These dentists out here won't tell you the truth but I will. PULL THE TRUTH and let your body heal. 2 surgeries down, $1800 later, and I'm stuck living with the same pain I initially came in with, and the endodontist tells me maybe you should look into seeing a neurologist there are drugs like gabapentin, because there is nothing more he could do? We go through life thinking our doctors know best because they are educated and were ppl trying to keep our teeth in good health. But they are just humans who are limited by what they have been told. A ROOT CANAL is a not a little thing, read up on it and make sure you've exhausted all options before letting this doctor "up sell" you on getting another root canal on a tooth you didn't come in for. It happened to me and I want you all to make the same mistake because this procedure is permanent. I did it and I regret it immediately, I was just in so much pain I couldn't think straight, and the dentist took advantage of that to make a sale idk. The Good - clean office - friendly staff - non invasive techniques - friendly doctor with good bedside manners. And in my opinion works very well with patients with dental anxiety. The BAD -The technique he uses to retreat a root canal COMPLETELY DESTROYS YOUR CROWN. They don't tell you this until your in the chair. So unlike other techniques where they take off the crown do work and then put back on, saving you thousands. This place pokes holes in the crown, then puts a temporary seal. So you'll have to go back to your dentist in 2 weeks AND PAY to get a whole other crown. - The office does followups too early, while you are still on pain meds and can't get proper help if problems prosist. - It's hard to get a hold of a live person. They have an appointment called center all calls are filtered through. So you have to leave tons of messages before anyone calls back. - The dentist uses his charm to dismiss your concerns and make sure he is free from getting sued. Instead of having resources available for his patients in the case the procedure is not successful. -They don't give antibiotics after your procedure, Instead just recommend you take a lot of ibuprofen. read more

Dr. Do is a very informative and very thorough doctor which I very much appreciated. He explained why things need to be done and how they will be done. I am nervous at the dentist, and without letting that be known here, him and his team were still able to put me at ease for my root canal. I very much appreciated how he explained what was going on throughout the procedure, as well as how helpful the assistants were during it. I highly recommend this place, especially if you're on the more nervous side like myself. It was a good experience. Its almost too bad hes a specialist and not a general doctor, as I would enjoy seeing him routinely also. I felt nothing during the procedure, and I'm very thankful I got it done here. read more

Their communication wasn't precise. Prior to the appointment, they said if I had the 3D xray done, I said "yes." I thought they would call my other dentist regarding this xray. There was no other communication about it. If they told me to "bring" a copy of the 3D xray then I would have brought it in. They said, If I brought a copy of this 3D xray, then I didn't have to pay extra! Unfortunately, I had to pay extra for this service. I see, why this was not communicated to me. Also, when I asked the lady at the front, how long is the xray window before they can accept it, the lady said within a year. Then I said, "my recent one was last Dec 2023." The. She goes, "oh no, I think it has to be within 6 months." I felt scammed. No consideration with the inconvenience. The dentist and then the dentist assistant were great! Their front desk, didn't show any respect and consideration with this situation. I was so closed to turn around and reschedule this. But due to busy work, I decided to pay the extra $60, despite she said the 3D xray has to be "within 6 month,s" after the fact she just said within a year. read more

I was very pleased with the staff at Bay Area Endodonics. They are extremely honest and I felt they did a wonderful job diagnosing my root canal issue. The doctor was very professional. Dr Tandon was obviously an expert in her field, and my comfort was their main concern. I also liked Dr. Michaelian during the diagnosis. He was friendly and explained everything to me. The office staff was wonderful and they do take in network insurance (many do not). Although one of my teeth was cracked all the way to to the root, she was able to save the other. What a difference I immediately felt after the root canal as all pain had dissipated and my health in general approved. One of the things that Dr Tandon pointed out was that the cracked tooth was possibly causing an issue with my sinuses. It definitely was because once I had the tooth removed it was like a whole new breathing world had opened up for me. I will DEFINATELY use their services again, should I need it. I'll first say that I've had some truly terrible dental experiences over the years and am generally nervous with any dental procedure. So you can imagine that I wasn't very excited to have a root canal on a Monday morning. That said, Dr Cory and the staff were warm, caring and it was one of my best dental experiences ever. They welcomed me in and explained every part of the procedure. There was only some minimal discomfort with the initial numbing, but zero discomfort after that. They also made sure to let me know what my after care should be and what to expect. They also communicated my payment portion before the procedure clearly as well. Dr Kory Golchert is not only rude and condescending, but will have zero respect for your time. I had an appointment at 1pm. For whatever reason, my appointment time was double-booked with another patient. I arrived before she did, but she was inexplicably taken in first. Over forty minutes (!) later, Dr Kory sashays into my room as if it's no big deal that I've been waiting almost an hour and like I shouldn't be upset. He claims that the other person had "an emergency" so he had to see her first; I was in the room directly across from that person, with the doors open (no patient confidentiality in this place) and I saw/heard their entire exchange. She had a toothache. Not at all an emergency nor a valid reason to waste so much of my time. I took time away from work to be there. This resulted in almost an hour extra that I had to be away from work and for no valid reason. I will not be returning here for anything and would obviously never recommend them to anyone. read more

I found Dr. Kory Golchert on my insurance portal for a root canal treatment. I was very doubtful to go and see the doctor, as I never got any major treatments done on my teeth. It was a pleasant surprise for me right from the moment I entered their door. The receptionist was very welcoming and calm. Dr. Golchert's assistant (I forgot her name) was super professional and totally understanding. Dr. Golchert evaluated my tooth and explained me what needs to be done and how long it might take and got down into the treatment. I felt really anxious as I was not able to swallow and feeling very scared through the treatment. But Dr. Golchert and his assistant maintained total calmness and allowed me to get out of the chair to relax myself multiple times. The assistant was constantly assuring me and calming me down through out. Amid all that drama I was creating with my unnecessary anxiety, Dr. Golchert silently and quickly performed the job. Just with the way he gave the anesthesia, I could say that he is a fantastic doctor. There was never any impatience on his face. The cost structure is also very clear to me and it was explained by the front desk. They were able to answer all my questions patiently. I was referred to see a specialist for my root canal and my first visit was a consultation + cone beam CT (a really cool 3D of your tooth/mouth). We look like dinosaur fossils. This was necessary since my general dentist couldn't quite get to the top of the root, he recommended seeing a specialist. So I had 3 set of eyes, and I finally decided to get this thing done with Bay Area Endodontics. My consultation was set up with Dr. Tandon and I really really really like her. At first she was like so what's your end game, b/c I saw so many dentist and I was like I want to get this root canal done with ya'll, final answer. She's so positive, thorough, and knowledgeable. Gave me good options, walk me through what she was going to do, etc. I think the receptionist was Wendy?? Well, all of them are so pleasant, professional, and helpful. The cost breakdown is so thorough and I appreciate this from the front desk so much. Honesty! Dental assistants: Nancy (first visit), Mona (second visit). So sweet and attentive. They are like clockwork, they know what's coming up next. SO good! The overall team I saw and spoke with has a pretty special dynamic and I felt comfortable and nervous at the same time. But it wasn't my first rodeo so I expected some uneasiness. My only feedback would be I hope they do a nice Lysol wipe of the big equipment, door handles, seats, things of those nature. Because while working on a patient it's inevitable to touch these things. They do change gloves in between which is comforting to know. But that Lysol wipe down in between patients is a NICE overkill during Covid or not. The only way I would know this is that I bear witness, but that's ridiculous. Saw Dr. Corey. I explained when he first met me, I had a lot of anxiety and do not do well with getting numbing medications. I told him he would need to go slow and gentle. I knew from past experiences that the epinephrine makes my heart race and I have uncontrollable shakiness. He proceeded to numb me and it was the most painful experience, fearful and traumatic. I was in tears under those glasses. I finally insisted and told him I needed 5 minutes to relax and let the numbing medication get to work. He came back and proceeded to drill into my crown and clean out the infection in my tooth. He explained what treatment he performed and gave me the treatment options for my tooth. I shouldn't have been so uncomfortable, his bedside manner wasn't great Definitely not going back to see him due to my experience with Dr. Corey. read more

Don't come here, as part of the evaluation, they said it doesn't seem like I needed the root canal at the time but if in a few months it seems that I need one then I can come back and I would only have to pay the difference. Btw, the cost for the root canal with my insurance cost $794 and they charged me $262 for the 15 min evaluation, and was explained that I would only have to pay $532 if I came back for the root canal. But when I called and want to get the root canal done they said there are no such things and that they would charge me the full cost again. Such a rip off, but since the dentist explained this to me verbally, I have no proof. Just be aware about this business and don't trust anyone's words! Get everything on paper. read more

Dr. Michaelian was such a godsend for me. I needed a root canal on a tooth that couldn't be numbed, at least by conventional methods, and Bay Area Endodontics offered IV sedation, which I what I wanted. I am not kidding, it felt like I had just closed my eyes, when I felt them taking the "stuff" out of my mouth and raising the chair. No pain (not even sensation) and no memory of the procedure itself. I went back to my dentist for the crown, the the tooth has been perfect ever since. Dr. Michaelian did a splendid job on the root canal, and made me comfortable doing it. IV sedation IS expensive, but if you have a tooth that can't be numbed, or are just to anxiety ridden about getting a root canal, see Dr. Michaelian at Bay Area Endodontics. read more

I was referred to Dr. Michaelian for a root canal and have no complaints about the work done today once I found the office. There are numerous buildings in the complex and none of the buildings have numbers on the outsides of them. (There was another patient wandering aimlessly trying to find where she was supposed to be too). My dental insurance isn't the best so there was a large out of pocket balance for me. I was put off by the gauche manner that the payment was discussed. After giving my credit card info to the gal she said she needed a second credit card. When I asked why she said they needed it in case the first one I gave her was not good. Also wanted my SS# in case they had to take me to collections. Just really tacky !! read more
