Silk Dental has an ad on TikTok talking about a special. Black dentist was advertised. He does charity dental, too. Helping the community. I said I would like too give him my business, because of what he is doing in the community. I called and spoke with 2 young ladies. One of them told me I could get my teeth deep cleaned there for $100.00 dollars. The conversation was recorded on their end. When they told me how much they were going too charge me I was like well where is the Black Dentist. They said today he does not work in there office but he would do the special at their location Silk Dental. /4/20/26. One of the ladies got made and told me too leave after I notice she came back mean looking. She went too go and get her husband. He popped they the door while my back was facing it and jumped in my face and said she said too F N too leave. I did not know her husband was security there, smh. Well he did not have on the uniform. I felt hurt about the whole situation so, I called the police myself. The officer that was called for them told me to get off the phone. Horrible experience. *DO NOT GO HERE* If you are looking to start Invisalign treatment, I strongly recommend choosing another dentist office. The entire process from the very beginning has been stressful and frustrating -- exactly the opposite of what it should be when you're paying thousands of dollars for a treatment. Although Dr. Chang is an excellent dentist (and the main reason I chose this office), the front desk staff has been consistently unprofessional and unhelpful. After reading other reviews, I now see I'm not the only one who has experienced the same poor treatment, especially regarding appointment scheduling. Each month I call to schedule my next appointment to pick up new trays, and every month there's an issue. For example, in May the office was only open for one week the entire month. I explained that I was in my final semester of school and couldn't make that week work due to finals. I was told, essentially, that I was "out of luck" and needed to make it work. I booked an appointment for the 20th, but when my final exam ran late, I called to see if I could move the appointment just 15 minutes later (especially since I live over 35 minutes away and the appointment is literally an in-and-out pickup -- I walk in, grab my trays, and leave)... I was told they could not accommodate a 15-minute shift and that because I had supposedly "rescheduled two other times," I would be charged a $95 no-show fee if I didn't show up. This claim was completely untrue. They then gave me the option to pick up my trays at another location closer to Uptown Dallas. Kailey told me to send over $250 payment towards my account and then I could be scheduled over there without $95 cancellation being added (I have attached the text threads). Flash forward to August 8, I requested documentation of my payment plan and the payments I have made and saw that there was a $95 cancelled appointment charge of 5/20/25. I called the front office and talked to Kailey and explained "hey this has already been discussed what is this charge". She told me the charge will stay there for me cancelling the appointment 5/20 although text messages from the office state "I will not be charging you $95." The main issue seems to be Kailey at the front desk, who also handles payments. She has been antagonistic, unwilling to listen, and even hung up on me during a call when I tried to explain the unfairness of the situation. Hanging up on a patient simply because you don't want to deal with their concerns is not acceptable. As of today (August 11), my trays have now been lost entirely. When I arrived for my most recent appointment, I was told they would have to reorder my entire set because mine could not be located. No timeline for when I'll receive them has been provided. This experience has been exhausting, disappointing, and completely avoidable had there been competent, respectful, and organized front desk management. Dr. Chang may be great, but the way this office is run makes continuing here impossible for me. If you take anything from this review: save yourself the stress, time, and money -- go somewhere else for your Invisalign treatment. read more

I agree with the other reviewers: Kaylee is the worst and makes every interaction a complete miserable experience! She loves the power she has in this stupid dentist office with her control of communication and her weapon of the cancellation fee. She is a miserable human being. Avoid this office at all costs! I've never experienced such awful customer service. I was sent to collections incorrectly for a $50 bill which I had already paid for! I've called them more than 10 times to get this taken care of but no one can ever resolved the issue. I will never return here and would encourage you to really consider before visiting. I could write an essay on this office, the service and office manager. I've been to different dentist over my 60 years and this has been the worst experience I've had with a dentist ever. I had debated going back after my first bad experience with a crown, but decided I would give them a second try. Even that second try turned into a nightmare. Again, a crown situation. If you're going for a cleaning, no problem. If you need a crown, please don't go. After giving them several tries, I scheduled yet again for a cleaning thinking how bad could it be this time. I had a family emergency and had to leave Dallas to go to Florida because the family member was in medical ICU. I called to reschedule my appointment and after rescheduling, I got notification that I didn't reschedule 72 hours in advance so I was going to be charged $95. I called almost 48 hours in advance to reschedule, not cancel. Their policy says that if you don't cancel within 48 hours, there may be a charge. Again, I didn't cancel. I called to reschedule due to a family emergency. After I got the text saying I was going to be charged, I called the office back to explain the situation AND cancel the actual appointment this time. No one bothered to call me back To rectify the situation. read more

Silk Dental is the best dentist office I've ever visited! The staff is so caring, friendly and welcoming. They truly listen to your concerns and take the steps to make sure you feel comfortable. I have really bad dental anxiety but the staff always ensures that I am ok during my appointments. I appreciate their care and their work very much. I have been going to Silk Dental for about year now after relocating to Dallas, by far this office has exceeded my expectations; from their patient care team connecting and confirming upcoming dental appointments to Dr. Chang's professionalism as a prosthodontist. The office staff walks you through your entire visit of what to expect on your dental procedure to checking out. Upon check out, I was educated on insurance coverage and the patient portion of the procedure. This is a large differentiator than most practices as many folks are unaware of their out-of-pocket cost, when receiving my bill from their billing department all was accurate. With Dr. Chang not only being a general dentist but also prosthodontist he was able to catch and prevent future cavities that had the ability to develop. With there being numerous dentists in the DFW area I highly recommend Dr. Chang and Silk Dental to take care of your dental needs. read more

I am someone deathly afraid of the dentist since I haven't had insurance in 8 years. I finally got insurance and was referred by a friend to come here. Christina, the specialist of 25+ years, Dr. Chang, and the entire team made sure to put bed side manner first and walked me through what would happen without instilling fear or anything else. There was virtually no pain and they made sure my comfort was of absolute importance. There was no shaming of the patient, which is honestly rare if you know you have problem areas, but haven't been able to afford treatment prior, which honestly is a great ease on my social anxiety. I truly appreciate the time Dr. Chang spent with me in regard to my condition. He was brutally honest, which I can see where some people may not like but I would rather a doctor be "straight up" instead of beating around the bush. He made his recommendations and told me that it is my choice to move forward or not...no pressure at all. This made me feel great because most of the "chain" offices are always pressure driven.
