Guaranteed for cute backdrop photos, great for kids/families and it's such a big farm overall! Such a variety of pumpkins, squash and gourds! They have delicious hot apple cider and pumpkin donuts. Fresh produce and fruits, and honey too with apple cider available for purchase! They have a cornmaze for $7 admission, sunflowers and just a cute vibe all around. It is pretty popular too! There were a few results but we decided to come here first and boy did we make the right choice. Directions to here was straight forward and plenty of parking either on their lot or street parking. U-pick started at 9am and we got there around 9:30. There were already about 20-30 families there. We were wondering if there would still be ripe strawberries left since they have been opened the previous 3 days already as well and the lot wasn't very big. But within a short of amount of time, we have got some amazing strawberries! We tasted some and they were so delicious and sweet. Will visit again for sure!!! More than half of the field was covered in weeds to the point where you couldn't find the path between the strawberries. As a result, many of the berries were stepped on and plants trampled. There were some tall prickly weeds that can easily scratch you if you were not careful. While we understand some weeds are expected in an organic farm, but this was way out of control. We had to work really hard at finding good ripe berries amongst the camouflage. It took two adults over an hour to pick 5 lbs. We might try the other organic farm we drove by on the way to Bolles next year. Their field appeared to have been better taken cared of.

Coinciding with a recent visit to Deception Pass for the low tide in June, we decided to visit the actual farm stand up in Mt. Vernon on the way. This location consists firstly of a little building in front with a drive through and walk up window serving freshly made fruit smoothies, coffee, and ice cream. The only menu with pricing is located on the drive through side so it's a little inconvenient for walk ins! But at least for strawberries, they get fresh fruit right from the farm (we saw them walking in several flats of Rainiers as they opened up in the morning). Otherwise, the main store is in the barn-looking building behind that. When we visited in Mid-June, they were selling tons of different plants (50% off!), lots of freshly baked pies, and tons or strawberries! When we first walked in at 9:30 AM, the strawberries had literally just been brought to the stand; they were fresh as fresh can be. They had two varieties for the day: Albion (as with most Day-Neutral varieties, these are mediocre, but still better than grocery store varieties), and Rainier, one of the most flavorful varieties grown in Washington. We picked up a half flat for only $20, and would have bought more if not for the fact that we had already purchased 8 pounds of Upick Puget Crimsons from another farm just the previous day. We opted to also hit the little cafe to pick up one of Schuh Farms famous strawberry milkshakes. Strawberry Shake, 20oz ($8.50) - So delicious, the decadent dessert and ridiculously thick, rich, and creamy. Does this milkshake consist of strawberry blended with strawberry ice cream to amp up that fruity flavor? The strawberry is exceptionally jammy and it stays jammy even when the drink warms up. It somehow never gets watery like melted ice cream! (5/5) I've been buying from Schuh Farms ever since moving to Washington and I plan on continuing to be a customer in future years. Now I know there's a big advantage driving up to the farm instead of just stalking their stands at the farmers markets in town!
