This is a job which involves precision and a great amount of detail. He ensured I got the finest hammers from Germany, completed the restoration in the shop and returned to spend six hours meticulously integrating, regulating, voicing and tuning. The piano sounds and feels as though it has just come from the Yamaha factory. I could not be more pleased. He had to contend with a number of incidentals caused by previous work and did not get up from the bench until he was satisfied that the piano was in exemplary condition. We made a couple trips to Maus and also looked at a competitor store. In the end, we opted for the Kawai at Maus. Maus was very flexible with delivery dates, payment method, and even threw in a small upgrade to a component. The piano was delivered out of the box out of tune (apparently this is unusual), so Maus provided an additional in-home tuning at no cost. Maus has a friendly, family business feel to it. It's not a dazzling showroom, but the product and people are a great reason to go there.

My quote is for a move that is literally less than a mile from Point A to Point B and other than steps leading to the threshold, it is a pretty uncomplicated move. At minimum, Frank should either respond with a quote, or inform me that he is not available. At this point, I'm done waiting. Here's your heads up people . . .
