I wanted to get a thank you gift for my oldest child's teacher and found out that this place was a favorite. This has also become a favorite of my child's and I can understand why. My child has a strong passion for gaming of all manners and this store caters to it perfectly. I took my oldest out with me here for our first visit to purchase a gift card for his teacher and have him pick out something for his birthday, if there was anything. This store had a great selection and variety of merchandise and a dedicated area for table top games. This dedicated area does required a fee paid to access and staff can explain more if interested. The gentleman that help my child and I was so welcoming, friendly, and knowledgeable. In addition to purchasing the gift card, I also bought my child's first die set of his own. If you have someone who has strong interests in gaming - especially games like Dungeons and Dragons, Magic The Gathering, etc. - this is a great place to purchase gifts. Pros - Facilities are very clean, nice and the decor is awesome. Staff is friendly and helpful. Quite a bit of ppl who dress up and attend which is great to see. Meh - they charge $5 to sit, which isn't terrible, especially considering places like Snakes & Lattes does the same thing. Not a fan of that business model considering it's free at every other LGS in the valley, but it's not a deal breaker. Con - It's really hard to support a business when they charge $300/box for Lorcana boosters when the average rate in the valley is $145. It feels like they're taking advantage of collectors for having interests in a card game. This right here is why I won't ever return. Other items are priced slightly higher from others but it wasn't too bad. Lorcana stuck out the most since the markup was well over double. read more

While passing through the area, we came across this store. Very clean, well stocked and nicely organized. Place had enough product to scratch mostly any gaming itch that you may have. Looked like they had a pretty decent sized gaming area as well. Staff was nice - greeted us while entering, but weren't pushy at all. Overall, this was a nice surprise to come across. Just a quick rebuttal to the asinine review I saw here recently. Instead of writing a novel like others I'll leave it to this. SDG is a family friendly community that welcomes all walks of life. If someone was to be banned, it would be due to MULTIPLE transgressions that included a plethora of warnings to said individual or group. If someone continues to do the same things and gets spoken to, the only plausible solution is to remove them from the situation. Their selection is fine, blah, blah, Silver Dragon Games business model is not the store you see. The REAL MONEYMAKER is the $30/month subscriber model to play games at their location, therefore... While they have a standard code of conduct one would expect to not be a horse's patoot, their particular Code of Conduct purposefully limits who they think you can and can't talk to, even in channels they have no sway over. You CANNOT discuss your ongoing homegame as that is considered advertising. From one of the Owners of Silver Dragon - "Solicitation for Outside Games: We have previously addressed our policy prohibiting solicitation for outside games. Unfortunately, we have evidence that you continued to send direct messages to patrons from our Discord." Not in their personal channel, just talking by direct message to their patrons/(subscribers) gets you banned. Not for a crime, but for wanting to bring together a D&D group. Hardly a big deal except they don't get paid for your game if you are at home. You CANNOT recruit for your home game of RPG with things purchased there. You must discuss onsite gaming only. The walls have ears. They demand their blood money. You CANNOT discuss purchases from other stores, such as dice or alt-cover books.The walls have ears. You CANNOT meetup and discuss games not occurring onsite. The walls have ears. They demand their cut. You CANNOT discuss offsite gaming in a separate Discord channel or Direct Message or you are banned from their community when they find out. DMs also have to do their own advertising for any timeblock that pays the store. Who makes money from whom? Why DM there? Asking for clarification will get you marked as "confrontational behavior" Acquiescing... as was the straw I used to break the camelback...was confrontational too. Understand that under Silver Dragon's regime, you cannot have any games that are at home, not even a "half home/half store" model works for them. My first sin was asking questions. If you can't talk about a problem, that is going to compound the problem. They value your money, but they value your willingness to work FOR FREE much more. Not sure if they are a buissness or just a hangout spot for private dungeons and dragons games. Bunch of groups blocking most the assuming merchandise where you can't even see anything. By the appearance of everyone in there I don't belong and they made me feel that way being unwelcoming. When what I assumed was a employee as they was not dressed in any way to distinguish themselves from any of the others I was met with a rude what do you want. Like apparently I don't want to spend another minute in here. I was looking to buy some cards and play as I heard this was a place to do so. I asked do they do any card games and the response was "I don't believe we do" did not sound so sure like maybe they did not work there yet then why would they have customers behind the register. Besides the unwelcoming environment and rude service or lack of the atmosphere is not really good. It is loud and dark almost like you are in a bar. I think that's their goal tho to be like a tavern which is nice but not really a place for kids. And as for prices I seen none and did not buy anything to judge on that. read more
