I have had a number of music boxes repaired there over the years. Most recently last week -February 9th 2021. The owner is very conscientious and skilled with the work that he does. Most congenial man and always a pleasure to do business with him. He also sells and repairs watches and clocks both modern and antique as well as sundry other jewelry such as gold and silver chains. Once upon a time this place was awesome. These days, it is now apparently owned by the original owner's step-daughter and I would give it zero stars if I could I am so mad right now. Took 5 rings in to be resized and one, the shank needed repaired also. I had worn that ring a lot and it cracked. Was told they could do what I asked on all the rings, even though one of them had to be enlarged quite a bit. Went and picked up my rings about a week later. Put them all on because I was headed back to work and didn't just want to throw them in my purse. One ring lasted 4 hours until the shank cracked. Took it back...was asked if I was lifting weights. Um, no. I'm a secretary. They asked if I lifted anything. I said the only thing I had lifted in those 4 hours was a box containing t-shirts that someone handed me, and it would not have caused the ring to break like that. (I had also taken it to another jeweler for a second opinion after it cracked and he said they did a bad job and I should take it back.) So, they repaired the ring...went a week later and received. Still thin as heck. Sits in a box at home. So here we are 3 weeks later and a second ring has cracked. Had my husband take it back there today since I work so much and they told him that when I was in there the first time I was told that thickening the shank was an option. ABSOLUTELY NOT. That is just a straight up lie. In fact, the second time I was in there, I even showed the one woman working there what the old owner had done for me by adding gold to my ring to make it thicker many years ago when he enlarged it for me and she just simply said "ya". That might have been a good time to say...oh we could do that again for you on this ring for an added fee, but again, was NOT mentioned. They also told my husband that I had said I was lifting heavy boxes and that's how the first one cracked. NO. (Refer to paragraph one for what I actually said.) If they felt it was my fault it cracked, why did they fix the first ring (sort of) for free? So now all of a sudden we could pay $200+ more to have the shank thickened. My husband said no, and did receive a refund for that rings initial "repair". It's been 3 weeks and I have 2 rings I can't wear (one being my late mother-in laws and one being my late great-grandmothers) after paying almost $1,000. I guess that is chump change to them. I was definitely not an important customer. Oh and also some of that money paid was for appraisals and THEY appraised my gold and diamond ring 15 years ago and again now and somehow it went down in price $1,600. I mean, I realize jewelry fluctuates in pricing...but that much on gold and diamonds? I used to rave about this place to everyone. Recommended it to everyone I knew. Not anymore. Save your time and money and find somewhere else to go! read more

What happened to this place one will never know. The original owner owner was kind, patient, listened. The new staff (in my opinion) was curt, rude and impatient. I was witness to one of the employees (female) actually saying "F you" to another. The once professionalism and individual attention that was once experienced is this establishment is long gone. I strongly recommend taking business elsewhere. The people at Kohl's jewelry counter were more polite then the staff (in my opinion) here. read more

Cambridge Jewelers is a GREAT small business in Hudson OH. The staff is talented and truly cares about your experience at the store. We have purchased a ring at the store, had custom necklaces made by Mindy, and multiple appraisals. The service is friendly but the quality of their work is why I would recommend Cambridge. I had both my first engagement ring and wedding band custom made by Cambridge Jewelers, Jen Kline, and even though the marriage wasn't perfect... My rings were! Platinum with diamonds. I have attached the best picture I have, as you can expect I don't have too many from the first marriage, lol, but by the photo does not even come close do doing the rings justice.
