The driver Meagan was the worst driver ever, first of all I had to grab an uber to follow my car On the town truck because company policy don't give the driver a ride and I was on the highway waiting for uber to get me. Do not use these people. I repeat DO NOT use these people. Left me stranded on the highway after waiting for 2 hours for a "30 minute pickup" --each time I called for an ETA dispatch said "30 mintes" like we were engaged in some kind of farce. Dispatch called me for pick up location and talked over me when I was trying to explain location & direction, even though AAA gave them an exact mile marker, exit and direction already. At the last minute they refused to give me a lift in the tow truck even though they knew it would mean leaving me in the dark, on the side of the highway for another hour for another company to be called. These people are awful careless and lack basic moral integrity. Eventually had to call 911 and get bailed out by the police tow. The guy who came immediately knew which company had left me stranded--they have a terrible local rep. Everyone local apparently knows these guys will hang you out to dry. Any posiive review on here is a reflection of an interaction with a kind employee --or more likely fabricated by the company to offset the slew of one star reviews. But you CANNOT trust these people. The company DOES NOT CARE about your safety and will pretty much mock you openly if you seem concerned. I have never left a negative reivew of anyone before. I felt a moral obligation to warn people away form this place because as the sun went down, and 16 wheelers blasted by 10 inches from my smoking car, and my phone battery died, these are the people who left me on the side of the highway to spend the night. read more

Used this service through AAA. The driver showed up and I said good morning and his response was I wish I never got out of bed. I hate this f'ing place. I said nothing and he continued his rant about how he has to work too much isn't paid enough. Doesn't get any time off hates living here and that it's a communist state. He went on like this the entire time. This was liberally doused with swear words and I was actually a little nervous. Not that I had a choice as it was through AAA but anyone using the service electively should be forewarned. Bottom of the barrel triple A subcontractor towing company. I waited two hours for the ramp truck to show up, and the kid said he would charge me $75 extra for mileage. When I asked him to grab the car from the rear instead of the front, he said that would be an extra $75. It only took ten minutes for him to move the car to another position where he could get it from the rear. That's $450 an hour. I called the office manager to register my complaint and she threatened to have the kid leave my car where it was. Very negative experience. Very rude office manager. read more

Absolutely horrific experience. Used our AAA membership for a battery/tow service and waited an hour and a half. Josh from Silver Cloud came and said (1) had no battery to replace (2) wouldn't jump our car (3) wouldn't tow us to where we were staying 10 minutes down the road after he said he couldn't tow it to the dealership because of "another call" he had. Totally unprofessional, we were told to "fuck off" when we pushed back about being towed 10 minutes down the road to the house we are staying in. He didn't do a single thing to help us and was so obviously unwilling to address any of the issues from the beginning. He left us completely stranded on the side of the road. When I called AAA they said that even though nothing was done we used our credit for the month and we would have to dispute it with them. Terrible quality and zero value. A staggering degree of laziness and/or incompetence. I simply needed them to loosen 6 simple lug nuts for me. Lug nuts need to be loosened before jacking a tire up off the ground. Otherwise, a wheel spins if you try to loosen a lug nut after it's jacked up off the ground. I would have gladly paid $200 to anyone to do it, but Silver Cloud said that they cannot loosen standard lug nuts. Silver Cloud hid behind it's claim that it cannot change a tire on an Airstream Travel Trailer. BUT I DID NOT ask them to change a tire. I didn't even ask them to jack up the trailer. I simply needed them to loosen 6 standard lug nuts. Which they've done thousands of times in order to change any tire they ever changed. read more

I made arrangements for my car to be towed to a garage for repair. I went in and paid the day before the tow and left directions for the driver with directions to my home. They arrived the next day (I was able to observe them through my cameras on my home) They brought the car to my mechanics where it was all witnessed by two parties and on security cameras that the driver rolled the car off the ramp in neutral where the ramp was too high and it cause the car to drop and cram the tail pipe into the pavement and it sheard off the bolts to the muffler. The tow driver told the mechanics that the company would paid for it. When I called Silver cloud to get paid for the damage, I was told that I would be called back. It has been 5 days and I haven't heard from them. ( I paid for service and got screwed.) Possible small claims court! read more

I was very impressed by the service I received. I woke up at my Cape rental with a flat tire. I tried to change the tour myself but the lug nuts were warped. So I contacted AAA and they assigned my request to Silver Cloud Towing. When Charlie showed up to tow my car to the shop, he decided he'd like to try to get the tire off to save me a tow. He did an amazing job by getting the striped/rounded lug nuts off and got the donut on so I could drive it to get the flat tire plugged. 5 Stars! read more

If you have a choice DO NOT use them . They towed a car 20 miles after a small accident that did not disable the car . Since they, SILVER CLOUD towing has the contract with Truo police they charge extra and doubled the fee to $625 for a 20 mile tow. And kept putting obstacles so we have to keep jumping through hoopes. The owner of the company told me off for questing double fees and 3 days storage when the car was not even there 48 hours . She said come get the keys to my business if you want, and asked me what I do for a living, then said I probablu charge too much for my service . I called the state and she is in the wrong on 2 charges , one for the exta day , but they charged another $132 for a pull out fee, for 20 feet from the back to the front lot they can charge another $132. Even though I paid a mechanic to come vouch for the cars road worthyness. Also they have the triple A contract so beware if you call AAA this nightmare will come to you. SILVER CLOUD is more like Dark Cloud rip off people if you can is the way they work in my opinion. read more

The sign is there because they come at all hours of the night and wake me up constantly. The business they're going to across the street has a huge driveway they could use. I recently had personally witnessed the professionalism of this company while in Provincetown, Massachusetts. The driver/operator arrived on scene whereby a USPS Truck was left after becoming stuck in the sand on a private road. He was both respectful and highly skilled as he strategized how to safely extract the vehicle from the sand without disturbing a split rail fence and adjacent camp site. He made good use of his skill and was able to pull the vehicle from the sand while doing zero damage to the USPS Truck and the fencing defining the path. After which, he used wood to fix the ruts in the sand, lifted a stroller over the fence so people to freely walk from the area... Too say this guy was GREAT and deserves applause is an understatement!!!! I would not hesitate to recommend them as I was simply a bystander and simply needed to pass along this unbiased review of the operator and this company- read more

After waiting almost 6 hours for these guys to show up and tell me for a 8 Mile AAA tow, the driver got here and looked at me and said yeah that's a big van you're going to have to pay us another $150 in cash I said no and I called AAA and while I was calling AAA he got in the truck and left . My car broke down on cape cod and i called GEICO to tow my car, they hook me up with Silver Cloud. I needed it towed off Cape, it's about 2:30 PM they call and say they'll get there for 3:45. 3:30 rolls around, they call to say that they won't be dispatching anyone as there's too much traffic on the bridge and they'll have to wait it out; okay fine (i check my GPS and there's a 9 minute slowdown) I ask for a time estimate they say 6PM. I find a ride home (we breezed through the "traffic"), 5PM they call to say that they're at the car, hooking it up i ask them how long until they get to Braintree, The guy says, oh we're taking it in the morning. Ok fine. I call them at 9 the next morning, when do you think you'll be my way i ask, They say the driver will be in shortly and will hook it up and be on the way. i call back at 10 for an update, "driver left 10 mins ago", call back at 11:30: "should be there shortly, also it's $210 because GEICO only covers 20 miles" (60 mile trip). I show up to the mechanic at noon expecting to meet the tow there, no sign of any tow. I call back at 1:30; "hey any updates for me?" They say the driver is dropping another car off and will be heading to the mechanic in the next few minutes. The car was finally delivered at 2PM. Also: i asked for a receipt of the tow to be emailed to me. Never got anything. TL;DR if you want your car towed somewhere within 24 hours, go with someone else. read more

Oil seal burst so I had to use AAA to get the car towed to my mechanic. It was actually a great experience - not something I thought I would say about a tow. My driver Charlie had a new, clean, awesome-looking flatbed truck, and he has a background as a mechanic. I asked him what he thought the issue was, and it turns out, he was right. Sadly the repair was an expensive one, but at least he got me ready to accept it and was a "free second opinion". I gave compliments of the truck and he mentioned how the owner takes pride in the fleet. I mentioned how much I appreciated his help, and he stated he truly enjoys helping people out. Silver Cloud driver broke my steering columm. Was towed because friend borrowed car and her license expired at midnight of her birthday She didnt realize this and was pulled over at 1a.m. (not drunk) and police had car towed. Nothing mechanically wrong with car then but... When we went to pick it up the steering column was broken. The driver had forced it. When we brought it up to management and owner he flat out REFUSED TO PAY FOR THE FIX OR HAVE HIS MECHANIC FIX IT! THEN TOLD ME HE WOULD OFFER A DISCOUNTED TOW TO OUR MECHANICS SHOP!
