I have to get to class at least 45 minutes early if I don't want to walk from one end of campus to the other in 100 degree weather. the staff is snobby in every single department and sometimes they do not know how to answer my questions. but this is the only college in the area. please build the palm springs satellite campus ASAP. we have all been waiting.

However, I think the absorbent parking fee is too much to ask of students, or at least roll it into the cost of tuition. Also, there needs to be more funding in order to offer more capstone classes here (or at least online) to avoid the 2.5 hour roundtrip visit to San Bernardino 1-2 times per week. Its great that they are on a quarter system, however, many of the other CSU's are not, so that makes transferring schools next to impossible if you go to summer school, also the pre-requisite requirements vary location by location so there is no consistency within the same program at different locations.

This review is about KATRINA the security guard at the Palm Desert Campus. Katrina is extremely…read morerude, has a bad attitude, unhelpful to the students, and should not be working in a university environment. I called to ask her about pick up times for shuttle services during the summer to the main campus. She told be the pick up times for the summer are 6:15 and 7:15 am. I had mandatory orientation at the main campus and showed up at 7:00am. And guess what there was no shuttle, and I did not make it to my orientation. I went up to Katrina and asked her were the shuttle was? She shrugged her shoulders and Did not seem to care, she was to busy playing with her phone. I said to her you informed of the pick up times during summer. I quickly called the main campus and they told me there is no shuttle during the summer. I told Katrina what they said and she said well I guess their is no shuttle, and she rolled here eyes at me. I had to write a letter to my instructor why I missed orientation and continue with the program. This is has not been my first altercation with KATRINA, can't wait until I graduate so I don't have to see her anymore or her sourpuss face.

UCR-PD is composed of two big buildings but is home to a lone credit degree program, a low-residency MFA. Presumably there are other extension and non-credit activities that happen here? A lot of what I learned here I use at my current job. Mr.Borja is a great instructor try to learn as much as you can and don't give up it is worth it in the end. I worked in the mornings and came to school at night sacrificed a lot of my time but it sure was worth it because now I work doing what I Love.
