This has been my fiancee and I's 3rd year going and it never fails! The staff at Lido are all so friendly and helpful. Everyone always has a smile or their face and welcomes you. This year we ate at the tiki bar twice for lunch and had Justin as our server both times. He was GREAT! He made sure we had what we needed and more. He actually connected with his tables and got to know them. He gave us some good laughs and had actual conversations with us, not making us feel like just another table. BEWARE.. This is the 2nd time we have visited this resort and the 2nd time this has happened. We visit this resort specifically because it has an adult only section/pool. First visit approximately 2 years ago, 2 very young children under 10 in the hot tub. Numerous employees walked by them said nothing. Their parents/adults were in the family section. Finally after a couple of hours we left because the children were still there with no supervision. 2nd visit July 2026 we came down to the adult only pool and guess what another child in the hot tub about 10 years old. This is where we feel the hotel and staff may have put in a no win bad situation due to staff breaking the rules. We came to the pool a gentleman who we now know to be the child's parent began to raise his voice, yell at us to leave his kid alone stop whom we weren't even addressing (we were speaking with each other). As the gentleman appeared to start moving towards us Ian employee quickly came over to say he gave permission for the child to be there for and I quote "a couple of hours" then the employee left faster then I could get his name. .. For the amount of money spent nightly here I find this unacceptable. There is a family section and adult only section and if the rules aren't going to be followed please remove the adults only and just make it family friendly. We were forced out of the pool because employees and the parents broke the rules. read more

Lots of great aspects of this resort. The staff is great (very friendly and helpful)! The common areas are beautiful and provide a casual beach elegance. The two restaurants are very nice, each in their own way. The two pools are very nice and one is an adult only pool (which is a great feature). The one significant downside is the fact that the all of the facilities are available to the public. People who are not guests can simply walk off the beach and use the pools (the towels are available without a room pass) and dine at either of the restaurants. My husband reserved a King Gulf view room and I couldn't have been happier with his choice, since this was a surprise anniversary trip for me. The room was spacious, and the views were wonderful. Check in was easy and the staff was pleasant and helpful. The common areas are all very nice. There are seating areas all over the place and it's lit up beautifully at night. The pools are both nice, although getting into the adult pool at the deep end is rather awkward for older people. Beach access is easy and there are chairs set up for free and only a $15 charge for umbrellas. My biggest disappointment is the food. I did a Yelp review on the restaurant so I won't go into that again. The other choice for dining is the tiki bar. We had lunch and dinner there our last day because we didn't feel like going to St Armand's Circle. Food is just ok, nothing special. I guess I thought if we were paying over $600 a night the food options would be better. To top things off, there was a private party going on with extremely loud music that blared until 9:30. We couldn't thoroughly enjoy our balcony and listening to the waves because of the music. Highly disappointing. read more

Great resort on the beach. Location is near St. Armands Circle with lots of shops and restaurants - and the resort provides a free shuttle. The resort checked in with us via text daily to see if there was anything we needed which showed us how much they cared about how we felt during our stay. Great pool and tiki bar and easy access to the beach. The only con for us was staying in the tiki tower which was older. Water on the walkways near the rooms made it slick when walking in flip flops. It was loud at night and dated. The room had a weird smell and the beds weren't the most comfortable. We had a view of the parking lot. For what we paid per night, I expected it to be a little nicer. However, had we stayed in the other tower I think I would've rated it a 5. The staff was very welcoming, friendly, and helpful. read more

This was our 4th time at an Opal resort. Some good and some not great. This one was good overall. We had an oceanfront suite. The view was spectacular. Bed was comfortable. Stayed at Lido Beach Resort for 4 nights, two different rooms which were in two different buildings , first room was less spacious, but still a beautiful room, stayed in that room for 1 night, the other room was amazing, huge room, big balcony, kitchenette, the shower even had two shower heads (3 if you include handheld), rooms were always clean, with chocolates and mouthwash left after being cleaned every evening, restaurant on 8th floor had a beautiful view of sunset and good breakfast and dinner, there is a mini cafe in lobby of other building with a delicious pb+j smoothie and a even better blueberry muffin, and you can buy the mix, cafe also has snacks, candy, drinks, coffee, breakfast sandwiches,etc. The mini cafe also sells sunscreen, aloe,hats, shirts, sunglasses, medicine, and more! Outside is wild, in between two buildings is a decorative stream with sitting areas and fire pits, there is a tiki bar with delicious food and drinks, I got the smash-burger and it was amazing, not just crappy reheated food, this was actual cooked goodness, there are two beautiful pools, one for adults, one for kids and adults. Music is played which makes it feel like a lively pool party all day, and, possibly the best part of this, beach access, a beautiful beach filled with shells, has beautiful, warm, turquoise water. Both beach and pool are nice and lukewarm, and are perfect temperature. It is right near a little area called St.Armands Circle, which I would definitely recommend going to. Almost as if they made changes to the menu and the ingredients they use. Our recent trip the items were slightly different and not as good as they used to be. Fish tacos were dry and tough. And the fish sandwich felt as if the ingredients were changed. Still decent but not as good as in the past. What we've always lived and still do: cocktails are delicious (stay away from frozen mojito), fries awesome and seasoned perfectly, burger was fresh and tasted great, and the fact that you're right off the beach. It's a 2 overall: 5 for the beach, 5 for the Tiki Bar, a 1 for the complexity in picking a tower and a room, and a -3 for price to value. Location is everything, and that's why they can command 474 for a basic room + $40 for the "resort fee". That fee alone is enough to piss me off for "2 waters, wifi, gym & a bag of microwave popcorn. But...the beach IS AWESOME!! PAY ATTENTION to the tower you stay in. The Tiki Tower is old school FLA motel & all you need to do is read the other reviews. We paid more for the Palm Tower (thank God), and parking in the multistory garage was easy, and so were the elevators. Our room (1014) was fine and clean - but check out the "view." Location is everything, and to be able to ride the elevator down and walk onto the beach is awesome. In addition, the chairs on the beach are very comfortable. We walked just down the beach & the Ritz beach club/location is really close (although the resort is a few miles away). So, as best I can tell, this is the only hotel right on the beach. We DID ENJOY the Tiki Bar. Great friendly service, excellent drinks, and delicious grilled calamari. Even if you don't stay at the resort, it's worth a stop as you walk the beach. The adult pool is tiny & one side is basically out of service as there is construction above. Staff above all was friendly, helpful and incredibly kind. We were Impressed with how welcoming, helpful and friendly all of the staff at the resort seemed. The hotel lobby is beautiful. It looks right out of the Potterybarn catalog. They offer free drinks upon check in. We were Given a room on the 1 at floor. I kindly asked for a higher room and the obliged. Not much different but we ended up in the tiki tower floor two just buy the tiki bar inside. It was perfectly located to the stairs but without any extra noise. The room was clean comfy and the added kitchenette was welcomed for all the cold water we would need. The beach was beautiful. The umbrella and chairs were comfy and welcomed. The white sand is super fine like powdered sugar. We loved the free shuttle to and from town and used it quite often over our four days. On the last night we tried Drift. What a beautiful restaurant. The whole floor. The waiting area, the bathrooms and the dining room are what all restaurants should have. We were quite impressed. The sunset was beautiful from there. We booked a stay at Lido Beach Resort to celebrate our second anniversary. The mixed reviews had me a tad nervous, but man... it was excellent! Sure, it's pricey. But with good reason in our experience. We got to the resort 5 hours before check in and left our bags with the valet. They told us to enjoy all amenities until our room was ready and they hoped they could get that arranged before 4pm. Okay, no big deal, super accommodating and really nice. We walked around a bit and then ate at the tiki bar. The drinks were great, bartenders were quick and nice and the food was good. Above average bar food. Then the front desk reached out to us and let us know the room was ready. The room was absolutely lovely. Clean, spacious and an absolutely insane view. This is what we wanted! It was worth it for me at that point. But then, they showed up with a cheese plate and champagne to help us celebrate our anniversary, which was so classy and sweet. The shuttle to Armands Circle is a great feature as well. Next morning, we hit the beach at 8am. A little line formed to wait for the chairs and umbrellas but it was no big deal and the guys were working quickly. It's abundantly clear the benefit you get from staying at the resort. The public beach next to the resort was packed to the max. Lido Beach Resort's beach was peaceful, quiet and stunning. We took advantage of the tiki bar a few times, the lobby cafe a few times and we ate at Drift as well. All very good. Housekeeping was great too! I mean, we will be back. My son and I spent 4 full days here October 14 - 17 we left the following morning we had a travel agent book the trip for us I called the hotel @ 3 weeks before our trip hoping to get a ocean front they said if you cancel with your travel agent and book with us yes we can do that but I didn't want to start moving things around, so a lesson to be learned book with the hotel direct.....They have two building the Palm building 14 floors and a building next door 4 floors not much of a view of the ocean one side only view parking lot the Lido Beach Resort is beautiful no doubt we paid $ 359.00 dollars a night we were in the smaller building we had 2 separate rooms they were charging with tax $ 45.20 dollars a day per room! I mentioned what is this for ? I was told its for Incidentals ??? 2 small bottles of water, 1 small bag of popcorn, shuttle which we never used and internet I mentioned yes the first day we were there we drank the small water and popcorn for one day we mentioned to the front desk their is no need to change our sheets or replace the popcorn or 2 bottles of spring water but was charged $ after talking with a rep from the hotel they did take a little money off but seriously $ 45.20 dollars for 2 small bottles of water, popcorn, and shuttle we never used ???? read more

A few recommendations would be beach service, painting and repair concrete on building (looks somewhat run down), fix smelly sulfur odor drain issue (read on another review as well), put some tlc into tiki tower outside hallways (looks run down). Also the pastry's were sold out way too early for breakfast (multiple days). I would 100% stay again and enjoyed my time here. read more

WOW, we loved this welcoming detail! 2) You are handed an elastic bracelet, which is so ingenious ... I wish EVERY resort hotel would adopt this idea, as it's so convenient to have your room entry on a bracelet instead of a card that can get misplaced. Basically we kept our comfy bracelets on the entire visit (5 days/4 nights) 3) We were so happily surprised with the quality of this hotel, as it's advertised as a 4-Star Hotel, but in fact is feels like a 5-Star property! When I asked WHY they don't advertise it as a "5-Star Resort" they replied that because they don't offer 24/7 room service they are NOT allowed to call themselves a 5-Star Hotel. (Believe me, you WON'T miss the 24/7 room service as it feels like the front desk is at your service 24/7) In fact, they provide a number to text them and every time we sent a text they immediately responded. EXCELLENT SERVICE with a Smile 4) Once we entered our room on the 7th floor (Room 7009) we were happily surprised as everything looked NEW!!! This is a hotel where the photos do not do it justice. You will love the room. Treat yourself to a larger suite overlooking the ocean with a balcony. 5) Speaking of balconies, they have the most comfy rocking chairs on the balcony. We enjoyed sitting on our private balcony at sunset enjoying the view and toasting to the beauty of Lido Beach. 6) When I went into the roomy bathroom I was OVERJOYED to see so much storage space! They have wall to wall shelves below the sink where you can store all of your possessions. 7) NEST is indeed the BEST brand of soap, shampoo and conditioner and I was thrilled to see they offer a LARGE bar of soap in the shower. 8) I'm spoiled when it comes to towels, as normally I stay in 5-star hotels such as The Four Seasons. I love white, fluffy, thick towels and the Lido Resort did not disappoint. 9) I'm a foodie, and we immediately decided to go for lunch at DRIFT (their restaurant on the 8th floor) Please treat yourself. The food and service at DRIFT is EXCELLENT. The atmosphere is amazing. (You'll be tempted to eat all your meals at DRIFT) I highly recommend eating breakfast at DRIFT. It was THE best poached eggs with hollandaise sauce I've EVER tasted in my life. Since I always order eggs Benedict, I know what I'm talking about. The Chef truly cooks a perfect poached egg! 10) The pool is beyond perfect. Never crowded and always crystal clean. The beach is a special treat ... as we live in Palm Beach where the sand is tan, not white. Walking on hot, tan sand hurts your feet. Walking on cool white powdery sand NEVER burns. The Lido Beach looks REALLY good in pictures. Better than the actual place warrants. Upon closer inspection, you can tell that there is a lot of furniture that is coming apart at the seams or frayed or slightly dinged here and there. I give this resort kudos for keeping in all together throughout the pandemic however. It's been difficult for these resorts, especially the ones in prime tourist locations to stay afloat and in the black. The restaurant DRIFT was the primary reason I went to this hotel. The place itself was OKAY but nothing to write home about. Looks like they are trying to renovate and staff up their restaurant. The employees were nice but many of them didn't speak English. It appeared that this hotel was in the process of training new personnel. I had a somewhat chaotic experience as many of them came up to me but didn't know how to fulfill my simple request. Overall, from studying the patrons/customers of this place it seems to appeal to an overall European crowd and while I was there I heard, Czechoslovakian, Dutch, German, Polish, Romanian .. and of course some South American. read more

This is not a resort, it's a party hotel for people ages 35-65. I've been at expensive hotels and I've been at $6 a night hostels and this hotel was bottom tier for how expensive the cost was for a single room, no ocean view. We specifically chose this hotel to bring our dog, with not too many hotel options allow pets (in this area). Upon trying to park, I thought it was odd there was no valet services.. so I waited in the car for my boyfriend to check in and ask what the parking situation was. The desk person was irritated and said that he needs to check in, in order to get parking. -At what hotel has that ever been the situation??- should we have just left the car running while running in to check in at the front desk with our dog?.. We parked with the only information that we needed our room keys to enter the garage (which has no security or gates to block anyone from walking in). We parked and wasn't sure where to go, since we were given a map of the first floor only. NO ONE is wearing masks. No guests, no one in the elevators, no one walking around with kids.. it was a mask free party. We got stares when guests and employees looked at us going to our room. Our room was standard hotel, with essentials. No pet items which are offered on the website- dog bowls, towels and a bed. So nice our $75 pet fee went to a good place. I wanted to get a good scope of the hotel, since we were paying a good amount of money for a nice view and hotel experience. We walked the outdoor tiki bar/ pool area and to the beach. There's lots of lounge chairs but none were cleaned. Tiki bar was a mask-less party. A completely booked hotel means a bar and pool area full of drunk adults and bar attendees- some not even wearing true masks- most had them hanging below their chins. We got a good walk through of the hotel and decided to spend our money elsewhere. I didn't appreciate the lack of respect and guest services available. I woke up early the next morning to watch the sunrise, I awoke to the room service cleaning, strolling carts and our upstairs neighbors also moving around In their room. I walked out to the ocean to see that drinks and slices of fruit from drinks littered the bar tables and lounge chairs near the water. There was also a couple sleeping in from the night before.. on the outdoor benches near the front entrance. The cost of this hotel is due to the view and THATS IT. I will never go to this hotel again, and warn others to spend their money elsewhere. $$$$ you can stay at the ritz Carlton just down the road for the same costs- same views. The Westin (Sarasota) is pet friendly and has incredible guest services for half the cost. read more

I stayed here for a work trip and would definitely recommend this hotel when staying in Sarasota. I stayed in the newer tower, so my room was wonderful. It was spacious, with a full kitchen, large bathroom and balcony overlooking the beach. The pools were nice (loved that their was a kids and adults pool), location to the beach and downtown was unbeatable. They offer a free shuttle to St. Armand's Square and the driver was very friendly and helpful offering recommendations. The restaurants in the hotel (Drift) was great with wonderful views, and the tiki bar by the pool had fun drinks and decent food. I would like to preface this by saying I am a person who stays in hotels weekly for work, being a Diamond elite member with both IHG and Hilton hotels so was more then able to stay on points or much discounted rate elsewhere whilst being taken care of the way you do when on vacation. When I originally booked the room I thought I had book the incorrect room and called immediately after saying I believe I took the incorrect room and I would like to cancel so I can rebook the proper room which may have even been a bit more money. I was told repeatedly that I had booked a room with one bedroom and a separate living room. I asked again told yes I booked the correct room not to worry. So I let the reservation stand. When I arrived at the hotel I saw that the room that was indeed booked was a studio King suite . When I told the hotel staff about the situation and they asked me who I spoke to I told them I could not remember but it was directly after I booked the hotel and I could see and their facial expressions they knew exactly who I spoke to. They said they were going to make it right by getting me into the correct room I originally wanted. My vacation is not to chase after the staff I never received a call. No type of effort was made to get me into the correct room and comtinued staying in the small inferior room. If you're looking for a resort this is not the place it is old outdated hotel. This is a great resort that has its own private beach. Rooms are nice but missing a few things like a coffee maker but that may be because of Covid. Check in was quick. Parking was really nice as we got to park right outside of our room as the garage was multilevel that matched the rooms We had a room that faced the ocean. This was so nice to be able to wake up to the sound of the ocean and have coffee on the patio was amazing. We would also come back to the room from the beach for lunch and cook. Eat on the patio with the ocean breeze. There restaurant is amazing and highly recommended. I wrote about it in another post. Bottom Line - This is a pretty expensive place and honestly we did not feel it was worth it. It may be because of covid and I hate to nitpick but for that much money we should not have had to call room service multiple times to get towels for example. However we did have a great time and made full use of what they offered and had. Will we go back? if we can get a deal, maybe. read more

The room was filthy, window air conditioning unit, bugs, cobwebs, my feet were black from dirty floor. Staff was not helpful. Did not care. I left the next day and found another hotel. Absolutely perfect place for a getaway! We are local, and wanted to enjoy our favorite beach, not have to fly or drive far. We were not disappointed! We were originally supposed to stay over the weekend, but changed to mid-week, which I recommend. For $15 more a day, we were able to upgrade to a Jr.Suite with a balcony. We stayed in the Tower on the 7th floor. Small kitchenette, full refrigerator, breakfast bar, table...too much for just the two of us but it gave it a spacious feel. Would be perfect for a family of four as there's a pull out couch. I'm very picky about rooms - this was clean, no bugs, and nothing was old and dinged up or anything. Nobody had an attitude here or looked unhappy. The service was perfect. But - I don't ever expect great service to equal someone kissing my you know what all day. Anyway... The beds are on the soft side, but comfortable. The pillows...lumpy? Is the only way to describe them. They're not at all comfortable. I would dock half a star just for that as it wasn't a good night's sleep. We ate at the Tiki bar for lunch - and I got a really strong rum runner! - chicken blt for me and a po boy for my husband. We split wings. Everything was good, my sandwich was my favorite. The next day we enjoyed quesadillas. Spicy good! We ate at Drift for dinner, hitting up their happy hour specials in advance (really big, nice bar there) - 3 apps and we split an entree. We got the meatballs (amazing), burratta salad (ok), crab cakes (amazing), and split the ribeye (ok, underwhelming). Key lime pie for dessert was tasty, but had a grainy sugar texture. The blueberry martini was delish. Overall, I wish we'd had more time here but we will definitely be back!!! Tips: - the Tiki Tower is motel style, and the "balcony" is your front door, with people walking by all day. Do not recommend even though it's cheaper. - you get a bracelet which is your room key and access to everything locked onsite. The Tiki bar is a great spot for drinks and food. A hospitable place for sure. It's not a cheap place to drink so be prepared for $15 dollar drinks. read more

Really nice area with great resources. Beach area was clean. You have to bring your own chairs etc if you're not staying at the resort. Great place to come to and enjoy the beach. My wife and I wanted a place to stay celebrating our 10 year anniversary at a place where the weather was nice and a beach and pool was accessible. Through a friend we found Siesta Key and through looking for a place we stumbled upon Lido Beach Resort. This was the best stumble in my life. All signs pointed to yes when we booked our room with the promotional resort credit. Which if they have when you book it's a MUST! It just makes your time and your experience that much better. There is a Tiki (Older side) and the Palm Tower newer side. We stayed on the Tiki side and the room was nice and clean and updated. We figured we're not going to really be in the room anyway, why? Because they have two pools, one adult only and one for families, and also private beach access with chairs and umbrellas. Literally everything is here from the Drift restaurant to the tiki bar, room service is also available. When we first got here to check in everyone was inviting and accommodating especially Franchi at the front desk. Her customer service was awesome and she really went out of her way to make us feel very special and welcomed for our 10 year anniversary. Thank you so much Franchi! Overall the experience was just great. The poolside staff were nice, the guys who did the chairs on the beach were great, housekeeping was great. Everyone we encountered was great. I would recommend you stay here if you are in the Lido area. They only thing that I would critique just to keep this review true is the $15 charge per day for the beach umbrella, the chairs are free. I rather they up the resort fee $5-$10 for everyone and make the umbrellas a first come first serve until all are gone type of system. Still the charge didn't lessen the experience, one because the price wasn't terrible, but also it was covered in the resort credit. If you have made it this far in the review I'm sure you were already considering staying here so stop pump faking and just do it! read more

This resort is dingy & depressing. The lobby is beautiful the Drift restaurant is beautiful but the rest of this place is a zero. Dirty walls & doors in the rooms. Bathrooms are so dry dry motel vibes. Upon checking in room was dirty. Sand & trash all over the floors on the counter tops. No pool service. Yucky old pools. No food or drink service on the beach. No laundry service. In this visit place they have 3 self serve washing machines that n creepy hot rooms where the door spans behind you. So creepy! You get quarters from the front desk & buy detergent there. Then washing machine didnt work. Our soaking wet laundry sitting in a broken machine when we are trying to check out. In one laundry room there was a detergent dispensary we put all our quarters in but nothing came out!!!! I wouldn't stay here again if you paid me. DONT DO IT!!!! read more

Not bad at all! The resort consist of two separate building one newer than the other. Even the outdated areas were nice and clean staff friendly pool was great bar food was not great music by the pool. We are right on the beach, beach area is beautiful. We were lucky enough to be there while a wedding to Place. Amazing sunsets every evening!! The staff makes resort it is! Great place to enjoy the beautiful beaches, great location and not break the bank! Fanchy at the front desk was a pleasure. All the hardworking staff outside always remained with a smile! Nice place, I rented a block of 20 plus rooms post Hurricane as we were working in this area. Second night I moved onto tower side floor 300. Wake up one night to a drop ceiling that caved in from A/c pan drain, toiletry bag destroyed. Go down tell manager on shift, they move me to floor 500 , wake up in middle of night to dripping noise, hours later I see a ceiling tile soaking wet from a drain pipe in ceiling leaking. Go talk to front desk and ask them to have manager call me.,24 days later no call, nothing.,and yes still have a block of over 20 rooms. Staff great Food great Site great All I was wanting at the end of the day was a sorry or maybe even a new tooth brush. Management could use some training on dealing with people when they have issues. I won't even get into some of the other issues a few of my colleagues had. Let's just say the bugs are bad and that was taken care of pretty quickly by moving rooms. read more
