out to Crescent Beach, just south of Siesta Key Beach. "The laundry room is situated in the middle of the complex. Beach lounges, chairs, picnic tables and grills are provided for the guests and parking for registered guests is conveniently located at the front or back door of each unit. Very nice communications with the staff prior to our stay and during our stay. I spoke with Cindy on the phone and was told about everything I needed to know up front. Donna and Cindy who are in-charge at the lobby were helpful, nice and informative. Their maintenance staff members are also very helpful. As guests at this condominium, you must follow the rules. They really keep the place super clean. Cleanliness, quiet, courteous to other guests, are part of the deal. We enjoyed this place so much that I didn't want to leave. We stayed here for 10 nights and we got one night free (not sure whether this is an on-going promotion); we had the best deal. Hubby barbecued once and we had the best meal. Supermarket Publix is just across the street so we didn't go hungry here. The building has 2 sides, facing the ocean and facing the street. Although we picked the one facing the street, the unit was so amazing: beautiful kitchen, living room, dining room, bathroom and a bedroom (one-bedroom unit). We had enough towels. The unit provides a beach umbrella. This place has more than what we ask for, so it's a bonus to see that everything is well-prepared for us. We were on the beach and the pool everyday. The pool's depth is between 4 and 9 ft. Best beach time is evening when the tide is low and 100% visibility. Morning around 10ish is nice to swim in the ocean too (clear water) but early AM the water is slightly rough (summer time). I didn't feel that hot when I was in the ocean before noon. We enjoyed talking to guests who are regulars and some guests told us that they are from Florida but come here for vacation many times, cool! It is a quiet building with not a lot of people crowding one place. It's private and the beach is clean, unpolluted with beautiful water. I was hoping to swim with dolphins like I did last year when we stayed in Lido Beach but they might have come in while I was upstairs. That's ok, next time. We'd like to come back to this same condominium and enjoy a beautiful sunset every evening. And yes I got beautiful seashells from this area yay! Hope to do this again next year because Longboat Key has been our regular destination that we have to do every year. Magnificent location and vacation rental. Thank you all! Highly recommended.
