My favorite crystal shop and the readings are accurate! Owner is very friendly and easy to work with. I love her she's super sweet and generous. Shop also has reasonably priced items and great deals! I'm not sure about the reviews that say she says she's rude or accusatory. Because being a regular i know if she has a problem with someone then it's probably because they were doing something wrong, offensive, or stealing and got caught. She can read people well. If she doesn't trust you then that's probably because she knows something's off. read more

The owner is very helpful and easy to talk to. I don't know why there are bad reviews...she always allows you to try on things that say "do not touch without assistance", and I also have serious metal allergies and have never had an issue with a single item. read more

The owner is very rude and will accuse you of stealing almost the entire time you go in there. She has accused multiple people I know of stealing. If you're younger, you're a target for this. She hovers over you at all times. Also her silver is fake, so don't buy. You're also not allowed to touch anything without being chastised. read more

The owner has over 500 scented oils to choose from. Definitely a scent for everyone. There's a lot of unique jewelry, candles, clothing and more. The owner is super friendly and helpful. I like to just stop in here every so often to see what new items she has. It's totally a hippie shop and I love all the neat items she carries. Many of the items are from her trips to Peru. The owner has a nice shop and I have never seen her not be cordial to anyone. I don't understand why anyone would be offended of she offers to help remove bracelets from a bracelet display. There are signs on all of the displays requesting "please not remove yourself and to please ask for help." I can totally understand the concern with the cuff bracelets that if someone yanks it off over the top of the bar, it would wrench the bracelet out of shape. It would put creases in the cuff and render the bracelet non sellable. I can see that she does have beautiful handmade cuff bracelet with large stones that can cost over $100. What is wrong with asking the store keeper for help instead of just helping yourself to things you may not know how to handle without damaging? The bracelet bars are normal bars, many people do not know that the cuff bracelets must be slid off the side not over the top. When I go into any nice jewelry store I ask for help. I do not help myself and pull apart their displays. This store has mostly handmade jewelry with natural stones and I can't understand a customer that feels so entitled and has such a lack of respect that she would write the terrible comment that she wrote! Only because the store keeper offered to help her remove something then explain why.... I also don't understand why the woman complaining about not being able to smoke made such a public issue. I have been many times to acorn alley shopping where Silver and Scents is and there are signs showing its a non smoke area. It seems like some people just like to attack innocent people so they temporarily feel better. Spreading their own negativity. read more

Don't waste your time here. The woman is unbelievably rude. You aren't allowed to touch things out in the open - I wanted to see the price of a $13 bracelet and she chastised me like a child not to touch it because her displays are delicate. (Hint-get better displays) Other items are in cases, also not to be touched- with prices not visible. If you want to see those $6 earrings, you have to wait until she's not busy hovering over and insulting another customer. She thinks she's running a Tiffany's, but it's more like a Claire's with the customer service of a prison commissary. I'm a grown adult with money to spend and she treated me like dirt. read more

I have patronized Silver and Scents in Kent many times since it has opened and have always had a pleasant experience. The shop is conveniently located in downtown Kent, yet it is tucked away in Acorn Alley, thus providing shoppers a relaxing and quieter experience. Silver and Scents is small but abundant in merchandise. The shop features items from all over the world that the owner purchases during her travels. These items include: perfumes, jewelry, backpacks and bags, candles, clothing, decorations for the home, and much more. However, due to their unavailability after the owner returns to the states, many of the foreign goods cannot be restocked quickly. Among the purchases I have made at Silver and Scents are a cuff earring, a Claddagh ring, and a purse. The purse was a gift for a friend and she uses it often. The Claddagh ring ended up being too large for my finger, but it fits my thumb. The cuff earring is silver and has five hoops. I have received many compliments on it. Silver and Scents is owned by a friendly older woman who claims to be a psychic. She will often ask questions of customers if she intercepts certain vibes from them, but the questions are never too personal and she does not pry if a customer prefers not to answer. The questions the owner asks are just an enjoyable bonus and it is most certainly not required that you participate in these readings in order to shop at Silver and Scents. I would recommend Silver and Scents to anyone who enjoys unique goods from around the world and an exciting shopping experience. read more

I read another review that said the owner sold a ring to the reviewer and claimed it was sterling silver, but since it turned their finger green, they surmised it was fake. Well, the copper that is in sterling silver can turn your finger green and it can be real silver. So I feel I must write this review. I want to say that this organic hippie-type store is just that! With inexpensive and hand-made items mostly from Peru. It's a great place to shop for this type of item and she brings in new things all the time and is knowledgeable and fair. The lady that runs the shop told me that the ring I bought was silver and it wasn't. That ring turned my finger green. If you aren't allergic to cheep metals, she has neat looking rings. Just be keep in mind most if not all of her jewelry is fake. read more
