Found this salon on yelp. We recently moved to the area and my daughter was looking for a salon for threading so I read the reviews and decided to take a chance. We called for an appointment, Anita answered with a warm greeting who is friendly and informative. When we came in we were greeted with a smile. The salon is clean, floors swept, chairs wiped and the air filled with incense. The music is relaxing and our overall experience was great. My daughter is happy with her service and that makes me happy. This is our second appointment with Anita and we will be back. affordable but my eyebrows are scabbed from the threading. maybe I didn't hold my skin taught enough for her but I have long nails so it was hard. they're also a little uneven but that might be my anatomy's fault. Would probably go back and they give a punchcard. also the place doesn't say "silk usa" on the outside anywhere. it was a little hard to find it. it's right next to dunkin' donuts, but a bit tucked in. So, I found out of this location for waxing services via through Groupon! During covid, they changed how they provided services, with others safety as priority. This was the first time I've ever hmmm had my eyebrows threaded and let me tell you... it was fun and relaxing! I liked the feeling and sound the thread would make as it pulled my estranged eyebrow hairs. Brazilian was a bit rough, but overall. Had no issues, as long as the hairs were out... right ^_^? I liked this place! I needed a new place for waxing and found SilksUSA on Yelp:) One woman was consulting with another customer when I came in about her skincare routine, and seemed very knowledgeable and was concerned about offering a microdermabrasion to skin treated with medication. I liked how she seemed to genuinely care about the customer, instead of the profit she could make. The woman who did my wax was super sweet and efficient and the price shocked me! Went here twice.. the first time I came she did an okay job threading my eyebrows although it was a bit thinner than how I would like it. I told her I only wanted a clean up as I was trying to grow out my eyebrows, she said that she understood. The second time, I came here a week and a half later just for a clean up before I went on vacation. I came in and told her I just wanted a clean up which was just the tiny hairs underneath the shape of my eyebrows, she told me okay. While she was threading, I felt her pulling out many hairs.... at that point I knew she over threaded as a clean up is literally just the small hairs.. After she was done, I thanked her & tipped her as I was blinded halfway from holding on to my eyelid for a clean thread. It wasn't until I went in the car that I saw how thin my eyebrows are... My eyebrows are literally era 2000... skinny as a stick. It is so hard trying to fill them in because there's literally just a strip to fill in.. Terrible place! To start off, I went to this salon for eyelash extension- bad mistake. She was giving a special for $40 for classic extensions because she had just opened. I guess this was her first time. The actual procedure of applying the lashes was very quick- only 40 minutes, so I was really surprised. Once I got up and saw what I looked like I knew why it was so quick. She applied the lashes in any direction so that some were pointing downward and some to the side, some all the way facing up. It looked absolutely horrific. I am so embarrassed to walk out of the house like this. I don't even know how to salvage my lashes. I do not recommend coming to this place. I found out about this place from their groupon deal. $45 for a full body wax? Heck yea! I came in a waxing virgin (besides my eyebrows) and I was terrified. The full body included full legs, full arms, bikini and underarm. I was terrified of the bikini and armpits, ouch. I was put at ease right away, my waxer was very sweet. We did the legs first, bikini, armpits, then arms. The thing i noticed the most is that she works VERY FAST. She didn't give me a whole lot of time to be nervous before she was all done. I did my homework on the nasty bikini/brazilian area and was expecting the worst. It was a piece of cake, no joke. It hurt, yes but not NEARLY as bad as I was expecting. She worked very quickly and efficiently. Overall I had a wonderful first time experience. They are a small shop that seemingly doesn't get too busy, but hopefully they pick up business soon. Prices are hard to beat--$5 for a quick and (mostly) painless eyebrow threading and $4 for lip threading. She will offer a punch card for a free threading after 10 threadings which is a nice touch. The owner is sweet and very efficient and listens to your suggestions. She also offers facials which I am eager to try when I have more time. I have only been here once. I had a Groupon for a bikini wax and eyebrow threading. The lady was really nice. I wish I remembered her name. My GPS had me going in circles but I called and she stayed on the phone with me until I found the place. I told her this was my first bikini wax and I was nervous. She told me not to be nervous and I would be fine and explained the process. She did a test strip and asked me if the wax temperature was ok and if there was any pain. It stung but it was not excruciating pain. It went quickly too. The eyebrow threading was decent. The place was clean and non-Groupon prices are reasonable. I recommend this place. read more

At first, the manakins at the windows were creepy, and the sign was damaged so I wasn't sure if I got the right place. Found this place on groupon. The door was locked, but the lady immediately came to open it, so I wasn't awkwardly standing there for more than a second or two. I filled out a paper for the facial. It was my first time, so I had no idea what to expect. It was very relaxing, and the lady was very nice. The music was very pleasant too. I fell asleep needless to say xP My skin does feel cleaner, but my face isn't that bad compare to other ppl, so I can't say I feel a huge difference. At home I usual, cleanse, mask, then moisturize, but I don't think she applied moisturizer on my face, so I just applied some when i got home. It's a pet peeve when I don't moisturize. Over all, nice experience and I would more than likely return and try the other services. the price is really cheap. read more
