Hubby needed a root canal. Boo. Well, his crown popped off, and our dentist (love you Dr. Brothers! The crown was put on by another dentist and that's part of the reason why we no longer go there) referred him across the parking lot to Dr. Krupp's office. They were able to get him in that afternoon, and do a partial root canal so he wouldn't be in pain over the weekend (did I mention it was a Friday?). He went back in the next week for them to finish up. Then when the swelling went down, he had the crown properly put back on. All in all, hubby was relatively pain free the entire time. The office staff were kind, professional, and excellent at setting expectations. I wish I could remember his oral surgeon. She was amazing. There's many involved steps and you guys made it really quite easy and so much easier compared to going across the street to Follmar oral surgery to have a tooth removed. I just went back to see Dr. Krupp for the second time. My dentist sounded the alarm and referred me to their endodontist. I knew Dr. Krep was amazing from when he worked on me a few years ago and I really wanted to get in there. He's more popular now so there was a long wait. I definitely begged up front and they were definitely sensitive and cool and made room for me to come in. There was a terrible infection in there that had already destroyed bone. It would not have been OK to leave it. His new imaging technology made me feel like I was at NASA and I'm a retired engineer. I was in the next day for my root canal. The procedure was milder than a filling. There's a long cleaning step and I almost fell asleep. I actually had the same assistant as I did last time. The assistants in the world of endodontists are incredible. They work in lockstep with the doctor and within inches of each other for hours a day for their entire career. It really is amazing to watch these people work together. On another important note, I finally understand the music. We want the doctor relaxed and focused on our root canal, not some catchy pop tune. I have every reason and believe the other endodontist was excellent. My dentist is fantastic and she has seen their work. I just really wanted to be back with Dr. Krupp. In 3 months I go for my cleaning and I'm sure it will be a huge thumbs up. I would give this office 0 star if I could. I was referred to the office by my general dentist for root canal of the front tooth. I went there base on presumed trust, they asked me to prepaid everything which I did, thinking anything extra would be settled after insurance payment. However, when I checked the insurance bill, I was supposed to pay only $330 as insurance covered 80 percent. They charged me $700 instead. So I called the office, and was told they were charging me $365 for " new technology" that insurance doesn't have a code! I was shocked, this was NOT informed to me before the treatment, nor did they offer any options! It's just a root canal, who the heck need a "special technology ' that insurance doesn't even have a code for! This is completely fraud, no transparency and yeah of course no one will return to their office again! I was referred to Dr Krupp by a friend and I am so glad I chose him and Dr Vicky for my endodonist. I had a calcified tooth in needing of a root canal and after trying hard to get it fixed I needed to have it surgically done. Both Dr Krupp and Dr Vicky were upfront on how they would proceed and explained everything step by step. I was referred to Dr. Krupp by my dentist for a root canal. As my dentist was taking in to consideration which insurance I had, I told him "send me to the person that you would want to do the work on you or your family". Without hesitation he immediately referred me to Dr. Krupp. I had broken a couple of teeth after biting on something very hard in my food at a restaurant. From the moment I walked in to Dr. Krupp's office, I was impressed by his staff & ambiance; the efficiency and flow of everything going on. Then I was greeted by his assistant and had x-days and even the equivalent of a 3-D MRI done of the affected teeth. I was so comfortable that by the time Dr. Krupp entered the room and began discussing my complex situation with me, it was like the icing on the cake (a bad metaphor for a dental office, I know). He is so personable, kind, polite and easy going that I had 10"% confidence in him from the beginning. After making a second appointment and coming back to have a root canal done, it was the best experience I have ever had at an endodontist. The second appointment was equally as calm and he was amazing! The kind of person that you know lives and takes pride in his work, and has obviously hired people to meet the same high expectations. I would recommend him to anybody that needs this kind of work done. I've had more than my share of dental work and I now know why my dentist referred me to him without a second of hesitation. The BEST decision I made was going here for my care. I needed to have a root canal after a back molar cracked and was in poor shape. I was incredibly nervous due to a prior emergency repair from another Endodontist who did a root canal on a tooth my dentist "fixed" but was still causing terrible pain. This previous experience left me absolutely terrified. I reached out to friends & family as well as using the Nextdoor App and Dr. Krupp's name came up repeatedly. I called, made an appointment for a consultation and could not have been more pleased. The front office staff was incredibly helpful & friendly listening to me babble on in my nervousness while Dr. Krupp was honest about what my treatment would be and gave me his assurance he would take great care with me so I wouldn't have any discomfort. Dr. Krupp will be my go-to for all my emergencies my dentist can't fix, as well as my family. I can't not express my relief & joy accurately enough with how seamless everything was. Great dental office everyone was sweet and so helpful. Seen me the same day for a consult as I was in so much pain, I needed a root canal. They gave me my meds and schedule my procedure a couple days later. Day of procedure was nervous ,but this couldn't have gone any better they make you feel comfortably and I am telling you no pain at all during the whole thing. Please note that I am giving this Dr. two stars for the acceptable work he did on my son with is root canal. They lose three stars for what can only be called financial chicanery. They called me in advance to get my SSN and determine coverage and then asked us to prepay the entire amount. Fine. Then once the billing came back from the insurance, they asked for another 850.00 and said the insurance "downgraded" their codes. Not true as far as my insurance company states. In fact the only reason I am being charged double is because we are "out of network" with them. So--never in my entire life has a health or medical provider not given me the heads up about being out of network as it always means you pay more. Dr. Krupp's billing staff KNEW that we were not in network and by their own admission said absolutely nothing. We found them through a referral by our dentist but that is not her fault. They dropped 10% off at first but after I talked to our insurance they dropped another 20%. They don't care, what we pay means nothing to them. They have very poor transparency with their patients and it could cost you hundreds, if not thousands, so if you choose them make sure to ask. They are negligent if not unethical. read more

I just called as a potential new patient and talked to Rene. I wanted to make sure that they accept my insurance and find out my out of pocket cost before setting up an appointment. I asked Rene if they can check my benefits and she said " No, we see too many patients, and I don't have the time". Only when you are in the office they'd check the benefits which at that point it may be too late. I have a recent XRAY done (about a week old), and asked if I have my XRAY, do I have to have another one done, and she said " You know, we don't work like that. Maybe you'd better go somewhere else"!! So, I didn't get to see the doctor, but the staff/Rene clearly can't be bothered to help patients and in fact she told me to go somewhere else because apparently she is too busy. After nine months of experiencing cold/hot sensitivity, pain when chewing, I (finally!) asked my primary dentist for a referral for an experienced endodontist. From everything I had researched, I learned that a root canal should be treated by an endodontist, rather than a dentist, as they are far more experienced, and there is less need for retreatment in the future. Making the initial appointment was very easy, and the support staff were very helpful, and very kind-thank you Renee and Amit, who also assists. Dr. Krupp looked at the X-ray, and he noticed right away that yes, lower left molar #19 needed a root canal, and that there was a suspicious area in the root of the molar behind it, #18. He also performed the tap test to show that 19 was the current painful tooth. The lovely assistant Gabriella gave me instructions for the antibiotics needed for the surgery, along with Valium for the day of the procedure, Percocet for post procedure if needed (I only needed ibuprofen). The procedure itself was painless, and I have had more discomfort with crown/filling placements. The Valium definitely helped with nerves, and I was not as anxious. Gabriella and Dr Krupp worked as a good team, and all went smoothly. By good luck, the crown came off on its own, and Dr Krupp did not need to drill through it during the procedure. My primary dentist was able to place it back on the same day. Unfortunately, the cold/hot sensitivity had not gone away, the pain when chewing still there...Dr Krupp was right about the suspicious area: now we needed to schedule the root canal for #18. Dr Krupp wanted the area around #19 to heal first, so we scheduled this several weeks later. He showed that the treated tooth was not sensitive to cold any longer, and it was obvious the lower left back molar was very painful. Edgar assisted, very helpful, and gave the instructions. Dr Krupp answered all of our questions (my husband is an engineer and had many), and demonstrated his more than 30 years of experience as an endodontist. The second procedure was just as painless, and less Valium needed : ). By the next day, I could tell that there was no more hot/and especially cold sensitivity. There was a little soreness, which went away after a couple of days. To be pain free is an incredible feeling! I have an appointment next week with my dentist to fix the crown. Thank you to Dr Krupp and to the entire support staff. If you are putting off having a root canal, please reconsider, and know that Dr Krupp's experience will get you through this. read more

There is no better place to go when you HAVE to get root canals. Dr Krupp and his staff are quite simply the best of the best. 1)You are warmly welcomed. Never left to sit waiting in the waiting area for more than 5 min. 2) Dr Krupp is extremely efficient and will not do more work than necessary (which is more than I can say for the dentist that did too many crowns in my mouth which lead me to Dr Krupp in the first place). 3) Dr Krupp and staff do everything to keep you comfortable for an unpleasant procedure - Pillows, blankets, music.. etc. You can also get some medicine to calm your nerves (Just make sure you have a driver). 4) Quick but thorough w/ the procedure ! 5) Follow thru the next day... They don't forget about you. I've seen Dr Krupp and staff for 2 1/2 weeks now for 4 root canals and I can tell you, I no longer fear the dentist after this experience. Dr. Krupp is a star!! His office personnel are just as amazing. I have never been a fan of dental work, and I've been to a lot of Dentists during the course of my life. From the moments I walked into their office, even for my initial consultation, I was treated with the utmost respect and kindness. I had my procedure done yesterday, (root canal on one of my back upper molars) and the procedure went as perfect as can be. Ashley who was the assistant, was outstanding. She was patient, understanding and made sure at every moment I was comfortable. My mouth is not even sore today. I am just "amazed". I recommend Dr. Krupp and his excellent staff to anybody and everybody that needs dental work. I will never go to another office for this type of dental work if and when needed in the future. After being examined by an Endodontist and hearing that my upper right tooth needed an extraction, I sought out a second opinion by Dr. Krupp. Luckily, they were able to squeeze me in last minute before I scheduled my extraction date. Walking inside the office, I was greeted by sweet Reneé and a very professional young man named Amit. They greeted me warmly and handed me paperwork to fill out. After finishing the paperwork, there was no wait time, and I was sat down immediately. The wonderful young assistant, Gabriella, assisted Dr. Krupp. She asked me thorough questions regarding my tooth and other relevant questions, and then they proceeded to take an X-Ray and CT Scan. During my evaluation so far, I noticed how enjoyable it was talking with the whole staff. I felt very comfortable. After all of the X-Rays were completed, Dr. Krupp walks in the room and discusses my situation with me. He confirmed I needed an extraction, but he was excellent in communicating with me and telling me exactly why I needed one. I appreciated how honest he was and how enjoyable it was chatting with him. I could tell he's a very talented doctor! Another quality I loved about this office was that they sent the X-Ray and CT scan to my general dentist along with a report without me having to ask or even knowing about it! I was so grateful they went out of their way to send that information over for me. Although no root canal was needed for me here, it was a joy getting to know each and every one of the staff, as well as Dr. Krupp. If ever I need a root canal in the future, this is the office for me! read more

I am happy to share, I was blown away by Dr. Krupp and his team (Edgar did the assist-super awesome human and knew what he was doing); Tony in the office-thanks you for all your help getting what I needed, and to Dr.Krupp, thank you for your excellent work, knowledge, detailed plan of care, kindness, encouragement, calming voice, and No Pain before or during the procedure (you had to do a ton of work, so truthfully, it hurts now,lol, but you provided me a medication plan to help with that. During the procedure everything was explained at first, then I literally relaxed, and I got to listen to my music the whole time. The before and after X-rays were impressive. I had a deep, complicated case, and Dr. Krupp and his team handled it with expertise. 10/10 recommend Dr. Krupp and his team. My daughter was referred to Dr. Krupp by her dentist, because her bottom, front teeth showed some shading or dark spots. My daughter called me after her appointment to explain Dr. Krupps' diagnosis. She said that he told her that she had PCD, which he had seen in some black women before. He then began to flippantly use the term, "Black Chick." I was shocked that Dr. Krupp would use such degrading and stereotypical language with a patient. I also feel this was very unprofessional behavior. I decided to call him to let him know that his conduct was extremely offensive. When I called his office to receive further information about PCD, the receptionist told me that he didn't usually take calls. I understood his comment, as I know that dentists have busy schedules, but explained that this was important. When Dr. Krupp said "hello," his tone was already one of great annoyance. I immediately told him that I appreciated him taking the call, and I wouldn't keep him long. I told him that I would google the diagnosis he gave my daughter, but asked if he could briefly explain what PCD was. His response was very crass. He said, "Well, yes. You CAN google it, but basically I see it in black women, and then he quickly rambled out a one sentence explanation of PCD. I didn't ask for anymore information on this condition, because I could sense his irritation. However, I told Dr. Krupp that I also wanted to let him know that when he used the term, "black chicks" it was very offensive. His response was, "Well yes! Young girls!" and before I could extend his education, and let him know that women, no matter what color or age, do not like to be referred to as "CHICKS," he stated that he didn't have to deal with this, and told me this was his office, and said that my daughter should be glad that she didn't need a root canal. I asked him if he felt he could speak to young ladies in this way, because he is a dentist and this was HIS office. Then, he HUNG UP IN MY FACE! I had a consultation appointment at this office (August 2012). Before the service has been provided they contacted my insurance per my request and assured me that consultation fee will be covered in full by my Delta Dental insurance . 8 months later I have received a bill for $125 for this particular appointment . If I have known that I have to pay the entire amount out of my pocket I would never used this office for any kind of service since the equipment is old, and all medical advices they gave were unacceptable and at some point wrong. So their prime target is a rip off instead of providing decent medical service to keep your teeth healthy. read more

Dr. Krupp worked on my root canals in one of the teeth that was already poorly done many years ago in Russia... needless to say the work was very extensive. He had to open up an old tooth that was infected and we hoped that the tooth could be saved. He was able to treat it well, eliminate infection, re-do the root canals, and the tooth was saved!
