I rarely do reviews but I really like this place and I order food from them frequently. First off, they have amazing soups. Won-Ton, Egg Drop and sizzling rice which I never had before, all great. Salty broth, great when you're sick. For food I like the chow main with chicken. Then I get the veggie delight and mix it in with the chow main. This place does not deserve the 3.1 rating it has. My family and I have been coming here for over 20 years. we no longer live in Everett but every time we are passing through we stop here. I've never ordered takeout, but the experience within the restaurant has always been phenomenal. The best thing that you can order is one of the family meals, they provide plenty of food and have many different options. The sweet and sour chicken was cooked perfect and had the tasty sauce on the side as I asked. The pepper steak was delicious with lots of tender beef. The chicken chow yuk was very tasty, and had a lot of bean sprouts and other veggies. My family have been coming here for close to 30 years. I've had nothing but the best service from the owners and they recognize and greet us warmly every time we come in. Now look, my tastes are different from anyone else's but based on 30 years, they are solid. When I come in and order Beef Chow Mein or Salt and Pepper Shrimp, I know what I'm going to get. Every time. Consistency is key and they deliver. I realized on this excursion, that I prefer the Beef chow mein over the House chow mein. I think since the House chow mein has shrimp and Chicken on top of Beef, that there are too many competing flavors. Just pick the meat of your choice and you'll be fine. The Salt and Pepper shrimp are an absolute staple in my outings. The potstickers are good, not the best, but good. The Szechuan Beef was tasty, though I believe my better half liked it more since she ordered a second order to go I will keep coming here until they close the doors for good, and I hope that's a long way off. read more

Ordered DoorDash to our hotel in Everett when we visited during the Tulip Festival. I'd been craving Chinese food because the only Asian restaurants I have near my home are teriyaki restaurants that try their best but miss every time when it comes to making Chinese. The food from Silver Dragon definitely hit the spot and was exactly what I was craving. The vegetarian spring rolls were crunchy and had fresh crisp veggies on the inside. The fried rice had just the right amount of soy sauce and the beef and broccoli was delicious as well. The broccoli were cut into nice bite size pieces and they were tender, not over cooked or too crunchy. The beef was also sliced thin and wasn't chewy but tender. We get meat, veg, rice, and noodles usually and I'm very satisfied with flavor, texture, and appearance. It's especially convenient. Delivery review. It's easy to see why these guys are so popular, especially when you scroll the reviews and don't see comments about looking for more-traditional, less-Americanized Chinese food. This place is very much about assimilating into the new country--they have all the battered and fried proteins and all that. They're rated super highly on the delivery apps, so we gave them a shot for the sake of variety. It was fine, but it took a lot of doctoring with spices from our own kitchen. BBQ Pork One of those happy comfort foods that ya kinda feel content to eat even if it's the bright red-and-white Americanized version, which this certainly is. It all seems to come from the same place, and all tastes the same, but if you love Chinese mustard as much as I do, this dish is always welcome on the table. Peanut Wonton Soup The closest thing to an interesting dish in the order. Big, big peanut flavors, especially as you get closer to the bottom. They flavor it with crushed peanuts in the broth, so the flavors go way up with the last couple bites where all the grinds settle. The broth is nice, a little thicker and richer than most wonton soups. The wontons themselves had plenty of flavor and held together well. Beef Mu Shu This one took about 6 different spices from the kitchen before it came to life, and then it was still just okay. Kinda overcooked and limp, both the veg and the beef. The wrapper had appealing crepe-like texture. Pad Thai This was listed under "Chef's Specialties," which swayed me in the split second before I picked it, but, come on...what was I thinking with this? It was a bunch of tired noodles out of a bag, with not much flavor aside from the Sriracha on it. Not many other ingredients. I'm supposed to dodge carbs except for the occasionally carefully-chosen awesome serving as a cheat. This was better than canned noodles, but not by much. Not a great choice. Overall, I want to stick to much more traditional Chinese stuff from now on. Not sure how I talked myself into this one. Their worst mistakes are that the food is boring, though--nothing was really messed up in the 4 dishes we ordered. read more

Okay. Hear me out. I don't usually submit 1 star reviews. Chinese food sounded good tonight. Ordered the honey walnut prawn and the "complete dinner". Order was picked up and delivered in a timely fashion via Uber Eats. But... Wow. I have never been this disappointed in an order. This was my first time ordering from silver dragon. And maybe my bar has been set higher for Chinese food that I.... ugh. Nvm. I can't make excuses for this. The order was one of the worst I've ever received from delivery. It was complete. Everything was there. But geez. When it states that the "complete dinner" comes with "egg roll, bbq pork, fried prawn, soup, and fried rice" you might expect there to be more than a single piece of pork, or prawn. But it literally means a single silver dollar piece of pork and a single prawn. I'm surprised it didn't come with only a single grain of rice based on the description. This would've been fine if it were called a "complete appetizer" at a fine dining experience (small portion), but calling it a "dinner" is simply misleading. Not to mention the "dinner" was uhm, not so fresh. Just the opposite. All of it was stale and barely warm. Except for the soup. The cup of egg drop soup (I think - I didn't get to select the type of soup. I even tried calling to see if there were options. No answer. Just voicemail). The honey walnut prawns was more of the same barely warm prawn in the complete dinner. Just covered in a dollop of mayo. The walnuts were plain. No glazing and not candied. I could only eat a piece. Can't do it. Spend your $19+ on honey walnut prawns elsewhere. I'm out $35 (not including the tip for the Uber) for this order and it's too late to try another place to get my fix for some decent Chinese. read more

I have to start by saying Silver Dragon is on my wife's and my top ten local spots for a quick sit down. We have been married 25 years so I like to surprise her sometimes so whenever we go to Costco down the street after all that walking and pushing and waiting, The Silver Dragon is maybe 2 blocks away and the perfect spot to recharge and take a load off. Great customer service and what ever you order you should try the veggie spring rolls they are delicious. We had the Seafood soup and the veggies delight. Everything was well prepared and very satisfying. Each te we go I try and order something different however my wife gets the veggie delight everytime. The tea they serve is a perfect pallet cleanser when switching from appetizer to main course. We are happy to see they are bouncing back from the pandemic. read more

My daughter ordered 4 dishes for take out last night for us to share at home. We ordered Mongolian Beef, Green Beans, Pork Fried Rice and Pot Stickers. I was really looking forward to enjoying all these items. Everything tasted awful, like eating 3 day old leftovers. Beef was pale and slimy, both the postickers and fried rice had no flavor except yukky. Green beans were ok, but had an over abundance of onions. The order was very expensive to boot and did not include any usual fortune cookies. Will not order from this place ever again. Super bummed at the food (and service) tonight. Bbq pork was good but only had 6 small slices for $10.95. Ordered 2 specials of meat and veggies with rice noodles. The rice noodles were literally pasted together in thick clumps, the veggies were a few bean sprouts and slivers of onions. Lame. The prawns were dry (only 5 of them). Not much flavor in the whole dish either. The guy that waited on us (I think he's the owner) was wearing a T-shirt, shorts and flip flops. 90degrees out today and you can't turn your AC on? Personality of a rock. Never asked how our meals were. Carried our water glasses by the rim (yuck). At least he filled them. The whole experience was bad enough to not give them a second chance. Best Chinese food! I've been going here for several years and it never disappoints. If you're new to this restaurant, definitely order the BBQ pork, spring rolls, bbq pork fried rice, and sweet and sour chicken. That's my typical order and everything is so delicious, even for the next few days as left overs. The almond chicken (not pictured) is definitely an honorable mention and is super good as well. We usually will try one bonus/random item on the menu as well, this time it was the kung pao beef which was good but we will try something different next time. read more

Tasted terrible, not worth the price. I ordered the curry chicken and chow mein. The noodles were soft and soggy. No flavor. The curry chicken taste like they didn't even use coconut milk. I think it's chicken breast but I can't tell because it taste like meet you would see come in a bag already cut, cooked and packaged for mass production. Just heat up and serve, you know the type. Very bland, needs a lot of help. No potatoes, texture is rubbery as well but... it's cooked? I don't know what that was or who's cooking it but it's not Chinese. Came in for lunch on Wednesday with my 9 year old for lunch. First impression was that is clean and well-run. We were greeted right away and seated in a booth. The egg drop soup was really good with kernels of corn in it. The tea was bland but perfect temperature. I asked for a recommendation and thus ordered the General Tsos chicken. It was great. Accompanying egg roll also delicious. The fried rice was bland. Would love to see them add peas and carrots to it. My daughter had shrimp chow mein but it was incredibly. I wouldn't order it again. For the two lunches (shrimp was a substitution) itcame to $19 something. Fair. Wish there was more flavor in some of the dishes but I think this is a place that is consistent but you've gotta dial in on what they do well. They do have good flavors, however, when I ask for garlic chicken, I expect to taste garlic. I never do. So sad. My main complaint and deal breaker is that the chicken is so over cooked that it is dry and requires a drink to swallow it. Their beef dishes, such as the Mongolian beef are also tasty, yet dry as a bone. Absolutely great flavor, but so overcooked that I cannot swallow it. Ordered peppered calamari and szechuan pork. The peppery calamari looked fried but was really chewy and soggy, and no peppery flavor to it. $13.50 for a 9 piece of soggy calamari.
