They also have a front field for photo ops, and many u-pick fields Andrew and Holly do an incredible job caring for the farm and Holly makes beautiful jewelry available for purchase. My Groupon suggested to call ahead and make a reservation, which wasn't a problem at all. The person at the Berry Barn where you check in was very friendly and informative. The maze itself went by fairly quickly, but it was fun to have an interactive trivia aspect to it. I also enjoyed a raised platform at the center to see over the whole maze. It was a lot of fun, and a family-friendly activity you can do in an hour or two.

Now, to be clear, this isn't some official petting zoo or farm tour it's more like a local gem hidden in plain sight. The owners must know their donkeys are the stars of the area because they made a small parking area behind one of the nearby buildings with a sign marked parking with a donkey icon. Visitors come and go, snapping photos and saying hi to these little four-legged celebrities. When we arrived, a few of the donkeys trotted right up to greet us clearly veterans at charming visitors. They seemed to expect treats or maybe just wanted attention and each one had a bit of personality. We brought our dogs along and, surprisingly, everyone got along just fine. While I personally wouldn't recommend petting them (always better safe than sorry) others were giving gentle scritches and the donkeys didn't seem to mind. If you're en route to the tulip fields and want to add a smile-worthy memory to your day, this unexpected donkey stop is 100% worth it especially if you have kids, animal lovers, or just need a quick serotonin boost.

You can buy some tulips inside. They have an option of potted tulips to take home. You cannot buy bulbs but they do offer info on ordering the bulbs to be sent to your home address in the Fall. The staff were fun and helpful in ordering into and helping decide which bulbs to order. Fun stop for families or just anyone wanting to enjoy the beautiful colors of the flowers.

Nice photo ops around the field. They also have tractor ride (free), cafe, and a souvenir store. I had much fun taking all the pictures and getting some flower seeds for home. If I'd of known better, I would've went to their farm instead. The farm should delay their opening if the customers aren't getting what is being advertised. Also sectioning out a few rows so that can be picked so that customers can have an immersive experience would be my recommendation. I have yet to go to a tulip festival where you can't pick. That's all. And I'm not trying to dig at this particular farm, but my personal experience was not the best and would hate for anyone else to have to go through that. Maybe call ahead to get your questions answered before relying on the site. As it did not state any of those things, and if it did, it was hard to find.
