In that email, they had old covid protocols from 2020. They really need to update their "welcome" information for parents. - The class is for ages 5-12 and they keep the kids together. The problem with this is that 5 year olds do not have the attention span or understanding as the older kids. To have them all together and essentially "punish" the older kids to hold a "stretch" position until the younger kids are able to catch up is not right. They need to split kids up by age groups and create a more positive learning experience. - Coach Sam is not someone who exhibits a positive cheer attitude. Both my child and my friend's child came back home talking about how mean she was. These camps are intended to be fun, she did not make it fun or treat the kids with respect. In the time when I was there, I also observed her lack of kindness. - Sign in and sign out process is a joke, they do not even check when you pick up your children. This is not safe, they should check when each child is picked up by an appropriate guardian especially if it's a camp setup like this. - Several children were new to cheer/tumlbing and needed help with the basics such as how to do a cartwheel, the "teachers" did not provide any help. They just told the kids to keep trying and to not interrupt them when they are working with other kids. How is a child supposed get help? The overall lack of actual teaching was really disappointing.

Behind every crowd pleasing basket toss or tumbling pass, is a Cheer SF'er who is deeply passionate about helping out the community. I absolutely loved being tossed in the air, learning new pom routines from Morgan and Sanford and learning how to become fierce. As far as performances, GO SEE CHEER SF! As some of the other reviews say this place is run by mostly younger folks. I did see several teens working. Once you complete the 45 min trial class someone will give you a quick test to see what skills you posses and then let you know what skill level class you should take. There was something about this place that didn't feel right to me. It feels like a money grab. Now after having gone once I am hearing this from a lot of people who have had the same experience. They have a closed room designed especially for little ones where parents can go in with them, which makes it very comfortable for young children who are just starting out. There's also a viewing room upstairs and another viewing area downstairs, so parents can easily watch their kids during practice. One wonderful thing about this center is that the little ones get to explore the big gymnastics area with real equipment and see real gymnasts practicing. They can touch, feel, play some of the equipments (with their parents ofcourse) It's so inspiring for them! The younger kids, together with their parents, can observe and learn from the older kids. One moment that really amazed me was when I was downstairs watching my kids and saw little girls doing kettlebell exercises. I was like, "Is this for real? Wow!" They're not just playing -- they are actually working out and building physical strength from a young age. I also love how they rotate leadership among the kids during group activities. You can see the little girls taking turns leading their group, which helps build confidence and teamwork. Using a real gymnastics facility with real equipment, and allowing younger kids to see older kids train, is incredibly motivating. It creates such a positive and inspiring environment. My children absolutely love going to this center. It feels like both a workout space for children and a place where they learn discipline and confidence at the same time.
