Well let me start off by saying my food was awesome drinks were good service sucked tho and I didn't know they don't accept America express I paid and tipped with my personal card for drinks but when I found out they didn't accept Amex and told the waitress would tip more if it was on my Amex she got super rude and Said well that's a new excuse haven't heard that one before I was blown away I tipped 40 bucks on a 100 dollar tab and just because I didn't Tip on my 14 dollar meal it all went south just a heads up to anyone going there they treat u like garbage read more

I am a hamburger lover, eat them most everywhere I go. NOBODY has made one better than here. Was on vacation from SC out that way at the end of May and OMG can Silver Dollar's cook make a BURGER! They said it was because of the 50 year old flat top grill and the drizzled butter before putting the hand made patty on was the reason..whatever it was, it was FAB-U-LOUS and I'm not even kidding! I would have had another on the spot, but was too full from that huge thing~ The beer was icy cold, the waitress friendly and helpful and everything about the place was great! SO glad we happened in~ The outdoor bar was happening too! Too bad I'm all the way over in South Carolina and probably won't be back! read more

The whole staff was so friendly to us, really nice people. This is a great place for locals and travelers alike. Great liquor and beer selection, we didnt have and food but it looked and smelled fantastic. They have very spacious indoor and outdoor seating areas and pool tables. We were only in town for two days and payed them a visit twice! read more

I put my time in here...and more than a little of my hard earned $$. Most of the time sitting in the main bar or outside, I found the area where they had the live music to be rather crowded on busy nights. Most nights during the summer are pretty busy here, especially before and after the rally in Sturgis as folks extend their road trips to take in charmers like Cody and Yellowstone. They have a good beer selection and the service may be a bit spotty but ehh it's still tops in my book. read more

Ok here's the thing...the burgers are pretty decent but as a bar if you want to have a good time as a non local then it's a complete let down.their version of "happening" is not what most of us would agree with.its nice enough and the bartenders are usually quite friendly and attentive but it's basicly the only bar in downtown cody( or all of Cody for the most part) and it's just not a busy or exciting place to be.seems people aren't really into bar drinking here and nor am I usually but damn... It's generally hard to get exceptionally good food in Cody to begin with, but this place advertises "the best burgers in town"... trust us, they're not. Even a slice of tomato is a dollar extra, and not even a refill on a coke. But that said, here's the real turn off. We walked into the patio dining area and stood there waiting to be greeted. Eventually this short caustic waitress walked past us and sarcastically snapped "sit anywhere" as if she was irritated we even came in. Later she walked past our table and slammed down a condiment basket and kept on walking. Clearly hates her job. At least she has one. The good news is that she was not our server. The bad news is that our server, while friendlier, never checked on us even one time after delivering the food, which Burger King would put to shame. A nice tip-off to lunch, was a third waitress that loudly spewed 4 letter words while joking with another table. Luckily there were no children nearby. Yep, an all around classy place. read more

We had burgers and chicken wings. Burgers were cooked to perfection. Onion rings and fries weren't greasy. I can't say enough about our server, Catherine. A member of our party is elderly and couldn't climb up on the high seats. Catherine open up the back room which has regular chairs. We were only people in the room. I don't understand the service complaints, I was treated just fine by the cool (Dare I say sexy?! Well not to their face!) guys working the bar. More importantly, the burger was fantastic, I mean really great, juicy and cooked perfectly (cheddar cheese and romaine lettuce!). Plus good beer; loved it! read more

Went there tonight based on all of the positive reviews. I'm in Cody on business until the end of October...so I have plenty of time to explore restaurants around here! They have a great happy hour which we have been to on a few occasions..but tonight is the first time we tried their food. I'm not sure why everyone is raving about the hamburgers...It looked and tasted like there were "fillers"...not 100% beef. I was thinking about having the onion rings, but so many people said they had "awesome, wonderful" french fries...so that's unfortunately what I ordered. They were cold stringy things :( I will try some other places...this place is only great for the happy hour drafts! read more

The smell of burgers lured us in to this comfortable establishment. It looked as if several tables had just been seated, but we received quick friendly service from a young woman who was working very hard to serve eight tables and several people seated at the bar. Swamped, Meghan courteously greeted everyone and addressed their concerns in turn. The cook had as many as eight tickets going at a time and handled it all with seeming ease. Ladies, just a note of precaution to go with others or have some pepper spray (if nothing else.) Fun cowboy bar glad they play live country music it's a bunch of fun especially when both sides of the bar are open. Probably the most entertainment you will find for Cody night life. Food is pretty good for bar food as well. read more

We've been on our Trip of a lifetime on motorcycles starting in Sturgis and visiting 22 National Parks and forestsbover the past month. The silver dollar was just okay. We got beers and burgers. The biggest reason for the ding in rating is that the burgers seemed to have been frozen patties. The fries were on the soggier side. The onion rings were definitely the best item we had. If you go, get those as a side! read more

If you're expecting to get unique delicious burgers, don't come to this restaurant on 4th of July weekend.. We were very unimpressed after learning this bar did not serve its normal menu during this time. My wife ordered a salad with chicken; the chicken was gray and tasted like rubber. Since the staff looked like they could care less from the beginning we did not waste our energy to complain. Fortunately I was not hungry for solid food so they get one star because the beer was cold. Excellent burger, highly recommend the Silver Dollar Burger. Didn't card at the bar even though we look like kids, however we opted for outdoor seating because it was a nice night, and they had a great, family-friendly guitar player outside. stopped in on our way from sturgis to sacramento, they had outside seating and let us bring our dog in. the waitress, molly was fantastic, also the waitress who took over for her, but i can't remember her name. we had the shrimp, onion rings, and fries. They were huge portions and delicious. they also had live music, which sounded good. I would not hesitate to stop in again and probably will on my next trip. read more
