I've been coming here for years and have tried most of their massage therapists. My go to is Alisa. From all the massages I've had, she's the best. Her technique is so precise like she has an xray vision and can see through my knots and tight tissues. It seems like she can feel my pain and knows exactly where I need work on. I usually tell her to focus on my upper back, she's very thorough. One time I had hip pain and was limping (I pulled something from yoga/ pilates). She worked on it and the pain was gone after. I go to her almost every 2 weeks for a 90-minute deep tissue massage with walking on my back (optional but a must for me). Patty & Grace are also great. Patty goes deep and slow which I love. Grace worked on all my knots thoroughly. I got their 10 pack + 1 free for $1150 cash (seasonal deal), comes out to $105 each 90 min deep tissue (regular price $125). I'm very frugal and used to go to the cheapest asian massage places I can find for $30-$40/hr but they're hit and miss and once I discovered Alisa/ Zentara, I'm not going back to hoping I get a good massage. I suffer from myofascial pain in my neck and shoulders from time to time. When it acts up it's quite severe, doesn't respond to any pain medications and after trying EVERYTHING including balms, pills, and even cupping nothing worked until I had a massage with Grace. I have been here twice for a deep tissue massage and both times I had different people. It's best if you call in advance to see if there is any masseuse available for the time you want to come. Each time you're here, you fill out a form requesting the duration (60 min, 75min, 90min, 120min), massage type (combination of Swedish and Thai, Swedish, Thai, deep tissue, office syndrome, prenatal), pressure (light, medium, firm, deep for extra $5), add on (stretching, walking on your back, hot stone for extra $10, aroma oil for extra $10), and you circle the areas where you want them to focus on. First masseuse encouraged the walking (on my back) and it felt so weird for her to use her knuckles/elbows to roll over the most sensitive area, the back of the knees. I felt like she was rushing while massaging me. The pressure actually felt more like deep than firm. First time, the guy at the counter gave us $10 off each of our massages , which was really nice of him. We went back a second time. I circled medium pressure this time because the firm pressure ended up as deep Pressure during my first massage with Zentara. While she was massaging me, it actually felt like firm pressure than medium pressure. Now I am wondering if the default here is firm or deep pressure, but you let them know if the pressure is too much for you. The masseuse I got this time did a really good job. The only thing I didn't like was when I asked her to focus on the heels, she didn't, but other than that the pressure was good and the stretching felt amazing. My girlfriend, bff, and my bff's boyfriend enjoyed their massages. Bathrooms are always clean and smell nice. We were in the couples room this time. It is basically one large room with two beds. Highly recommended that you tip your masseuses in cash. When I was charged it seemed like taxes were included already since our one hour massages came out to be $175. I paid with my card. When I looked at my receipt after we left, it seemed like he charged $90 for deep tissue and $85 for combination (Thai & Swedish). I am not sure if the guy at the counter charged extra for credit card or that's typically the price. They should've put "prices may vary" on the pricing list. First time I paid in cash and I didn't get a receipt so I don't remember . I guess the actual price is not listed for every type of massage. Overall, I'll keep coming back. They really worked out every knot -- so much that everything hurt for the next three days, and I even felt a bit sick afterward. But once that passed, I felt amazing and so much lighter. The room had two warm massage beds, and we were asked to remove everything except our underwear--unexpected, but it made sense since they use body oil and hot stones on the back. The service was very friendly and accommodating. If you have injuries, I wouldn't recommend this type of massage, as I experienced some neck pain and a headache the next day. They do encourage you to communicate your preferences throughout the session, which I should have done more. The heated massage bed made me feel very warm and comfortable. The massage lasted an hour, and I highly recommend the hot stones--they made a big difference. In the waiting area, they provide tea and water for hydration. It's best to make a reservation in advance, and they do call a few hours prior to confirm. The massage cost $180 total for two people as first-time customers, paid in cash. Expect to tip generously. If you pay with cash you get complimentary hot stones. The facility is clean and massage therapists are professional. Prices are mid-range. My friend gave me a gift certificate a while back, and I used to today. I usually go to another spa, but Zentara has me converted! AMAZING MASSAGE! It was one of the best massages I've ever had. I like VERY STRONG Swedish massages because I have enormous knots in my traps and really tense neck muscles due to two shoulder surgeries which makes my shoulders tense more than they used to because they are protecting themselves. I need to get massages to calm them down, and this one delivered just the right amount of pressure to release the tension. I went for Swedish this time, but I look forward to their Swedish/Thai integration the next time I visit. And double yay that its much closer to me than my other masseuse. THANK YOU Zentara. Wonderful experience with Grace. Never had such a therapeutic and healing massage. They understand the muscles in a way unlike your traditional massages at hotel or spa. Grace was able to eliminate all of my tightness and knots with a deep tissue massage and walking on my back. Disclaimer: if you're sensitive and can't handle discomfort then you won't get as much out of it. A true deep tissue massage involves times where you feel uncomfortable followed by immediate relief.
