The woman I was emailing with was very friendly, however the owner Joe Borden is extremely unprofessional. Here is the response I received from the owner when I was trying to coordinate a time for them to come evaluate the tree. "You say that you and your husband work from home, but give me definite times that you are available. This tells me two things, you are inflexible on what you want, and not flexible on your time. I don't work with clients like that. Good luck, have a nice life" For context, my husband and I run a design studio remotely from home. So yes, working from home means there are times we may be on conference calls with clients and cannot just get up and walk out whenever someone comes by. I outlined the days and times we would definitely be available (for instance - Thursday in the afternoon after 2pm, etc.) The owner of Britton Tree Services clearly doesn't understand or respect the realities of working from home. It doesn't mean that we are sitting around doing nothing, and that we can be available at any given time of the day. Very disappointed in their response.

Several were dead and needed to be removed; however, many were looking quite "sad" and needed the care of a professional team to bring them back to the wonderful state they are today. As we look our at our property today (looks great!) we realize how important it was to get these majestic trees back from the state of significant neglect to where they are now thriving. We owe all of this to Joe Borden and the fantastic team at Britton Tree Service. My wife and I are fair; but demand a certain level of professionalism from any company or subcontractor that we work with; this was one of the many things than impressed us with Britton. When we contact Britton, Joe Borden (owner?) came out and gave us a complete write up on each tree and what needed to be done to bring them back to full "life" - if they could be. The report was thorough, easy to follow and allowed Joe and us to review the property and each tree and the treatment he recommended. When they started; as with any scheduled work day, the crew is on time; gets right to the task at hand and are very friendly. They also do a great job of cleaning up prior to departing from the day's tasks. We now have several trees (very important ones in terms of their location on the property) that were once in decline that are now thriving. Spring is especially beautiful when all the blue oaks begin to leaf out - they almost glow when the sun sets - truly stunning. If you're looking for tree service for a one time job or continual maintenance you won't find a better company. We were told prior to hiring Britton that they might be on the high end of the cost per hour versus other companies - take it from us they are worth every penny.

Beautiful tree but so so messy. He showed up on time and confirmed what we had already discussed during the meeting for his price quote. He had his men carefully climb the tree since we did not have access for large mechanical equipment to be used in the backyard and they removed all the dead and overgrown branches. He has an amazing chipper that ground up all the limbs and branches and made the job go faster. He found a 12 inch diameter branch that was 80% split through that we had not seen and would have potentially fallen this winter! He had us look at the trimmed tree to confirm it was to our satisfaction, then had his guys do an amazing clean up job. Branches and needles from our roof, the neighboring yards and even debris that had fallen before he started his job. His price was competitive. He is fully licensed and insured and I had done work with his father, Jesus, six years ago that I was also very satisfied with.
