BEST spot at Rimrock lake! Beautiful lake, water sports, BBQ on the beach. Lots of people, music, families having fun! You can rent a room at the motel, camp, bring ur rv, cabins and trailers! Don't get me wrong it is still camping! Don't be a princess and enjoy the beautiful wilderness! Plenty of places to take long walks to experience nature! I truly hate leaving bad reviews but my family and I were really disappointed with our stay at Silver Beach Resort. The campsites were so close to each other, I had to listen to the guy four feet from my tent snore all night. The first night, they did not manage quiet time at all, people were still yelling at 12:30 am. The next night, one of the camps had at least 25 people at their site and were playing their music so loud it was deafening throughout the entire campground. We were 100 yards away from them and had to raise our voices to be heard amongst ourselves. The showers and bathrooms were disgusting. (At least the water was hot in the showers) The lake itself is very beautiful but I would highly recommend you find another place on the lake to enjoy the lake. read more

Location is the reason to stay at this campsite. The quick access to Rimrock lake is amazing and the only reason I would consider going back. When we arrived to our site there was trash scattered all around. Trash all throughout the property too. Huge improvement is needed by the staff to clean and maintain the bathrooms. Super gross and looked like they weren't cleaned once while we were there for 3 days. Showers were just as bad. All I'm saying is, for $70+ a night, I expect more from staff to maintain this park. read more

We got here and saw that the lake was hardly there anymore. They gave us site 7. We have a 44-foot toy hauler, and have learned over the years that we just don't go to the site with the truck/trailer if the road looks a bit scary. My wife walked down to the site and saw it was really unlevel, and the back 15 feet just fell off. Gravel was dumped but not spread out, with no attention paid to where it went. The trees were so tight on every side of it, and at the site, there is just no way of either getting to it or getting into it with any safety. When we showed the pictures to the teenage girls running the office/store/restaurant, they said there were pictures of the site online, and we should have seen the way it was. There is one picture, and it's from a low level, looking back at a lake that was full years ago. Tried to explain that we could NOT get there safely, they said no refunds, and there are no other sites. We never PICKED that site; it was assigned by a manager months earlier when we made the reservation and explained what we had for a trailer. This was Labor Day weekend. We had to leave and try to find a different place at a moment's notice. No refund period at this place. Stay away. Unless you want a forest floor drive, Tree roots and all, and rude customer service. I have stayed here in the past and it was great, not so much this time. Could not close the bathroom sliding door it was off the hinges. Locks did not work on the doors and were covered by duct tape. They had fly tape hanging by the bed that you needed to walk past to get into bed. the vent above the stove was dirty and greasy and hasn't been cleaned in a very long time. Housekeeping needs to do a better job at cleaning way too many cobwebs. I know it's a cabin in the woods and not a 5-star hotel but good lord some care in the property would be nice. I sent an email and the response I received from Shar was I have addressed this with housekeeping and maintenance. Would have been nice for her to mention sorry your stay wasn't as nice as before but it's obvious they don't care. Please stay elsewhere and don't waste your money. read more

NOTHING but amazing things to say about Silver Beach Resort and their staff. Besides the awesome views and great food, my family's experience was made memorable due to the hospitality here. We got our self into a bit of a situation on the beach and got our vehicle stuck. The staff was more than willing to help in every way possible. We love staying here! Such a cool atmosphere and great food at the restaurant! Only things that's a little annoying is that if you have a stay booked and there is a natural disaster they won't give you a refund. they will ask you to reschedule instead. I think it's a little unjust and unpractical. read more

Loved the campground the first time I went there. Since then it has been nothing but a loud and rude experience. Loud ATVs, rude neighbors, rental trailers with 10 people staying in them. Even with a burn ban, multiple campsites had fires and management is nowhere to be found. Good luck getting anyone on the phone if you call the office during normal business hours. Too much money for poor service. read more

We stayed last week (Labor Day through Friday). We had an amazing time here. It was our first time at this resort. Although the lake was super low (clearly not their fault!) - it was still an amazing time. Oh - and the food there - holy cow - super surprised it was super good. Those fry's are to die for! And the pizza - they are HUGE! Only reason we have 4 instead of 5 stars was for our cabin. We stayed in cabin #2 - and it is a super basic cabin - not a lot of silverware, plates, etc. Just very basic. Same on everything else. I would like a nicer place to stay - but it wasn't so bad that I wouldn't stay again! In fact, that whole area is our new fave place to go to! Oh - and everyone at the resort was super nice - very professional - and it was a tough time because they had JUST re-opened after being closed due to the fires. Super great people! read more

I wish I could do 3.5 stars, because overall I liked staying here. There weren't that many people there, which I liked, but it was in June (maybe before the full swing of campers) and on a weekday. The lake was nice and refreshing. There were no frogs when I was there as someone else mentioned. I stayed in a cabin, and when they say cabin, they mean it. Reminded me of the old cabins I stayed in at summer camp. There's no AC, no tv etc. and the shower had a slightly musty smell. The beds were super uncomfortable - like pull out couch, lumpy, squeaks every time you roll over, uncomfortable. Except for sleeping, I didn't spend much time in the cabin though. I'm sure that's not what the draw of the place is - it's the lake. As maybe the name indicates, it is a very rocky beach so you have to bring a chair or something. It would be painful to lay out on a towel. read more

This is what I'd like say and all-right place to camp. I think it's probably a better place to camp if you have an RV. The lake is very nice, complete with mini island in the center, but isn't worth visiting again in my opinion. When I camped here I unfortunately killed SO MANY baby frogs ... they were covering the group hopping every which way... there was no way to not step on them. I guess that has tainted my view of this campsite. The camp ground is mostly dirt which means, with your typical NW misty rain, you get MUD all over your stuff. I believe the campgrounds could be greatly improved with some gravel and permanent tent areas that have some protection from rain? Like maybe a tent pad under a tree. There is a little restaurant and necessities shop that became very helpful when trying to find a tarp to place beneath the tent. I recommend this site to RVers or people that have a camping trailer. read more

we stayed in one of the tiny houses. it was a wonderful relaxing and truly great. the staff was kind, and respectful. the house had almost everything you need for a 5 person family. we cook some of the greatest meals with the gas stove that was in the tiny house. the beds we're comfortable and clean. My family and I have been using the boat launch here for years. The reason this is a low rating is due to the horrible attitude and lack of any customer service skills by Tanya at the stores cash register. She charged us 25.00 for parking and boat launch. We said "there's no parking though," her response was "well, that's the price." So we paid and never had parking and had to park off the highway! When we came back from parking the car up the road, a very nice lady who monitors the parking lot told us we didn't have to pay for something we wouldn't get. This awesome employee then went inside for us and got out "parking" money back for us. This was the 3rd time of dealing with Tanya and her rude behavior. I was then told she was being trained for management!!! I hope the owners and others locals like us all read this. Not a good addition to your wonderful business. If it wasn't for her we'd have given you a five. read more

I like the docs as they are the only ones open to the public on Rimrock if you launch at Silver Beaches launch. However the boat launch and parking are very sad and small. Wish there were more options for a cement boat launch on this lake. That said it is still a good place to go, but it can get crowded fast. read more

I love this place. My friends and I go here every summer to enjoy the lake and relax. If you want to camp, there are great spot and showers to use if you don't want to rough it. The food is great and the little store has everything you need! I can't wait to go this summer! I know it will be a blast and the staff will always be there if I need anything! read more

Just came home from a family camping trip and just loved this place. Fun on the lake. It was beautiful to kayak in the morning and then out on the boat in the afternoon. Close to some great hiking. Mt. Rainer is about 40 minutes away. The staff was so friendly and accommodating. I like that they have camp spots, cabins and RVs to rent and a motel, so it's great for a family gathering where everyone doesn't have RV's. And it's so convenient to have the little store for ice or what ever else you might need, plus great milkshakes! read more

This is the BEST place to go! Very charming hotel, best food, and the store has it all! We have been going to 20 plus years, raised our boys going there, they call it their Disney land! Rim rock burgers and fries at Silver beach are absolutely the best. We plan our schedule to go by there at meal times. The owners are very friendly and the waitstaff extremely accommodating. It is a great place to eat and to stay. Beautiful setting! Highly recommend!! read more

I wish I could rate this place better, I really really WANTED to like it more. The two stars are for the absolutely stunning view from our beautiful campsite, and for the very friendly staff members we encountered during our weekend stay. There were a gazillion baby frogs near the beach, and a couple of very scenic trails near the resort. However, there are a few things that "if I had known", would have dictated that we stay elsewhere. I'm not sure if it's the norm or not, but this place was a complete party zone both nights we were there. I haven't seen so much cheap beer in a very long time. Our neighbors were extremely loud, and the noise went until almost 1am. They were not the only party site by a long shot. There is no discernible quiet time enforced at all. The sites in the middle are jammed together pretty close, I felt bad for the people staying there who just wanted a quiet weekend of camping. Adding to the noise? Most everyone brings their dog along, which is great...we love dogs. Unfortunately, there were very few responsible dog owners staying here. LOTS of barking, and a few dog fights. Everyone lets their dogs run loose along the shoreline, even dogs that are aggressive and not under any sort of voice control. So I guess if you like that scene, this is your place. But we like a somewhat peaceful "back to nature" experience when we go camping, and I cannot recommend this place for those seeking the same. read more
