Mario and his team, Chris and Alex, did a fabulous job from start to finish, and we couldn't be happier. Mario had excellent design ideas and suggestions and communicated really well. Getting on his schedule for the countertop fabrication took a little bit of time because he is so booked up. It was worth the wait. We had to have a seam in our rather long kitchen countertop, and Mario had to point out to me where it was because it was so invisible. The craftmanship on the fabrication by Chris and Alex was really amazing. Their attention to detail was excellent. And the installation was also perfect. We love it. Also, Quartz is really easy to take care of. Things that stain like curry and cherry juice clean up nicely. For our shower walls in our en suite bathroom, we had a tough decision to make between tile and Quartz slabs. I really like the look of Quartz and loved the idea of having less grout lines. I couldn't be happier with the Quartz. The expense was worth it. We had a fairly tricky installation, as it involved fabricating and installing slab that included a stripe of accent tile, a niche, and a window in the shower. Everything came out absolutely perfectly. It's so beautiful. We would absolutely do this again. I can whole-heartedly recommend Cutting Edge and Mario and his team for your kitchen or bathroom remodel. Everything was great from design, to fabrication, to installation. When they removed the old porch, they uncovered serious structural issues with our home's foundation and support beams. Dave and the team didn't flinch. They pulled out all the stops to address the problems quickly and thoroughly. That part of our house is now the safest and most solid--it's truly impressive how seriously they took the issue and how fast they acted. What really touched us was how they treated our little 800-square-foot home like it was their own. Lyon's just installed the countertops and backsplashes in our new kitchen, and did a great job. We…read moreloved the whole process, but three incidents stand out. First, when we started shopping for slabs in the San Jose and East Bay warehouses, they told us, "When you find what you want, tell the warehouse to hold the slabs for Lyon's Marble and we'll take care of the rest." When we got the bill for the slabs, the price showed a big discount from what the warehouse had told us. Nice! Second, after the cabinets were installed, Fernando came out to measure for the countertops. We discussed how we wanted each overhang and joint to appear, then built a template out of thin wood showing us the exact dimensions. The next day, at their location, he hung the templates on the slabs so we could choose exactly where each natural pattern of the quartzite would appear in the kitchen. Fernando showed us how he would cut the backsplashes to match up seamlessly with the countertop, so that it appeared like the stone was flowing up onto the wall. Finally, during installation, everything fit perfectly. They cut seven holes in the backsplashes for light switches and outlets, and everything lined up. And just as promised, the patterns in the stone flowed from the countertop up the backsplash. We are thrilled with the work they did, and happy to recommend this local family business.
