Gino's Jewelers was rated the absolute highest. And it was close to me. I stopped by after work one day. Mike waited on me and I told him that I wanted to use one (Mom's loyalty ring) ring band to enforce and fix my Dad's class ring. I also told him about a necklace that was pulling my hair out at the nape of my neck that I wanted to get rid of because I heard they buy gold there too. One week later, I had my Dad's ring back on my finger, the hair grabbing necklace sold and a check for the left over gold. I can't even explain how grateful I am to find a Jewelers that I trust. Mike also looked at a bunch of old jewelry that I wanted to get rid of and let me know what was gold and what wasn't. You can not go wrong visiting and trusting Gino's. Do not go here ... rude older lady behind the counter. gives off a "Karen" vibe. Got my finance a 2carat engagement ring that was an heirloom. She took it there to get sized. they treated her like she had a bogus ring and refused to work on it saying they were mot sure on the quality of the diamond even with certification. Who has the audacity to treat a newly engaged woman like that ???? Completely rude and unprofessional. VERY RUDE! Told me my rings were made in China and to have them soldered where I bought them. Shoved them back in the box without even putting them in the slot and sent me on my way. When I entered the store I was not helped or approached for 15 minutes since there was only 1 worker on duty Saturday afternoon. The staff was rude and down right arrogant patronizing the customer. I was told the design we wanted wasn't popular so they don't carry it because they needed to make money. We were mocked for using internet websites to research design and price. The cherry on top of there terrible store was they had NO financing for an engagement ring and made it seem like we were unwelcome when we are both well paid professionals. We recommended Gino's and my brother drove down from Detroit with a family heirloom watch, for repair. After spending hundreds of dollars ostensibly for a crystal, and cleaning, the watch quit working. Salesmen were dismissive and condescending. Repeated requests to speak to the repairman were rebuffed. A second trip from Detroit received the same treatment. Gino's may have been a great store in the past. No more. read more

This place is a big rip off; the people who run it are snobby, arrogant and not helpful. I went in the other day asking to remove links for sizing a very basic watch. After taking phone calls in the store that came in after I arrived and making me wait 20 minutes they claimed they didn't have the "right tools" to size my bracelet watch??? Next I went to downtown Cleveland to a real simple jewelry store in the Colonial Arcade. The employee was courteous engaging and removed links for 10 bucks in a few minutes, no problem. Just called to find out a price of a very small sterling silver charm since it wasn't listed on their site. The price was fine at $28.50 but when asked about shipping, was told $15.00-20.00! When I expressed my dismay I was told her shipper wasn't there, but with insurance, etc. that would be about the cost. I mentioned Amazon and was curtly told they were not Amazon. NO KIDDING! Went to Amazon and just ordered it there. Same price and NO shipping cost!!! read more

We have been customers for many years, however, we were very unhappy with the product received on a custom ring ordered. It took a long time to receive, was produced out of town, and per the salesman, "they tried to come close" to what was wanted and drawn. Actually, it did not have the features specifically agreed to at all. Very disappointed. Will use a jeweler with a jeweler on premises in the future. read more

Gino's is truly a rip-off. Bought many things from them, including an expensive watch. Took it in to replace a battery and they forced a battery in that didn't fit and broke the watch...over $200 in repairs. I would not trust this jewelry store. We took a family heirloom engagement ring to Gino's to be appraised. Gino's appraised the ring at $16,000. On that basis we gave the ring to our daughter for her upcoming engagement. Our daughter subsequently had the ring sized for a new band at a different store in a different city. At the second store she was told the stones were fake and the ring contained no diamonds. Our daughter was devastated. We then took the ring to several other jewelers who confirmed it did not contain real diamonds. We carefully researched and documented the situation, including photographs from before and after the Gino's appraisal, and multiple examinations of the ring. When we returned to Gino's, the jeweler stated the ring must have been a fake even though they had initially appraised it for $16,000. During our return visit to the store, they re-examined the ring with a diamond tester and in approximately thirty seconds said it was nearly worthless and contained no diamonds. We were told everybody is human and makes mistakes. They did not offer to refund the appraisal fee or help us in any other way. Gino's provided terrible technical service, terrible customer service and I would not trust this jewelry store. read more

My recent experience of an utter lack of interest or follow-up from Gino's has left me scratching my head. A week ago ago tomorrow, I brought in two heirloom pieces in search of a fine 30-inch silver chain. The young man who initially tried to assist me was very pleasant (but not knowledgeable on my request) and brought Sharon out to work with me. I found a chain that I liked in a display case and Sharon went to find out if the company offered it in my desired length. She soon returned to say that the company was on the west coast and had not opened for the day yet, so I gave her my name and number for her to call once she had an answer and a price. She did let me know that they would require a down payment on an order. I told her that once I had the necessary information, I'd be happy to return with an initial payment. By Wednesday evening, three full business days later, I had still not heard from Sharon and emailed Gino's with my surprise that no one had gotten back to me. I let them know that I had then made arrangements to purchase my item elsewhere. At the very least, I expected someone to care enough to respond and apologize for the lapse. Certainly, I would not want a customer to be left with such a negative impression and would want to assure them that if they were to return in the future, something like this would not occur again. I have yet to hear from anyone at Gino's and would no longer have faith that they value my business. read more

Ginos is a fine jewelry store, not a mall jewelry store. The service is impeccable, prompt, and courteous. Their selection of higher end jewelry and watches is very good. While they do charms, sterling silver is not their gig. They are not snobby about this, just honest about who they are. We bought my engagement ring there 12 years ago and it was both unique and absolutely stunning. I still get compliments on it today. My husband was given great service, a private, after hour viewing time to pick the stones, and was extremely pleased with his experience there. Just recently we took my ring back to be re-sized rather than go to a local jeweler and received the same service we got 13 years ago when we were spending substantially more money. Our original jeweler recognized us and asked us how my mom was doing! You can't buy that kind of service today.
