Silver Arrow is an absolutely fantastic live band that we'd recommend to anyone. They performed at my brother's wedding nearly a decade ago and were the suggested live band for our venue. We went to go see them do a live showcase which was super useful for getting an idea of the flow of the day and how they sound as a group. After that we knew we had to go with them. Matt made the lead up to the wedding really simple and stress-free and day-of they blew the doors off the venue. We were married in Troy, NY at a venue they had played before and we are beyond happy with them. A few of our capitol region based guests asked for their contact info because their kids are engaged and they were so impressed. Where do I begin.... I will admit we were a bit unsure at first about the idea of hiring a band without knowing which individuals/vocalists would actually be present to do our wedding, especially given our CT seaside location away from major cities. But rest assured...Silver Arrow absolutely elevated our wedding beyond imagination. It has been 3 months, and people are still talking about them (more than us as the bride and groom!). Add to that they are the most cost effective group out there, and it is a no-brainer. Their system of entering information (logistics, song choices, etc) into a dashboard over the weeks and months was a wonderful way to stay organized and on the same page with them. As we entered/changed information, they could immediately see it. We had a couple of calls with them to arrange specific details and songs (they allow up to 3 custom songs). I had a very specific idea in mind for how I wanted to get people from inside (at the conclusion of dinner) out to the dance floor. They not only were game, but leaned into it so well that people could not get enough of it. We had them play a 1930s Gatsby-esque song with their 9 piece band, including drums, and parade around the inside of the building conga-style, which everyone followed out to the floor. People mentioned it as their favorite moment of the wedding! These were all younger (20s and 30s) top, top-notch musicians. We and everyone else were floored by the sound and energy they put out. Far from a tired 'wedding band', these performers are out of top music schools and in the industry professionally and gave everything they had for our wedding. They also were able to seamlessly switch between Spotify playlists that we had arranged between breaks, to then play live for long stretches and doing MC'ing. And, they know what they are doing- they knew what songs to play and when for maximum impact and had the crowd rolling all night. It was all so great, and such the highlight of the wedding overall, that we are only sad we can't do it again, the same way, with Silver Arrow leading the way. We are endlessly grateful! read more

Silver Arrow Band was phenomenal to work with. We worked with Curtis on everything leading up to the day, and he was amazing to work with. He was so helpful, got on calls with us, and made us feel really confident that everything would go the way we requested. One the actual day, it could not have gone better. They played our custom requests for ceremony and seamlessly went right into the jazz trio for cocktail hour, and full 8 piece band for the reception. We LOVED the band. We saw them in person at a showcase performance and understood they have rotating musicians, but all were clearly extremely talented and happy to be there. The main coordinator Zerlina was so easy to work with and we had no issues. They knew what they were doing and were very clear with how to coordinate with the venue and set everything up on their own without putting any mental load on the bride/groom. We got to pick the music genres and their choices of songs were perfect. The dance floor never stopped and it felt like it went by SO fast. I only regret not booking them for longer because by the time it was over, we were so sad we didn't get to dance more!! It couldn't have been a better day. My experience hiring the Silver Arrow Band for my wedding reception was nothing short of perfect from start to finish. They were utterly professional, organized, talented and efficient in every way, from the planning phase straight through to the event. Just go with a band, they ignored the playlist we created. I wish I had known before, as my husband spoke to them and said that if they just follow our playlist it would be fine. I should have just created a do not playlist, as my actual playlist was completely ignored. One of our bridesmaids did approach the lead of the band, with the list that was sent to them telling them that they weren't playing of the songs we had requested. The lead was rude, and said "we should have been more specific." Not sure how specific one can get when they literally created a song list. Just get a DJ. read more

Band is fine, but communication is like a game of telephone between producers and band members. Complete disregard for no play list and incompetence when it came to playing DJ'd music for first dance / wedding party intro's. The MC had the wrong input on their speakers and a wedding guest resolved the issue after a long 5-10 minutes of silence. Silver Arrow Band is the ULTIMATE wedding band. We hired them to play a Black-Tie formal wedding ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception at The Society Room of Hartford, CT. The band absolutely crushed it for each component of the day! We had a last minute tweak to the ceremony, and they were able to help us out without any issue. The jazz trio set the perfect mood for cocktail hour, and the dance floor was FULL throughout the entire reception. Even some people we didn't expect to see on the dance floor just had to get out there because of how great the music was. Silver Arrow band performed at our wedding this year and they were truly incredible. First of all, the music was amazing - we did a Jazz trio for our Cocktail Hour and then a full 10 piece band for the reception. They really blew the roof off of the place - all of the musicians were very talented, high energy, and didn't hold back. All of our guests were impressed and the dance floor stayed packed, which is what we wanted more than anything. Silver Arrow is also different from other wedding bands in that the musicians manage everything directly - Liz was our Manager as well as one of our singers and she was really amazing. I think this approach really helped us - when an actual musician is helping you plan the event you get a lot more insight into what will work well and a lot more engagement since they're the ones that may actually be there performing. This also essentially cuts out the middle man, and we definitely felt like we got a lot more for our money that we could have elsewhere. They definitely have a unique process for managing things that they support largely through a custom online portal they've built, but it works really well if you follow it. Liz and team were also extremely attentive the day of - we had some small issues at the venue/with the schedule, and Liz and team stepped up right away without any of us even asking, managing the venue staff directly to get things sorted out and ensuring that we could all focus on enjoying the day. This really stood out to us - Liz and team really put us first and managed anything that came up professionally and somehow with a sense of fun/without any stress. All of this despite the fact that we had a packed schedule and a bunch of special requests, including a joint performance that the band did with a friend of ours for our first dance, which the band pulled off beautifully! I had my wedding about a month ago and I still cannot stop thinking about how mindblowingly incredible Silver Arrow Band was! My partner and I agreed that we wanted to ball out for a live band because music was so important to us. We wanted to prioritize a band that had a big sound to fit our venue, do both oldies and recent pop, and keep the energy up throughout the wedding. And holy cow they exceeded our expectations and MORE. For starters - we worked with our producer, Andy, prior to our big day to make sure we had all our details locked. We provided Andy with our big moment songs, our inspo playlist, and overall details for the wedding, and hoped to lean on him to help us flesh out some of the more nitty gritty details like timing for the dances and speeches. He was so kind and SO efficient and make sure to cover every little detail on our prep call. He eased so much of my pre-wedding anxiety with his calmness and professionalism. We went with a jazz trio for the cocktail hour and a ten piece band with emcee for the reception, so the group included a horn section and the sound was just mind-blowing. As we were getting ready to enter the reception, we really thought we were listening to a recording because the band sounded so incredible! We may be biased but we've been to a lot of weddings with live bands and I think Silver Arrow was the best we've ever heard. Every single member of the band that day was so talented - it was so fun to hear their solo riffs throughout the night. The lead vocalist/emcee's ability to work the crowd was unparalleled - the energy in the room was dialed up to 100 the entire night. I seriously felt like I had an out of body experience during their performance of "Shout" and was brought to tears during the last song when they had all our friends and family circle around us. They did such an amazing job of being attentive to the energy of the room and curating everything to make sure we felt cherished and special the entire evening. The entire process was smooth and professional. They provided more information than any other vendor and always responded within 24 hours. The Silver Arrow Band played at our daughter's wedding this past Saturday. They were fantastic and received rave reviews from our guests. The smaller group who played jazz during the cocktail hour and dinner were great--just the right tempo, great song choices, and not too loud. People could hear each other talk! Afterward, with additional musicians, the band began the dance music. Absolutely great song choices, lots of talent! The vocalists were so good and the musicians really talented. One guest commented that he would see them if they were playing at a club! I saw SAB at a wedding I attended and loved them, so it was an easy decision to choose them for my own. I spoke with Liz at their NYC showcase and again on the phone weeks later and she was excellent, providing a ton of information and patiently answering my many questions. When I booked, I worked with David and it was an unfortunate experience. Emails went unanswered for long periods of time and anytime I tried to hop on the phone with him to discuss the playlist, he was unavailable. It was important to us to have a couple of obscure songs played live, and I was told the band will learn up to 5 new songs. When I finally did catch him on the phone, it was the week of my wedding and I let him know the songs I was hoping to have the band learn. He made a huge stink about it. While they did learn songs for our first dance and the father/daughter dance (and they were amazing!), David said they couldn't learn anything else since there was limited time to rehearse. This was his fault because he waited until days before to have a call with me. He kept saying those important songs should be played by the ipod during band breaks, which is just background noise and defeats the purpose. Secondly, when I was discussing things that were important to me, he brushed them off, saying that this may be a huge day for me but for the band, it was just another work day. So that was unpleasant. Finally, we created a timeline together, to ensure that the band is playing in between meal courses so people could dance, and then the band taking breaks when guests are sitting and eating. It unfortunately was the complete opposite. Guests started to leave a full hour before the reception was over because the band was on a break. When they came out for their final set, there were just a handful of people left to enjoy it. Would I recommend the band itself? Absolutely! Guests came up to us and said they loved the live music. However, I would say that you should try to work directly with Liz. Or if you get David or someone else who doesn't exactly care about your wedding because "it's just another work day", then request a switch to someone who has far superior customer service skills. read more

Working with Silver Arrow Band (Liz in particular) couldn't have been better. She's an absolute pleasure and pro to work with - she'll reduce stress in your planning at every step, she'll tailor the experience to exactly what you what, and she'll make sure the event itself is something your guests will not stop raving about. Planning a wedding during the pandemic wasn't easy - we had to switch venues at the last second, drastically change the guest count, alter the size of the band, reconfigure which rooms were going to have speakers/mics, and so much more. But yet Liz handled all of it in stride and pulled it off perfectly. Every time we spoke with her was followed by a deep sigh of relief from us as she would just say "no problem at all - let's make it happen!" We had a prep call a week before and sent a list of requested songs. Honestly I don't know how any set of humans can be a walking juke box that knows literally every single song we asked them to consider playing. On top of that, here were some of our more obscure requests for the night: Can you add a saxophone last-minute? Oh and can they walk around in the crowd and get everyone really into it? (oh they did...and having a circle of people dancing around a saxophone solo in the middle of the dancefloor is highly recommended) I know we're going for an old school Frank Sinatra vibe for the night, but can you also somehow throw in some rap songs? (Liz said they don't really do rap, but then proceeded to put on a performance that could have ended Eminem's career) Don't stick too close to our list - can you read the crowd and just play what you think is best? (HIGHLY recommend letting them do this - don't pigeon hole them into an exact setlist - give them guidance and let them run with it. They are absolute professionals that can see what the crowd is feeling, and they'll play the exact right songs at the exact right time while still sticking to the overall feel you want for the night.) The performance itself was beyond flawless. I had guests coming up to me all night saying they had never heard this great of a band at a wedding. And I agree. I can't say enough good things about Silver Arrow Band. You guys made our night so memorable and perfect. read more
