We are a reputable clinic with a reputable staff which care about animals and we care about our work we take a lot of pride in it But things go wrong and it's not always our fault you admitted that the other dog was playing and sutures break they're not indestructible. We had this discussion you left Happy. The wound was sutured closed in an appropriate manner that you feel that you were mistreated. We would've been happy to help if you would've come in with a nice attitude and we would've done our best to make sure the situation was dealt with. Instead, you and your mother felt That you should scream and you feel that if you scream the loudest it will get heard. Unfortunately, you ended up spending more money at another place which did nothing more than what we did initially. This was my third visit. The first visit was good. The second visit was not. I was told that my puppies that were a year and a half old needed to have non anesthetic dental cleaning. Today they were nice enough to make room for my dog who's been struggling for two months with mites. The Assistant came in to get the History and talk to us about everything. She was incredibly compassionate and kind. Then the vet walked in. I think her name was Vega. She was argumentative and condescending she was trying to tell me that my dog had fungus or bacteria which makes zero sense since both of my dogs have it and I was actually bit by the mites myself. I guess it was obvious that I wasn't happy so they sent the Office Manager in too try to frame me as a difficult person. And then I told her I didn't feel comfortable with the vet, and why, and she told me I would still have to pay for the appointment. Obviously, all they care about is money because as a doctor myself, I would never charge someone who was not happy with my approach. I left and went to another vet who confirmed that my dog had mites and the bill for the visit was half of what Silver Bluff charged me. read more

Dr. Sanchez has always been great with my pup. no complaints about HIM. I drive from Broward to see him. Unfortunately, I'm told he's only there part time. They are the most expensive I've been to, yet the clinic is rough looking, situated among dumpsters, with limited and uncomfortable parking... I think they feel it's "charming". But more importantly, they rarely pick up the phone, you end up on hold for a while, then a recording asks you to call again and hangs up. I had to keep calling. When I finally got someone, I told the guy my dog was in pain and he was licking on the wound. He said Sanchez was not in; I said I'd see anyone; He said take a picture or video and email it and then he would decide if maybe he can get me in the following day. Seriously, if they don't take urgent cases, I get it, just say so. That way if my dog needs immediate care, I know not to call here. If all you want is physical and you don't mind going through a series of bureaucracy just get the appointment, paying high prices for "charming", and waiting about 3 weeks to get in... Silver Bluff has been everything we'd hoped for in a veterinary clinic. We began coming to Silver Bluff when we adopted a kitten off the street, Pips. I scoured the internet for local wholistic vets and Silver Bluff was the only one. I personally love stepping into the clinic. It doesn't feel sterile and cold like a doctor's office. It's homey and comfortable with a garden out front and an open layout inside. The staff is all very sweet and the vets are extremely knowledgeable and advise with information and are never pushy about their recommendations. We really wanted to like this vet clinic, especially since they had such raving reviews. We moved to Miami a little over a year ago, and took our dog here for preventative care, such as vaccines and his annual checkup. They were great about all of that, and had fantastic COVID safety measures. The only downside for these visits was that they were a bit slow- they wouldn't come to get him from our car until at least 15-20 min after our appointment time. Recently, our pup's paws started to bother him. So much so that he was often limping because they hurt him so bad. It seemed like they were much worse after daycare, so we thought they may have been related. We were able to get an appointment with them so that they could look at his paws, and they didn't see anything wrong with them. As the situation continued to persist, we sent plenty of photos and described the situation to Silver Bluff Animal Clinic, and their suggested treatment was to send him to daycare in booties, or not send him at all. He is a 2 yr old Golden Retriever/Lab Mix- he has ENERGY! Not going to daycare is not a great solution for him. Also, these paw problems appeared out of nowhere- he had been going to the same daycare for over a year and had no problems until now. My husband and I noticed that his paw pads looked exactly like Hyperkeratosis. We brought this up with this vet clinic over email and they kind of just brushed us off..? We requested another appointment with them, to show them what we were seeing in person, but had to wait a MONTH AND A HALF for the next available appointment. That was just way too long- something was happening to my pup and I wanted him seen ASAP. We went to another vet in the area for a second opinion- they could squeeze us in the next day! They saw his paws and immediately knew that something was going on. After blood work, a paw pad skin biopsy, and a bacteria culture, we finally knew what was going on- he had a bacterial infection. We put him on the appropriate antibiotics and it completely cleared up! So, needless to say, I am very disappointed with how Silver Bluff Animal Clinic handled everything, and that they didn't seem to believe us when we said something was wrong with him. read more

UPDATE: Giving an average review on yelp (3/5 stars) and honest feedback as a client led to them emailing me today and telling me they were "uncomfortable" and that they were were cancelling the upcoming appointments I waited months to schedule and have. They also followed this with another email sending my mother's dog's records as they are apparently firing her as a client too despite her not being clueless to anything I complained about. Be careful not to go here, and whatever you do, don't recommend them to your friends or family because apparently giving honest feedback results in them taking vindictive action against not just you and your dogs, but also uninvolved family members you recommended to them. read more

I started with Dr. Sanchez when I adopted our sweet girl when she was a year and a half old. Until recently I found them caring and compassionate, and Dr. Sanchez was very informative and believes in the most natural approach- the past few visits I have seen a different veterinarian. They are difficult to get on the phone with Scheduling and then my sweet girl got sick last week terrible vomiting and diarrhea. I called Saturday morning knowing they have hours after she was so sick on Friday and was told they were too busy to see me but I could send them an email. I foolishly listen to them got a response to my email late afternoon Saturday. She continued to be sick on Sunday and it wasn't until a friend gave me some medication from his vet for exactly the same issue that I saw improvement- not going back there. Don't expect any immediate attention if your pet is sick. oh, and they really push dental cleaning, which I'm sure cost the fortune. I've had dogs all my life and never ever complained about a veterinarian until now. read more

I'm incredibly selective and diligent about my cats' care, and I truly feel this is a well deserved 5 stars. Firstly, I understand the reviews re getting appointments and getting through on the phone. They're busy and could use more admin support. A lot of places in Miami struggle with this right now. To me, other aspects of the clinic outweigh the minor hassle. Booking a morning appt well in advance is ideal. Second, I also understand comments that you don't see Dr. Sanchez. I didn't get the best vet (she was a temp) my first visit. I spoke up about this and now I get a lot of time with Alex who is incredible. I also get more face time with Dr. Sanchez. He's very involved and present before and after if you schedule surgery. What makes this clinic the best based on my research and visits to other Miami vets in my opinion: They don't push unnecessary meds, vaccines etc. And encourage a great diet. They also respect the owner's intentions. I've found them on board/supportive with my natural less invasive approach. If your pet has surgery, they diligently follow up multiple times via email and answer in detail to your concerns. If you have questions re care / food generally, Dr Sanchez or team email you detailed replies/recommendations. Alex is amazing. He's kind, patient and explains things clearly. All the staff love animals and treat my cats gently. The ladies talk to me about my cats' personalities at checkout, so it's evident they take the time when handling them. My cats always return for subsequent visits without seeming stressed or afraid of the clinic. The clinic is calm (compared to other clinics) and staff go with the flow. They help out with extra things that arise, extra requests.. Their site referral list on multiple topics is helpful and reliable. Dr Sanchez and Silver bluff have been taking care of our dogs since we moved back to Miami 5 years ago. Our oldest dog is over 18 and all of our dogs are above 10. Sadly we had to euthanize our oldest girl during covid, who first got very sick the night of Thanksgiving. They've always been there for us). Last year, my dog suffered from a cluster of seizures that left him in a state where my judgement at the time led me to believe that it would be best to have him euthanized after a couple of days. I asked Dr Sanchez for his opinion and after an extremely brief assessment of about 10 minutes, which I wasn't present in the room for due to covid, he agreed. I regret that decision to this day to go through with it. I understand I am ultimately the one to have made the choice, however I believe guidance for this was given far too lightly. At the moment, he told me step by step what would happen to my dog's body throughout the procedure as if I would find it interesting. The best light I can describe his bedside manner at the moment is that he simply wanted me to be educated on the process, however as distraught as I was it came off as lacking empathy. read more

The staff is quite friendly, but lots of issues with taking my dog here. 1. They are super busy, so to get an appointment, you have to book days, if not weeks in advance even in case of emergencies. 2. Because they are so busy, expect to wait 1-1.5 hours. 3. They have many rooms/stations. One doctor to see all the animals. He passes around and only spent 5 minutes with my dog 4. Ordered a bunch of tests, and kept recommending more and more tests, even paid extra for a vet radiology specialist to give an opinion, and still did not provide a treatment plan for my dog. Some $800 later... 5. Expensive. Really expensive, and as mentioned above, not worth it. Took my dog elsewhere, she was treated right away, feeling a lot better already. 12-14 years ago when I first took my dog there, this place was great. Used to get much more personable treatment. Then I moved and used another vet in my new area. Recently I moved back in the Silver Bluff/ Gables area and was disappointed to find this place changed so much. read more

The care they give you pet is incredible compared to any other vet I've been to (quite a few) and worth every penny. We are so grateful to the Dr. Sam and all the vets and assistants at this clinic. They gave so much love to our dog and to us when our dog was in her last days. Bama (our 12 yr old boxer) had been to this vet throughout her years. She always had great experiences there. She was a healthy dog overall and we luckily didn't have too many visits until the end. From the moment my wife and I started bringing our first puppy here, we were treated with nothing but compassion. The level of service these doctors and staff provide is comparable to no other. I could go on and on about the incredible environment and genuine love every employee there has for animals, but the epitome of why we love The Silver Bluff Animal Clinic can be summarized by our experience last night: My wife and I took our six month old puppy to the beach for the first time and he unfortunately swallowed a couple mouthfuls of sand. He was acting a little lethargic and we were concerned. We took our dog to the closest E.R. because it was Sunday evening and we had no other option. We were told our dog was desperately in need of an overnight plan and we were given an extremely large bill for multiple services. While my wife and I were panicking and, frankly, having emotional breakdowns, we shot various concerned emails to The Silver Bluff Animal Clinic. Please keep in mind, this was a Sunday evening and we had absolutely no expectation that those emails would be answered until the following day. We were just terrified and desperate. Within the hour, Doctor Sanchez was calling us FROM A HOUSE CALL. He took the time to speak to my wife and I about what was going on with our dog. He calmed us down, provided us with information, and even offered to take a look at the X-rays. Doctor Sanchez was able to tell from the X-rays that the sand our pet had eaten had passed any concerning areas. The overnight stay and other services on the inflated invoice provided by the emergency room were not necessary at all. Not only had Doctor Sanchez taken the time to read our emails and respond to our concerns, Doctor Fasano also took the time to take a look at the X-rays and send us equally compassionate and reassuring correspondence regarding our pet's situation. Both Doctors agreed our dog would be fine so we immediately retrieved him from the emergency room. As predicted, our pet was back to normal by morning. We are beyond grateful. The Silver Bluff Animal Clinic saved us a great deal of money and saved our pet from unnecessary procedures. These people really care about you and your pet and it's obvious from every interaction. Came here for a second opinion on my cat. They gave a different diagnosis, and we started him on medication with the new diagnosis. Turned out this was the correct diagnosis and helped out my cat a lot. Seeing better, more energy and not peeing as much. It's been a while since I brought my chihuahua to the vet, so when he started acting a bit off, I was on the hunt for the best vet in Miami. I turned to yelp and decided to go with Silver Bluff. It was an amazing choice! The staff was great and super patient as was the Vet. I like that they don't force unnecessary vacciations (they look at risk of each dog). They also focus on the whole dog (food, activity, etc.) as opposed to just the medical side. I am so excited to have found Silver Bluff and will be back whenever we need. As for prices, any vet visit hurts the wallet, but I liked that they are very upfront so you don't get shocked with more than you had expected. My dog was bitten by another dog about a year ago and has seen several vets and has had 2 surgeries, the lip is still swollen and has a new infection. I drove from Ft Laudy to the Grove without an appointment and they got me in as walk in about 90 minutes later. I kept my dog in the truck so he wouldn't get excited and he locked me out. I borrowed a wire hanger, that didn't work, and his assistant Natalie saw on youtube a video about taping the window and pulling it down, She spent about 30 minutes outside with me trying to get in, we even used one of the house pets to get my dog to come to the window and he finally hit the open door button. If Nat didn't help I would have had to break a window so THANK U Natalie. Dr Sanchez and Sara were great also taking time to go over my options and did a blood swab to test for cancer while I waited. Looks like another surgery, His fee was very reasonable, a new window would have cost more. read more
