This was my third time going to a headspa and I have only tried the ones in OC. When I came to this location, the interior looked nice and clean. I checked in and they walked me into a room with a body massage machine. I got a cell vitality scalp care massage. The first thing the masseuse did was check my scalp and she said it was dry and I had dandruff. Then she had me lay down on the massage machine and she turned it on. The machine was massaging my back the entire time. The masseuse was massaging my shoulders and that felt good but a little short. Then she moved on to massaging my head, lathered it and washed it. She put treatment on my head and wrapped it around for a few minutes. After she rinsed it off and we went to dry my hair. The last part was using these tools from a machine to help hair growth. They seemed like laser tools. Overall, I liked the shoulder and head massage. I didn't really care for the massage machine massaging my back because some parts actually hurt. A co worker recommended this place to me. I decided to give this a try because my head was hurting for days from stress and too much tension. I made an appointment and got there a bit early. They took me right away. The place was clean and made me feel comfortable right away. The private room was fancy. I got a robe to cover myself and relax. The session started with a scalp exam and you could see the condition of it on your screen. To be honest, I couldn't see the difference with before and after LOL. Anyway, the head massage felt SO good. The scalp and hair treatment felt nice. I wish there was more neck and shoulder massage though. Towards the end, the staff dried my hair and applied more treatment which I appreciated since I have dry hair. Overall, I enjoyed the experience. Loved my 90 minute, Cell Vitality Scalp care, with Xia. She not only washes your and scalp with care, she gives a lovely hard massage in your neck, upper back and shoulder. She didn't speak English, but I felt like she took care of me like a daughter. I've been here a couple times, but she is my favorite. Everyone generally has been great. You get a room to yourself and they put on a star/moon light on the ceiling in a low lit room. They give you sandals and have you change your top with a wrap to prevent you getting your top wet. They show you your hair and scalp, which I always don't wash my hair for a couple days before I come in. Then you lay in massage bed and they proceed with the hair washes, steam, acupressure massages for scalp & upper body. You end with your being dried with some different instruments to have healthier hair. Then you walk out with smooth silky hair with a comb or brush and complimentary drink. Great place for a wonderful pamper! Parking easier in the back. They have one curtain room, not a fan, but I think it is meant for couples. read more

Came to try Silk Pro Head Spa after finding it on Yelp. After reading their reviews, I texted the phone number like someone wrote about, but there was no reply. I ended up calling the day before and they had appointments available for 2 people for Cell Vitality Scalp treatments. My sister and I parked in the back parking lot (it's free) and walked in through the back door. There's a small waiting area with free chips and candies. We were lead into separate rooms - for some reason I shared a double room with a stranger instead of my sister? And I got changed into the little towel top thing + slippers. They lady that helped me was Judy. She seemed really nice/friendly but didn't say much about my scalp analysis other than that my hair was oily. I feel like other places will go more in depth with the analysis but that's fine. The 90 minute included a double shampoo, hair treatment (steam), and massage. They start by massing your chest / neck area and then move to the double shampoo. They only leave the hair treatment in for not super like - it felt like only 5 minutes. And then they do one more scalp analysis to show your squeaky clean scalp and then they move on to a scalp toner, red light therapy, electric hair brush, and drying / styling your hair. I told her my hair was permed so she didn't have to style it and she added some argan oil at the end which was nice. They gave us a comb (just one for both of us) at the end. I'm trying to understand why the treatment was called Cell Vitality because it felt like a run-of-the-mill scalp treatment. Compared to M Head Spa and YangSiGuan, Silk Pro has the best price and also the best massage machines. I feel like YangSiGuan has a few more extra perks to their treatment - which is probably why it's way more expensive, and the ladies there were more friendly. I'd say Silk Pro is very comparable to M Head Spa, but my favorite in the SGV area is still Hair & Scalp Spa in Temple City. read more

I've been here twice. They have an easy online booking system. The price is very affordable and they offer free drinks in the lobby. I've done the hair growth scalp treatment and it's relaxing. They give you a robe and sandals. You get to lay on their zero gravity massage chair and you get a nice chest and upper back massage from the masseuse. I'm knocking off two stars because my hair smelled burnt after the session. The dyson dryer setting was too high and the way she styled my hair made my head look flat. They gave me slippers and a top robe wrap around thing so I began to feel right at home lol. You remove your top so that they can get really in to the neck/shoulder area for massage. Before and after the scalp treatment they show you what's going on with a camera on the screen. Then for the treatment itself they have a nice lie down chair with leg massage. I think I just found my newest guilty pleasure. I discovered Silk Pro Head Spa on Yelp and they were having a soft opening promotion until June 30, 2024 where their services are 50% off. Such a generous deal! I reserved an appointment through their website and it was easy to navigate. I opted for the Cell Vitality Scalp Care ($148 value, promo for $74) which is a 90 minute service. Prior to the appointment, the business called me to confirm. They have 2 entrances, I prefer the back entrance that is connected to a private lot that felt safer for my car than the busy front side that had some street parking available. When I entered the spa I was immediately greeted by Ping. She was so sweet. She welcomed me into the treatment room to change my top into a spa gown, the same one you change into when you get facials so they have access to massaging your shoulders and also so that your clothes don't get wet during treatment. We started the journey with a scalp analysis. My scalp was healthy for the most part with mild oiliness. Based on your diagnosis, they will decide on which product would be best for your scalp health throughout the treatment. Then I went over to lay on this massage bed machine that massaged my back, arms, and legs in parallel with Ping's treatment. Ping started off massaging my shoulders, neck and head with essential oils. She was AMAZING! She just knew all the right spots to work, and she had the perfect pressure. She also encouraged me to let her know if I prefer more or less pressure throughout the treatment. After that was the scalp cleansing, deep cleansing, and head massage. These were different steps but along the way it all felt like an enjoyable massage. The way she would evenly spread the shampoo and apply it in a therapeutic massage hand motion. It was soooo relaxing. I could feel myself nodding on and off from the utter relaxation. Then there was the nano hair mask steaming to deeply moisturize the hair. I could see noticeable improvement after the treatment. I thought we were done with the treatment after that step but Ping helped me up and gave me a quick neck and back massage, before welcoming me to the chair. She applied Moroccan oil and blow dried my hair. Looking good! Not done yet. There was this silk pro machine with different tools where she did a meridian massage. Followed by a serum infusion with their oxygen injection gun, and then a high frequency detox to kill all bacteria, then an ultrasonic induction with color changing properties for different benefits, and lastly we finished off with the head vitality comb. Oh and I just want to add, their attention to detail here is on point. Even the spa slippers were sooooo comfy. I feel like that's what sets apart a service from a true SPA experience like this one. Very upscale and high end quality, while being good value. Swoon!!!!! I'm so hooked on Silk Pro Head Spa. We had a great experience getting the 90 min head spa experience which started with a scalp, neck and shoulder massage, followed by 2 washes, a scalp steam and finally they dry your hair and apply a couple of other treatments which promote hair growth. The entire experience was fantastic and my scalp felt super clean after. The only negative was that after a couple of days my scalp started to feel really itchy with small bumps on my head. My boyfriend who got the same treatment didn't experience anything like this so I may have simply been sensitive to the treatments. I had my first scalp spa experience here because they had a sale going on. The specialist was really nice and did everything to make my experience as pleasant and comfortable as possible even if I didn't fully understand what was being done to me most of the time. As this was my first time, i don't have anywhere else to compare it to so please consider this review more of a general sharing of how I felt. The full body massage bed was super interesting. It was rolling and kneading my back repetitively for 90 minutes, squeezing my arms and legs (there are slots for your arms and legs) while my hair was washed and my scalp scrubbed. The thing about massage beds is that they just do their thing mechanically. They have zero intuition about which parts of your body need more work, and for how long. I decided after this experience that I never want to be in another massage bed. I know many people would find a scalp spa relaxing enough to sleep to but to be honest, it was weird to me and I couldn't relax for a very long time. Maybe it was the novelty of the experience. Or maybe I just don't like having my hair washed for 90 minutes... it felt like it was too much. I've had my hair washed before. Yes, it's a nice experience but this doesn't usually last for more than a few minutes! ( I can fall asleep to 90 minute foot massages though!) I also couldn't really see the difference between the Before and After close-up videos of my scalp. The specialist was lovely, but English was their second language so there wasn't much in the way of explanations and I didn't know what I was supposed to be looking at on the screen. After the long massage-bed-scalp-wash procedure, some odd devices were used on my scalp including one that generated static electricity. The names of these devices were shown to me, written down on a small sheet of paper. Then my hair was quickly blow-dried. At the end of the procedure, my hair certainly felt phenomenally CLEAN and SOFT, and I was glad to be free again out in the sunlight and fresh air. The next day I felt like I was getting sick (sore throat) and I was reminded of that myth about getting sick if you have your hair wet for too long. Well, I did NOT get sick, but to quote a friend, "Maybe the scalp massage released toxins from your system and made you feel like you were getting sick..." Maybe. Then you will sit on a stool for an indepth scalp analysis. It is probably a magnification of 1000x? Anyhow, you'll see you hair follicles, the scalp, and much more. Consider this the "before" picture. Next lay down and relax in the full body massage bed/chair. This is really wonderful as the calf compressions combined with the shiatsu spine massage really will de-stress your muscles. At the same time, the technician will start a facial accupressure massage and cover the hands, arms, shoulder, neck, and face. Then they will progress to a deep clean of your hair and scalp combined with massage. The scalp cleaning progresses through various stages all the while the bed/chair continues to decompress your spine. I did only booked the 60 min package so more services are offered with the 90 min service. After the 60 min, you will get another scalp analysis for the "after" picture. Very clean place and easy to make an appointment. However this was basically a glorified hair wash. I have been to many head spas in the SGV and decided to get their hair restoration treatment because it sounded different than an average experience and cost more. Unfortunately I have to say that it was not worth it as all she did was wash and conditioner my hair plus some massage here and there. I was also very unimpressed by the aggressive head scratching which was way too long and became painful at one point. The water felt really hot and I think it was due to the fact that my scalp was sensitive from all that scratching. The hair drying part was not done completely and my hair was still wet. I also wish they would smooth my hair a bit or at least put a product in the ends so I don't end up leaving with frizzy hair. Lastly I have to say that I hate this type of a massage table. My legs were hanging off the edge the entire time and I was uncomfortable. Nice people and easy parking but there are better options in this area. read more

Fantastic experience! This is my first time trying a deep scalp cleansing spa and I tried their 90 minute service. My technician, Fang Fang, was exceptional. Super friendly, proactively asks me throughout the service on what I like to adjust, and her head/neck/shoulder massage was divine. I walked in with eczema prone flaky scalp and walked out with a refreshed and thoroughly cleansed scalp that would glisten under the sun. She also applied a hair deep conditioner where my hair was silky soft after she blow dried my hair. She also served me tea afterwards and offered snacks as well.
