I was shopping for souvenirs in Santa Fe New Mexico and stumbled into this shop. Spent some time looking at ceramics. When the sales rep started to haggle the pricing for ceramics - I felt like taking a walk to clear my mind before committing. When I tried to walk away the sales rep attempted to block me from leaving, accused me of just playing around / wasting his time, and told me to get out of the shop! (I just wanted time to research before I made a big purchase - price quoted was $600!) I was appalled! Talk about the worst tourist trap I've ever been to! I would not have given them a single star on this rating but forced to in order to write this review to warn others. Buyers beware! I did not feel safe and I'm glad I didn't give them any money! Also, I researched online (eBay) and they are significantly hiking up their ceramic pieces and prey on consumers who don't do their homework.

Best prices in Santa Fe! Clean shop with the friendliest shop keeper! We love him!!! Always bring friends here to shop and browse. I love that imported items are landed as imported. He knows the story behind everything. Love, love, love coming here!!!!

We shopped all day and we got best deals and friendliest service here by far. We will stop by anytime we are near Santa Fe.

I highly recommend because the Natives are licensed for permits to sell in Santa Fe. The jewelry is authentic and high quality stones and metals . I recommend paying with cash (service fee card) . I purchased quite a few pieces for myself and family for gifts.

Will return - shopped there daily -:)…read more Some calls it Native American Vendors Program of the Palace of the Governors @ New Mexico History Museum. It's a block away from our hotel. Vendors are mostly kind. Their self made products, mostly with turquoise are wonderful. The opaque, blue-to-green turquoise is a mineral. Persian stones from Nishapur (of Iran) is used as a guiding reference for evaluating turquoise quality. Navajo and Hopi tribes are known to produce high quality turquoise jewelry. The top two of the following 4 kinds of turquoise are widely used in Santa Fe area: Sleeping Beauty Turquoise  Kingman Turquoise  Bisbee   Royston  They (including the stores as well) prize Sleeping Beauty for its consistent sky-blue color. However, it's no longer being mined (?), while Kingsman has brilliant blue color, but it isn't as precious as SL due to the fact that they're still abundantly being mined. One native vendor explained how the program work: They've a committee, to determine the eligibility (sometimes vendor has to go before the committee to demonstrate their skills - like making a piece). The covered corridor has 63 spaces, each marks with a white number. If the vendors are more than the spaces, they'll have to do a lottery, which means a particular vendor may not come tomorrow. In General, a particular vendor doesn't come everyday.  On the last day there, I purchased a bracelet from a generous man, who explains the logos are his name and his daughter's. When I pay, he tells me a less amount voluntarily. I was a little hesitate. Although I like bargains and discounts, but I don't ask for it with small vendor, especially with the artist him or herself.  "Are you sure?" I asked. Actually I was not 100% sure what he had quoted me earlier.  "Yes, it looks so nice on your wrist." I paid what he asked. Thank you.

It holds the distinction of being the oldest jewelry store operating on Santa Fe's Historic Plaza. The offerings here are expensive, but in my opinion there's no guesswork on the authenticity and quality of what you're purchasing. Anytime I'm in town, I make it a point to come in and drool over the bolo tie designs, most of which I can't (or won't?) afford. Like anything else Southwest-wise, I find that it takes awhile to sort through the massive selections to find the precious few that I then obsess over.

I would like to start by saying a little Goodwill goes a long way and a little bit of friendliness makes a difference. Today I had the worst sales girl you can imagine in the store. She had no personality was not friendly was not warm. I feel bad that she had an eye condition, but she could not see she could not even read prices but overall, she was just not nice. In spite of all that because I do love the jewelry there. It is of a good quality and the prices are OK. I bought two pieces to be shipped to my home within the hour. I kind of changed my mind and went back in the pieces had not even left the store. They had not even left the cash register. They were still sitting there on top of a velvet tray. I was told no refunds and shown the store policy. That is not what I am complaining about. I understand there are policies what I am complaining about is the rudeness of the sales girl that I had. She literally turned her back on me and walked away. Did not say anything kind was not in the least bit understanding, and then rudely left mid conversation I will not have my back turned on by anyone after all these years of being a good customer I will never buy another piece of jewelry in that store. I do not recommend this store to anyone ever since my good sales girl Robin left. I miss her so much terrible terrible terrible personalities, and service.
