The store owner, Chris, was so knowledgeable and welcoming when I called him. He gave me clear directions on how to find his store and that they could easily replace the batteries on 2 watches that we needed fixed. His prices were significantly cheaper than anyone else that quoted me, and the batteries on 2 watches were replaced in 20 minutes (at most). In addition, Chris was so generous and spent extra care to make sure that we were satisfied with the service (even taking an extra few minutes to deep clean our watches, free of charge!). I stopped by with my girlfriend to look at rings, and when we walked in, she did not feel comfortable and didn't want to stay. After I had exchanged a few words with the salesman, I too did not feel comfortable nor wish to continue the interaction. Another customer walked in, and after a brief moment, the salesman excused himself to go address the new customer. My girlfriend and I took that opportunity to gracefully exit and try to do so discreetly. This is when I realized we were locked in the store. The salesman had a key-fob that unlocked the door when a customer rang the doorbell, and in order to leave, he had to be the one to let you out. Unfortunately, I had to get the salesman's attention in order to leave. He asked if we were done talking with him, and after my "yes", he said, "well, before I let you out, do you want to come over here and get a business card?" Immediately, I felt trapped inside this store, wanting to leave gracefully and discreetly, but I couldn't. Let me be clear. I do not appreciate being locked in a store and not being able to protect my woman (even by simply leaving the building) when she feels uncomfortable or threatened. I have absolutely no intention of returning. I will add, before we went to this place, we went to Duffy's Jewelry, and had an absolute 10/10 great experience. They were very pleasant, professional, and extremely kind and knowledgeable.
