What a lovely place! Easy to get to, parking lot was very accessible, elevator not the quickest but it did the job. I did have some confusion about which door to go through but that's my fault by not looking ah the sign. Went to the kids spa instead. Anyways it was a really relaxing experience. I was offered various teas, I went with the ginger and mint tea. It was refreshing. For my service, I received the African Marula - Scrub Foot Bath with the Charcuterie Board and champagne. It was what the doctor prescribed. They kept the bath at a nice temperature and would add additional hot water to your liking. The price is comparable to other spas in the area. The staff here was warm and it was a very relaxing environment. I felt at home. Also, while you're being pampered you'll get a heat weighted shoulder pillow. It added to the comfort. The entire staff if kind, considerate, very accommodating, and emit beautiful energy. They are generous with their comfort. I had the mini winter package, and it was well worth it . From my initial contact to schedule the appt with Betty, she was able to squeeze me in... all smiles. I live about 30-40 mins from this place but worth the drive. Upon arrival, it's in leasing building, so there are a few other businesses but once you walk through the front door, you are greeted by warm faces and wonderful aroma. I waited for about 5 mins before I was greeted by Tia. She introduced herself to me and all that I would receive. I got the winter special and it was perfect. I forgot about the champagne and cheesecake mentioned in the booking, so I was pleasantly surprised. The massage was good but the facial was priceless. This place is truly a hidden gem. This place went to shit real fast. The manager was acting like a cop as she monitored cameras and watched our reactions and every move to her unprofessional employees, we were responding to her very unprofessional staff on the date of my spa appointment for a prenatal massage mind you. She calls my friend who scheduled the appointment on her personal cell to address how her front desk staff was feeling a way but nobody ever addressed her...we just told her that we asked for services in a particular order and the manager was aware. She/the manager goes on to explain that one of her staff members just lost their father and they were somewhat short staffed. Even though she said she'd honor the order in which we asked for. She said that "after she reviewed the transcript" she realized she never said such thing. Whatever that means lol Then I get ready for my massage and I try to break the ice and make small talk by asking where she was from... she sounded Russian or even German and I spent some time in Germany so I'm trying to just break the ice from all of the front desk miscommunication, her response: "I'm sorry are we talking about your massage" mad rude like! So I'm like okay I won't ask you nothing else... here she goes asking me about how much pressure I like, so I commence to tell her, she cuts me off mid sentence "okay thank you" ummm okay, now I'm wrong if I just get up and say never mind right? That's twice she's rude. Then she gives this lopsided massage, while left side getting way more time on it than my right side.When I'm done she said she' ll be back... never comes back. The next employee comes in to start her shift and I beg her to go my facial instead. She agreed but then the manager/owner rolls in there and tells me and my friend that the situation has snowballed, they failed us, and at this point they would rather comp us than to continue services. I'm like okay bye..... you'd rather lose out on $350 per person, a bad review and of course we'd never return or recommend your business to anyone we know. Poor leadership and bad business. As the customer your clients personal issues should never come across to the client and making what was suppose to be a stress free and relaxing day into a stressful and tense day at a spa is the last thing that should be happening. Then the owners lack of conflict resolution and acting like it's the clients word against her employees... I am too through. I recorded the conversation myself but Google only asks for photos. My best friend went to get services and I was so heart broken as I listened to the conversation her and the owner had while I was on the phone. The whole time I thought the owner was really listening to her needs and feelings but the whole time she was just figuring out how to tel my friend since she didn't like the services from the lady they appointed to do her services she can leave and end the services. What??? I told my friend the fact that you told her you weren't comfortable and they basically told you well we longer want to do services for you, I was shocked , you can chose who you give services too, but you can't make me allow someone to touch my body that I'm not comfortable with.
