I love the usual eyebrow place I go to except that it's so far from my house so I decided to come here out of convenience. I chose to go to Suri because of her Yelp reviews. She is extremely sweet and I like the fact that she offers the option of threading or waxing, however, she completely screwed up my brows. She made one way shorter than the other. They were completely uneven and overall it was just not done well. I now have to wait before my eyebrows grow back normally so I can go back to my usual spot. I wish this place would have worked out because Suri is very sweet and this place is so close to my house, but I won't be returning because my eyebrows look horrible. read more

They usually ask you what you want and verify before doing anything - unlike other places. Love this cute place!! Amazing low prices and very detailed threading and waxing. I love the way my brows look afterward. I have very sensitive skin, but after the oil and toner were applied, I wasn't red just an hour later (usually my skin stays red and irritated for day). My eyebrow lady Sumi opened a new shop this week so I loyally followed her. She used to work at Vinita in Sherman Oaks on Ventura. The store is open now but their grand opening event will be next Saturday 3/11/17. The location is nice and clean with new paint and simple décor. It's located in a plaza right on Ventura Blvd. They do threading and waxing only and you don't need an appointment. The plaza that they are located in has plenty of parking available. I've been going here for the past year and it's gotten progressively worse. Each time I go, I get cuts along my eyebrows. After 14 years of getting my eyebrows waxed and threaded, I only got my first ingrown hair from this particular studio. They are incredibly harsh and rest their fingers on your eyelid while they work on the opposite side, which is very bothersome. Oh, and one time the employee added extra tip onto my card when she was ringing me up without asking me about the desired amount. I loved that this store is open on Sundays and is nearby my house. I do agree with the other reviewer in saying this place isn't for people with sensitive skin. I've had my face threaded for years and it's never resulted in how it did when I came here. I left with cuts and bumps all over my face. I still have some gnarly cuts all over my face looks like I got into a cat fight. The aloe Vera gel stung so much afterwards due to the numerous amounts of cuts. Also one of my eyebrows had too much hair taken out of so it's much lighter than the other. The lady who helped me was nice and tried to make conversation in the beginning. During the threading session, she would push my head one way or the other. At the end, I helped her process my credit card transaction, which I didn't mind. It was pretty interesting seeing the software. This place is convenient location and hours wise, but I don't believe I will be returning. read more

I followed Sumi here. She has been doing my eyebrows for 5+ years. I almost cried REAL tears when i showed up to her old place and saw someone else at her station. But, I found her, I'm so HAPPY! I have brought at least 7 friends to her that have continued with her unless they moved to another state. Not only can she whip your eyebrows into shape...but she is super sweet. You really do get what you paid for. I walked in and there was 4 girls sitting & talking. I don't mind that. I ask for Sumi because my friend goes to her. She did my brows and then handed me a napkin to wipe of the hairs, That's fine. I had to ask her to fix the brows because she didn't even seem to try, brows are sisters not twins I get that but I had to ask her about 3 times to fix the hairs because we left so many hairs undone. Not for people with delicate, sensitive skin. If you have a thick leather instead of regular skin, go for it! Wax is sticky like a glue and they use pieces of fabric to pull out the hair, which not only barely grab them, but actually pulls out the surface of your skin, peeling you off. I ended up with a bleeding nose and severe burns on my inner thighs. Super traumatizing experience. Needless to say -- never again. But I gave 2 stars cuz the lady realized the disaster she made, apologized, and charged me which I suspect was a quarter of the price I'd originally pay. Still quite expensive, cuz when I look now how damaged my skin got, it's a very depressive view. What a big doodookaka!!! :'( So, if you have a nice, soft, smooth skin, DON'T GO THERE!!! But if, instead, you look more like a turtle shelf than like a peach, this place may work for you. read more

I was looking for a new eyebrow specialist to go to for threading and I found Sumi on yelp. When I came in she was very welcoming and sat me down and asked me exactly what I'm looking for. During the threading she stopped a few times to show me my eyebrows to make sure she was doing what I asked and she did such an amazing job. I also told her I'm a bit afraid of threading my lip due to my pain tolerance so she waxed it for me and only had to thread a few small hairs. I didn't have any redness or bumps.
