I like the people here who love the cats like I do. They are very good at making your pets feel important and treat return patients and their owners well by scheduling them in a timely manner. We have had 3 cats spayed here and their recovery time has been different each time though they all are feeling active in a decent amount of time. Incompetent office staff. No return calls or texts. Getting a paper written prescription once a month is a 10 call and two visit process. The vet that we had been seeing is okay at best. Doesn't really seem to listen to us. Has no interaction whatsoever with our dogs when we do have appointments. Same with the technicians. They act like we are just a number. My dog came here to be neutered, we got in fairly quick, and his surgery was scheduled next week, the veterinarian was wonderful and answered all my questions! The front lady at the reception desk, the lady with blondish hair, middle aged woman, is a bit unpleasant to deal with, she's not very friendly, and when I went up to schedule my dogs surgery, she seemed surprised he got in so soon, and almost 'annoyed'! I've taken my pets to Silver Creek for many years. They have always been solid. I just adopted two kittens after being pet-less for a while, and upon returning a couple years later, I feel they've only gotten better. Little things like their personalized email communication with both of my cats names. All their staff are extremely friendly and helpful. They made sure to answer all my questions and I can just tell they really care about my pets. Even when the lobby was busy, there were plenty of staff so no one had to wait long. My favorite thing is that they have a special cats-only exam room, which is freaking genius. So no smell of dogs to frighten my already nervous babies! The lights are dimmed, the exam table has a warm padded area, there's a Feliway diffuser and it's located at the far end of their building, so it's quieter. read more

Go somewhere else if you value your time and expect others to respect yours. I received a call at 8:15 in the morning, telling me they could see me at 9:30 AM that day. I arrive at 9:20 AM and check in with the front desk. At 9:40, I asked if we were going to be seen soon, and they said it will be a few more minutes. At 9:55, I asked once again what was going on with my 9:30 appointment. They said they still were not ready. They apologized and said they were extremely short-staffed, which is irrelevant. That's fine you are short-staffed, but don't call me an hour prior and say you have an appointment available. Simple as that. Waste of time. I gave them two stars instead of one because they did call me within 12 hours to set up an appointment. read more

We were patients of this clinic for 16 years. A week ago I called to speak w/the Vet who had treated our dog SYD. He was in a lot of pain and I just wanted to talk to see if there were any other options and or treatments for him. I called on Monday the 10th. I was told I would get a call back on Thursday. After 3 o clock I called and was told again the Vet had the message and would call me later. On Friday I emailed them asking that I please speak with the Vet. Syd was having difficulty getting up. Today is the 17th. I never got any response. Syd passed away this afternoon. He was 14 years old. In my opinion this place is inhumane and doesn't care especially if they would treat a dog who had been their patient since he was 8 weeks old like he didn't matter. They get no rating from me because their is not a negative mark. It makes me very sad and angry that this clinic would consider this ok. read more

Four months later at different better clinic she needed 6 extractions & jaw bone graft due to profound long term rot/deep decay & infection in lower jaw. Negligent & inexcusable care! read more

This is an experience that could've gone horribly wrong but fortunately, the professionalism of the staff at Silver Creek Animal clinic turned a challenge into a positive. They squeezed me and my 85 pound poodle in for a same day appointment at 4:40 p.m. to look at a painful ear infection. When we arrived, they were terribly backed up because they had to take care of an emergency animal that came in. We ended up waiting until 5:30 to get into a room. This caused me to be late picking up my kids, which would generally send me into a rage. What they did was amazing though... they were up front with me from the very beginning and let me know what was happening. They genuinely apologized for making me wait. (Genuinely, being the key word here.) When we did get in to see the doctor, which was technically after they were closed, I never once, felt rushed. They did a thorough job examining my Bruno and took extra good care of him. When I checked out, again I did not feel rushed. The front counter people had been having a heck of an afternoon but they were still full of smiles and took the appropriate amount of time to explain the medication for my dog. Every single staff member remained calm, engaged with their customers and friendly while they were working extremely hard to get everybody taken care of. I never got the feeling that anybody was put out or irritated or in a hurry. GREAT job to the staff for turning a challenge into a positive. read more

I think the vet staff that are at this location are pretty dang good, and that's what matters, so in that respect I recommend this clinic. What I think could be improved is the attitudes of the front desk office specialists. They are generally unhelpful, and rude most all times I have spoken with them. They all seem stressed out, and uninterested in being compassionate or kind. Hope this can change. read more

Has been super at meeting my cat's need in a crisis in which one vet suggested there was nothing that could be done, and a Portland vet who raped my bank account and then "presumptively" treated her in error. We recently had to say a very difficult goodbye to our nearly 11-year-old German Shepherd Chloe. She was the sweetest, smartest and most devoted dog; truly loved by all. Dr. Allie guided us through the last weeks after the cancer diagnosis with compassion and kindness above-and-beyond the call of duty. She was with us at our home, in front of a warming fire, as we all agreed that it was time to let Chloe go home. I'm leaving a review for their emergency hours vet. I have never actually been to this clinic but they are the only ones open for night hours. I called her with an emergency because my cat was having breathing issues, and I had no idea what to do. The vet on the phone was super up-front and told me that I should take my cat to a place in Salem because she wasn't equipped to take in an emergency that may need special attention (X-rays, ultrasound, etc.) Even though it was clear I wouldn't take my cat to her, she spent almost 20 minutes on the phone with me, asking me a ton of questions and also giving me directions to the Salem clinic. I can not express in a words alone how appreciative we are with Silver Creek Animal Clinic. We called them when out of town with our dog wheeler, and they walked us through some checkup procedures. They then told us there may be something more serious to find the nearest emergency clinic and take him in. Our dog ended up having internal bleeding and needed emergency surgery due to a blood clot rupture. Had it not been for Dr. Rideout's advice we would have lost our little guy. After that Dr. Rideout went above and beyond in my eyes calling me back a few days after the surgery to check up on Wheeler. We expected this from the emergency clinic that did the surgery, but when Dr. Rideout did this it showed the commitment and concern she has for our animals. Staff are very friendly. I've been impressed so far with the two doctors I've seen. My lab has allergies and up till know all vets said it was food. But the vet here thought it might be just normal allergies to grass, etc... so she put our lab on some allergy meds and she has completely stopped itching. We are going in for a follow up next week to see if the blotches on her skin have gone away, which I suspect have. read more
