She wouldn't see me in person. She called from the salon late in afternoon. It was very noisy in background and she was speaking FAST. I could only hear something about negativity. I have moderate to severe hearing loss coupled with severe tinnitus. She wouldn't let me say anything as she spoke so fast. I managed to ask her not to put words in my mouth, which she rejected and kept uttering words I could barely hear. I had wanted to originally speak to her about the color of my hair she did a full hilight on. There was no way she would speak to me. When I asked her if she would see me one last time, she said she didn't want to "touch my head" I have never complained about her in 11 years. I've been going to her every 7or 8 weeks consistently. I even wrote the owner of the salon Taryn. Her response back was only that she has the right to choose who she wants to service. I get that. She neglected to address that I couldn't hear/understand WHY?! Very unprofessional in my opinion. Thankfully I have found someone who actually gave my hair some style, nice color and way less expensive. I had no idea my type of hair could be styled in any other way than she had for all those years. My new stylist has 30 years of experience, so maybe that's what made the difference. Once I arrived, Gen (my stylist/owner) and I discussed all the different routes we could go and what would be better for my lifestyle and how regularly I planned to upkeep. It was a long process (highlights, toner, color, cut, blow dry), but she was extremely gracious and kind throughout. I even asked if we could take some length off, which was way more than the trim I originally asked for and she was very accommodating. The end result was amazing - exactly what I wanted and a true testament to her coloring expertise as my hair is now so dimensional and fun! I went in on a Thursday evening at 6pm and was greeted by a nice woman who would be doing my hair. The salon itself was empty, there was only one other person there doing their nails, but it had plenty of room between stations and about 3-4 hair stations and 3-4 nail stations so that's a good sign. I can judge much on the treatment as It was my first one and I really don't have anything to compare it to, but it was an easy process, not too time consuming and the woman working on my hair definitely took her time and gave my hair the attention it needed. I love how my hair came out upon leaving so I will probably be back for another treatment. My only concern with going back for other services is that my Spanish is pretty awful and it seemed that the only Employees there that evening spoke only Spanish.
