I have been a patient since 2006 and can honestly say that Dr. Kuo is the best optometrist in the Bay Area. If you are looking for a basic place to do an eye exam and make a cheap pair of glasses then HONESTLY this is NOT the place for you. Dr. Kuo and her team of masterful opticians helped me choose a frame that suited my face shape perfectly, shooting pictures of me in different frames along the way to help me decide. I'm so glad to have such a great optometrist in the area! I've been seeing Dr. Kuo for the last 3 years and I'm a bit reluctant to say, but I consider myself very picky when it comes to my glasses and eye exams. She was extremely patient when dealing with my latest cumbersome request. I gave her the exact frame model, make, and color along with the lens material, coating, and prescription and date in which my annual VSP allowance would kick in. She provided me with all the cost options (ordering the frames through her with VSP, buying the frames myself without VSP, etc) and followed up with her frame provider. Unfortunately, due to Hurricane Sandy, some supplier offices/warehouses were closed so they couldn't check inventory. Dr. Kuo personally followed up on a regular basis for 3-4 weeks until they were able to locate the frames. The whole ordeal took more than 5 weeks and I honestly felt horrible for consuming so much of their time. However, in the end they delivered and the service was excellent as usual. Also, they've always been able to perform successful glaucoma exams (I'm particular sensitive with this test) and can pay particular attention to retinal exams as well. read more

I went to see Dr. Kuo for a return visit not long ago. Since the last time I was there, her optical shop is now all set up and fully stocked. I had a comprehensive exam done, including a dilated eye exam, and was re-fitted for contacts. Everything was completed in a timely manner and with a tremendous amount of courtesy. What was most impressive, however, was the attention Dr. Kuo paid to my previous Yelp review :P She apologized for any misunderstanding with billing, and she took care to explain everything in greater detail this time around, even when I asked to double-check the numbers. I can't speak to the experience of buying frames there, but with respect to basic eye care I highly recommend! read more

I wouldn't know where to begin. She is absolutely amazing- both as a person and as a professional. She treats you like a friend and shows that she cares for her patients. I have had a very hard time with my eye exams ever since I started wearing contacts, and have always needed 1-2hrs at least to have a completed eye exam. The Dr.'s had never figured out the right prescription and I had never really had a 20/20 vision even at the conclusion of the exams. Dr. Kuo approached me and spoke to me in plain terms and immediately recognized that I may need further testing by an ophthalmologist to figure out what was wrong. While every other doctor similarly had spent time for my eye exams, they never considered that something may be wrong with me. Sure enough, after numerous exams by her referred ophthalmologist they figured out that I did indeed have a problem. Ever since then I have gone in a few times and have called on a number of occasions and she has always patiently answered all my questions and kindly cooperated with every request I have had. I am SO excited to have found her and I wish there were more professionals out there like her. While I truly would like to get a Lasik done, I know I will always want to go to her for follow-ups and for reading glasses. If you're tired of not having your questions answered and for not having your concerns addressed, go to her. She makes sure you are comfortable and are fully taken care of. read more

Cute store front, I was looking for a new Optometrist for my family so I left messages with some local ones that were near my house and had good reviews. Sight Optometry called me back first and could see me on my next day off. I came early to fill out the paperwork. The staff was pleasant and the Dr. courteous. He tested myself and my 6 year old. We left, but needed to come back when my son let me know he needed a restroom. It was hard to get the staffs attention to ask for the bathroom. Not even a "we'll be right with you." It's good to see that they finally got their own space and it looks baller! Other people have mentioned already that they can be a bit disorganized which is true, but I value the hands on friendliness of the place. Dr. Kuo's mom runs the front of the shop and if you're booking an appt you're most likely going to be talking to her and she is the sweetest. Dr Kuo is also an awesome doc. Even though I've got the 20/20 eyes I don't mind spending the time to go get my checkups here. She really has a great personality and is thorough. She'll explain what she's checking for and really try to get your prescription right. You feel like you can just shoot shiz with her and whenever I go it really feels like I'm visiting a friend's place. She'll help you choose your glasses and tell you which ones have "attitude." It's that kind of welcoming feeling that'll keep me coming back. Did I mention their hours rock? They've always been super flexible with me given that I'm werkin those late hours. I've been seeing Dr. Kuo for the past 5 years or so and she has consistently delivered friendly, quality service. I think she was just starting out my first time seeing her and she took a lot of time to educate me on contact lenses and eye care in general. During my first appointment, she saw me after hours to accommodate my schedule. She even sent her patients emails every now and then to provide updates on products and other news. Now that her practice has grown, she still has pretty good hours to accommodate work schedules. To my knowledge, she hasn't been sending emails. I miss that a bit, but her service and staff still deliver quality and friendly service. Oh! And they're honest with you in choosing the right pair of glasses ;) They saved me from purchasing a not-so-cute pair that looked good at the time and helped me decide on a pair of classic frames that I still love. read more

I've never had an eye doctor take such personal care of her patients. I went in for a visit with Doctor Kuo after two years, and found her moved to a sparkling new, bigger office on Castro Street. So much space, much more selection and the same smiling faces to greet you when you come in. I was surprised to find that Dr. Kuo not only remember me, but asked about my boyfriend, how work was going and how my family back east was doing! Amazing memory and as always great conversation throughout. Dr. Kuo's trying out a new technology that photos the back of your eye-- pretty cool and she walks you through what the pictures actually mean. After dilating my eyes, Dr. Kuo helped me look for snazzy new frames and proficiently multi-tasked as I took a closer look. I found beautiful new frames and though I spent a LOT more than I anticipated, Dr. Kuo and her assistants were very upfront about discounts/pricing etc. You're going to pay more than at Lenscrafters, but I came out feeling really good about my purchase, knowledgeable about the health of my eyes, and happy that I'd spent time with such nice people. This is a long overdue review for Dr. Kuo and the team at Sight. I have been a customer for more than 4 years. I have always received great eyecare and I'm happy with the range of frames they have available in the office. I have purchased several pairs of frames and lenses for me and my family, including progressive lenses and they have done a great job. But what makes me recommend Dr. Kuo to my friends and colleagues is that she diagnosed a rare eye disease in my son called Thygeson´s Superficial Punctate Keratitis! My 14 yr son had been complaining of dry, sore eyes for about 18 months and we had visited our GP more than 3 times to get it checked out. We were told that it might be allergies, or due to a cold, or an eye infection. The doctor never suggested we see an eye specialist or optometrist for an exam. But when Dr. Kuo looked at his eyes, she recognized something was not right and was suspicious it was Thygeson's. She referred us to a corneal specialist who confirmed the diagnosis and prescribed medication. It's a chronic condition that we have to monitor but it's so good to have a diagnosis and treatment plan now. It makes me realize how important it is to have regular eye exams for your whole family and to be sure you are seeing a highly qualified, competent optometrist. I recommend Dr. Kuo without hesitation. read more

I've looked at few dozen reviews before I made an appointment with Dr. Kuo. Dr. Kuo seems pleasant enough and the examination was fairly courteous. But the experience in choosing the contacts and eyeglasses was absolutely horrifying. Grace, an old lady that is likely Dr. Kuo's mother, tried to up-sell at every opportunities, offering wrong information. After charging my credit card, she accused me of misunderstanding her ("listen more carefully next time") when asked why I am not getting what was described. After lengthy and several phone calls, the store manager (who wasn't Grace) agreed to fulfill their original promise. I explained the whole ordeal left bad taste in my mouth and I would like full refund. They agreed and I hung up. Few hours later, Grace called back and left a voice mail. She said they cannot offer refund as they promised earlier. So I called my credit card to open a dispute and insurance to withhold any payments. If Sight Optometry is reading this, I have an advice. While you are not wrong trying to make well deserved money for service rendered, health care is all about building a relationship. Good relationship blossoms in referrals and continuous repeat businesses. Practices like accusing customers, trying to up-sell at every opportunities, giving wrong information, and holding back on your promises are not the ways to build a good relationship. I consider myself a reasonable person and through out this whole ordeal, I was careful not to lose my cool and temper. But when the person on the other end is yelling at you, it's difficult not to get angry and prompt me to write a review. read more

We did not like the staff's aggressive sales tactics. My husband expressed a specific preference for one style of frames and dislike of another. He was trying on frames in one area of the store, but the sales girl interrupted him and ushered him to another area where the frames were clearly much more expensive and in the style that my husband said he disliked. Each time he said he didn't see anything he liked, the sales girl touted the customizability of the expensive brand. When she couldn't get anywhere with the sale, she handed us over to a second salesperson, who proceeded to re-hash the whole let-me-show-you-this-expensive-frame-that-you-don't-like process. Are you friggin' kidding me? Healthcare professionals are supposed to put patients' best interest first without consideration of monetary incentives. That's why doctors can prescribe drugs but cannot sell them to patients, otherwise a conflict of interest would arise. Optometrists hold themselves to be healthcare professionals, but they clearly do not adhere to the same conflict-of-interest standards as medical doctors. They recommend frames, push hard to make a sale (or at least have their staff do it), and in the process lose credibility as "doctors". In this case, Dr. Kuo seems a competent enough optometrist and a friendly sort of person. But the way her staff behaves (more like used-car salespeople than office staff) reflects poorly on her practice and undermines her professional recommendations. Maybe she should spend some time organizing the office and fixing the patient flow instead of focusing on sell sell sell. We will not be returning. read more

EDIT: Since writing the review below, my perspective has changed somewhat. I think it was partially just that people communicate in different ways, and have different expectations in the same setting. Having spoken to a few friends now, nobody has had a similar experience, theirs were much more positive, and they felt in full control of the process. My tip would be: try to be very clear about what you want, especially if it's not the usual thing. _____________________________________________________ Original review (unchanged): Summary: These guys really want to sell you expensive glasses, as others have said. That's my only complaint, everything else seemed great. If you can and don't mind paying for a few extras here and there, it could easily be the place for you. My main complaints are: - The selling started immediately (within the prescription) and never stopped, it took a long time despite me (politely) pushing back constantly. They did not get the message. An hour after my prescription was done (and the official closing time), I finally managed to leave. - I felt misled by much of what was said to me, and much of it was well trained patter using suggestive phrasing. Designed to show off some new technique, and not focused on my needs. - I really felt they didn't have my interests at heart when discussing all the things I could buy. Details: - I was clear from the start that I wanted a prescription, probably not glasses. When I finally paid they did not give me a prescription. I asked for one, they said "sorry the optician has gone home now". I was not happy, but another doctor signed for it. I complained that almost all the fields were blank, for example pupillary distance wasn't entered (it's required to buy glasses), and they agreed to add that (most still blank). - When it came to glasses I explained that I was probably going to buy glasses from England from a business I liked and knew. I pointed out that the glasses I was wearing at the time (and was very happy with) cost the equivalent of $35. This did not stop an endless stream of glasses being shown to me. They started off costing hundreds more than my insurance cap, but I explained that I didn't want that. We ended up in this stupid loop where I said "too expensive" she brought cheaper ones "I want rimless (like the ones I was wearing)", so she brought rimless ones that were too expensive and so on. - I was repeatedly told that it would be a waste not to take advantage of glasses that my insurance would cover (while mostly being shown glasses that it did not). It's not really true anyway even for cheap ones. For example, there is a $25 copay per pair (they were strongly encouraging me to get two pairs). For what it's worth, the copay itself seems like a good idea to me, to stop people from making other people buy things that won't even be used. - Apart from the absent mention of the $25/pair copay, they also didn't mention that the second (computer) pair had a lower insurance cap so I'd have to pay more. - I ended up getting sunglasses. They were apparently oversized, so that was an extra fee (at the till). Why? I mean, there's a price on them, why isn't it the right one? They wanted to encourage me to get polarized lenses (not covered). Maybe that's fine, but they brought out this special trick display that showed about a 3x improvement in definition using them. I've used polarized lenses, they don't make that kind of difference. - I was going to get computer glasses as well, but half way through the various charges mounting during my quote I cancelled these. That was clearly disappointing and the conversation did not end there. I was shown maybe 5 more pairs, some as I was trying to pay with card in hand. All this having said I didn't want computer glasses anymore! In the end I paid $82 (+ $10 for the prescription) for a pair of glasses that I thought would be ~$40. Only $82 because I continued to fight against extras. Sight Optometry: If anything I've said here seems unfair, I'm sorry. This is the most accurate description I can produce, and I will help clarify or correct anything that seems amiss to you. read more

Only recently did I decide my visit here about three years back validated a review. After reading all the reviews on Yelp, I thought I'd give this place a shot. I even referred my sister to this place. Dr. Kuo was very friendly and talkative. My eye exam was the lengthiest ever...however it was only towards the end of the exam she actually read the objective on my chart and realized I was here for contact lens fitting. I mentioned that my vision tended to blur at night. Based on my eye exam results, she fitted me with toric lenses to adjust for my astigmatism. I was given two choices to try for a week. I chose the one that was least uncomfy, thinking that I would get used to the toric lenses (lens is constantly readjusting), and one or two weeks after the fitting, I ordered 4 boxes through Dr. Kuo's office over the phone. Btw, the lens company BIOFINITY tried to screw me over on the rebate...a fiery email fixed that issue! Make copies of the rebates you mail in, boy & girls!!! (Still, the rebate Biofinity agreed to was $25 less then was advertised by Dr. Kuo) And b/c I had crappy eye coverage--no money saved (contrary to Dr. Kuo's argument how I would save money if I bought 4 instead of 2 boxes)! Lens comfort did not improve, and I would get headaches. I attributed it to the toric lenses tiring my eyes out. After two months on and off of trying to make them work, I gave up and reverted to my old contact lenses. The relief was instantaneous. I've since then been to two other optometrist. Both have told me my astigmatism is so low, it does not even warrant correction in my contacts. When I bought in the Biofinity Box with prescription strength in for my most recent optometrist, he actually did a double take and asked me if I had bought in the wrong product. Dr. Kuo had prescribed me with astigmatism of -1.75. Both optometrist I've been to consequently have told me my astigmatism is less then -.75, and is not worth correcting since toric lenses are much more expensive. I just threw away four expensive boxes of contact lenses (I only wanted to 2 boxes) unworn. I've been a Four-Eye since I was 8 years old- thats over 20 years of optometrist visits and it never occurred to me that I would be given an incorrect prescription, and unfortunately I'm also the type to blame myself for everything ("Why do I get a headache? Cuz I'm weak!!!"). After spending a LOT of money out of pocket ($200, with insurance- toldya I had crap coverage) , I really wanted to give this office 1 star. But having spoken to Dr. Kuo, I know she really takes her Yelp Reviews seriously, and I'm sure if I had just called her and told her about the headaches, she would have troubleshooted. Still- 45 minute drive one way on my day off? The three times for the fitting and pick up was enough. It should just be done right the first time. *** update: Dr. Kuo called and left a message on my phone. She said she did some research and found that in my records, she did write down I have -.75 astigmatism, and that was what they ordered. However, the contact lens company must have sent the wrong prescription, and on top of that, her staff failed to catch the mistake. She was very apologetic about it, and I really wish I was the type to call my doctors ten time a day to complain about every minor thing, b/c then this lengthy review would've been avoided!!! But here's the thing that bugs me: If indeed the Dr wrote -0.75 on paper, why would she have me try on and order more expensive toric lenses when consequent optometrists tell me it is unnecessary for such low astigmatism? The doctor is good and competent. Her younger associate is okay. However, I would have to agree with other reviews about the aggressiveness of the staff. Our first visit was only for browsing; but immediately, it felt like a constant bombardment of sales pitches. After my husband's exam, it was the same. The staff seemed less professional than other places probably because the mother of the doctor was helping to run the staff. I went to Dr. Kuo based on all the positive yelp reviews. However, I find that the quality of service seems to have gone down the hill. I made an eye exam appointment for my husband and myself, took over two hours for both of us for a basic eye exam! The staff are friendly but very pushy selling their eyeglasses. I was checking out the glasses while my husband was having his eye exam, one of the staff literally followed me around the whole time. Although our exams took much longer than usual, it wasn't because it was a detailed and thorough exam. It was because we waited for a long time even with appointments. In fact, Dr. Kuo seemed to have rush through our exams and I didn't get my questions answered thoroughly. I have no idea why there's so many positive reviews, which is very misleading. Last but not least, her equipment is extremely old and not up to date. I feel like I'm back to an optometrist from 15 years ago. If my insurance is covering my eye exam 100%, I'd rather go to an optometrist who carries some new if not latest equipment. One star for its flexible hours. I'll never come back to this optometrist. My wife ordered her contacts here at the first of December. On the 13th they called to say they would be ready on the 15th. On the 15th she called and they said their delivery would arrive after Noon. The order did not arrive. On January 3rd we called and they said that there must have been a mix-up; the contacts were never ordered. We downloaded the 1-800 contacts app instead and they will be delivered in 3 days. Having moved to Mountain View in the last year, I needed a new optometrist and turned to yelp per usual. Sadly, this time didn't pan out so well. Overall, it took me almost an hour and a half to get through a routine yearly eye exam - and yes, it was scheduled normally (meaning: well ahead of the date). The major problems I have with this place are that they seem much less efficient and organized than any other optometrist I've ever been to - including Walmart optometry a long while back. I had to wait for the pre-exam, wait more after that for the doctor, and then wait longer when she wandered off for my glasses measurements (shouldn't that only take a minute or so to grab from the receptionist?). Then, they forgot to give me a copy of my prescription (I needed both glasses and contacts and insurance only covers one of those, so I wanted to find frames elsewhere). When I asked for it, the receptionist kept trying to sell me on the designer frames they had in-store and trying to delay the actual handover. Finally, despite them assuring me that my contacts would come in within a few days, it actually took a week and a half, which isn't itself a big deal, except that they acted as if I was being annoyingly impatient when I called a week later to check on things just in case. It's a shame because despite the shortcomings of this place, I like Dr. Kuo - she explained things a bit more than most optometrists and was very friendly. But I'd prefer going someplace where I don't end up frustrated at the end of the experience. read more

One star! Actually, this place doesn't even deserve this one star rating. What a disappointment and waste of time! They messed up the prescription 3 times in a row. 3 different doctors at Sight Optometry and 3 different prescriptions. "Oh you have astigmatism", "Oh no you don't", "Maybe the aspheric lenses is the problem", "Maybe not!"... Give me a break! And go back to school to become a proper optometrist already! Started going here for my eyeglasses needs since late last year. Dr. Kuo is nice and professional but the service from the other staffs have been declining ever since. Waiting for a long time is becoming the norm. They are clearly doing very well and well enough so that they don't have to care for each and every patient/customer. Well, there is always someplace else to shop from. (Update 10/01/2012) Since my last review, Dr. Kuo contacted me via email with an apology. I didn't get a chance to get back as I didn't have time during their business hours. When I finally made it back last week, she sat down with me, again apologizing for the issues I had during the previous visits and said some things she's trying to change. She also offered to pick up the tab for re-doing the lenses for my reading glass, which is very much appreciated. Again, Dr. Kuo has been always nice and professional and I appreciate Ms. Kuo's (her mother) hospitality too. I sincerely hope this "change" is real since it took me a few tries to find this place and wouldn't want to go through the hassle again to find another place. If I could give her six stars, I would. Let me document my experience with Dr. Kuo while my memories are still fresh, or else my laziness will get to me. My husband and I have been Dr. Kuo's patient for over 2 years now and we can't be happier with her stellar service and expertise. But what impressed me the most was how she treated my mom. My mom is visiting from down under, where she was recently diagnosed with retinal vein occlusion which luckily didn't result in any vision loss. However while on the flight to the US, she apparently suffered from a deepened macular edema which resulted in blurred and shadowy vision. As a result, I decided to take her to Dr. Kuo for a checkup. Dr. Kuo's checkup was very thorough and immediately she spotted that my mom's retina suffered from more inflammation and bleeding since her last diagnosis. She referred us to a retina ophthalmologist for further examination. But the story didn't end here. Despite her busy schedule, I was literally harassing her for writeup and digital retinal images taken earlier to be forwarded to the ophthalmologist. She was very responsive and took the initiative to look up the ophthalmologist I chose (I wanted someone closer and willing to discount for all cash patient), faxed over all the information I asked for on a very short notice. Then, after my appointment with the specialist, she actually called me up for feedback. My business with her should have ended right at the moment she referred me and passed over the medical records, and my mom, a visitor from out of country, is less likely to generate repeat business. But she cared enough to call at 8pm at night! On top of this, she is intellectually curious enough to learn what cure / treatment suggestions the retina ophthalmologist offered, and seek my feedback on this specialist so that she may refer future patients there. This tells me that apart from a good optometrist, she is also a good listener. I cannot recommend Dr. Kuo enough to anyone who care about their vision. Her mom, Grace, is also exceptionally nice and customer centric. It has been a great pleasure to be a customer of Sight Optometry. read more

I have to say, the Dr. Is good for eye check up but the overall business practice is kinda making me to feel not very trust worth it. They seem try to make any way to trick you into spending more $. Not sure what the hype is about, this place certainly does NOT deserve high ratings in my book. First off, the staff there is not friendly, you go in, and they don't even bother greeting you with a smile. Secondly, when I approach the counter, they don't even bother acknowledging you. This is just for starters. First time I went here, it's because it's right by my work, and I wanted to get my eyes checked out as part of a regular, annual check-up. I called a few days ahead of time and made an appointment. When I went on that day, on-time, I still had to wait 15 minutes. Then I was told I needed to come back 6 months later for a "field" test due to some possible eye anomaly. That's fine, so we schedule that. I come back 6 months later, again, on-time, and this time, I had to wait over 40 minutes. Nobody came out to tell me what's going on, and why I had to wait for so long. I gave up at the end and just left, as I had to go back to work for a meeting, and I didn't expect a quick test to take that long. Edit - Dr. Kuo personally called and apologized sincerely for the mishap, and explained due to some personnel issues they experienced that day, their service was not up to their usual standards. The fact she would follow up is good sign and deserves another look. I will give them another shot. read more

Attempted to use this place today. It's close to my work so I carved out some extra time for this appointment. I called on Monday to schedule my appointment and answered a dozen questions. I confirmed the address and time, and was pleased that I finally got something off my to-do list. I showed up and got blank eyes when I checked in. They had no idea who I was and kept asking for my last 4 of my social to see my insurance. I explained I had already given that information and I had full coverage. They then told me that they didn't have my appointment scheduled. Super dissapointing. Might have been a blessing though. The front desk is super messy and there are limited glass wear options. Hopefully this help future patrons with their optometry appointment. Meanwhile this goes back on my to-do list. read more

Dr. Kuo is fantastic! She is very personable, smart, and very professional. She helped me pick out some really cute frames and even let my kid look through her equipment. At my old optometrist's office, they used to always try to upsell me on my lenses but Dr. Kuo spelled out all the pricing and told me that I didn't need to get ultra thin lenses (that I'd gotten on my previous 4 pairs!). This woman is one hard-working lady -- she works at Kaiser and works at this office on her off days/evenings. I asked her if she had any days off during the week and she said that she has half days off here and there. I'm very excited that I have a new optometrist down in the South Bay! read more

Dr. Kuo is sweet and funny and competent. Great combination. She takes her time, is patient, and will tweak the lenses over and over and OVER again until you say you're happy. Then you come back two weeks ago and say it's not quite right and she'll tweak again. She really cares that you're comfortable. (I'm on my fifth combination of contact bifocals and we're still tweaking to get things just right.) And she and her mother give *great* fashion advice on frames! I look at some of the bad reviews and they're from people who prefer a more impersonal office. When you call Dr. Kuo you'll often be greeted by her mother, who is also very sweet but has some ESL problems. The office hours are quirky because it's a shared office. If you want a formal, streamlined office, this is not the place. If you want a doctor who will open outside her normal hours because you're flying out to your grandmother and need new contact lenses -- this is the practice for you. (Updated 12/2009) Dr. Kuo continues to be fantastic; she spent two months with me trying to find contact lenses that worked, then helped me test out superlight frames that wound up solving my particular lense problems. read more

Dr. Kuo is super sweet and knowledgeable. She makes annual eye exams actually sort of fun! She and her staff are easily reachable by email or phone and she's great about following up quickly if you call with any questions while she's with a patient. I have dropped by multiple times to pick up contacts, check out glasses, or something or other, and I always feel comfortable and welcome in this office. read more

This review is only for the eyeglass shopping experience here. (++) I have been wearing glasses for 15 years, so I'm very picky with what I put on my face. I already had a prescription and walked in to shop for eyeglass frames. They have a very wide selection of both plastic and metal frames, mostly designer, which was fantastic. (-) A saleswoman approached me after about 10 minutes in the store (which I don't mind, I like browsing first without being harassed). We quickly chatted and she pulled frames for me to try on. I told her I don't like the "cat-eye" look, but she kept pulling more of those anyway. She was not listening. (-) After about an hour of trying on frame after frame, I asked about the sizing of one particular pair I loved but were too big (wide) on me. She said they do not come in a smaller size in that color (as they were discontinued), and proceeded to put the purchase paperwork in front of me anyway. Another saleswoman came over to look at the frames on me, and agreed with me that they were too wide. I left, and called back later to confirm that they could not find them in the correct size. They confirmed they could not get it, and asked anyway when I would be back in to purchase the frame they had. Instead of being honest about the size, she tried to push me to purchase the wrong frames anyway. That's dishonest customer service, and I don't plan to return. read more

Great hours, they fit me in for an appointment next-day, which is amazing since it was a Sunday morning and I called on a Saturday and they picked up even though it wasn't business hours. The selection of frames in the shop is great and the doctor (Dr. Pan?) was really competent and knowledgable. read more

After years of doctors screwing up contacts for my atypical prescription, Dr. Kuo got it right on the first try, after spending 3 hours on the first appointment to make sure she'd got everything. She is fun and personable, and she's also fantastic about getting you to take better care of yourself. Finally, she has fantastic taste in glasses. read more

Dr. Kuo has gone out of her way to be available when I need her. She works with busy lifestyles and has been great about last minute changes and updates to availability for appointments. She's got a good sense of humor too. read more

I was very happy. She was kind and inspected my eyes with detail. She saved me a lot of money in the end as well through my insurance company. I appreciate her honesty. DO REALIZE, she is VERY VERY POPULAR, so if you are in a rush: schedule your appointment early in the morning when no one likes to go. This is one complaint which I hear a lot, but it is better to go to a good popular doctor, than a cruel stupid constantly accessible one. read more
