They love their community and it shows. Their selection is mostly good just depending on what TCGs you're into. I would say their pokemon selection is probably their weakest, but, it seems like their mostly strive off of other TCG like MTG, etc. and them having pokemon is just them trying to broaden their selection for their customers who happen to be interested. I respect it. As far as value goes I think they are excellent. Their sealed product is often priced fairly in my experience. For example, most other LGS I've been to have riftbound spiritforge packs priced from $9+ while Orcs lair is about $6. which is market, as we know the market can change so this can to but this is a clear indication that they strive to be as fair as financially possible. They are also great when it comes to trade in, transparently their trade in percentage is low for my liking and they only offer in store credit, but for the size of the store and it being a single location honestly it makes sense. I can understand that especially when compared to the big popular LGS that offer similar trade in percentages. On top of that I have been offered on multiple occasions if I thought the trade in was fair and if I think they accurately assessed the condition of the card, on one occasion I did think they were offering me kinda low on a card and when I expressed that they looked into it a bit more and agreed and bumped it up. They are also the only LGS I have been to in this area that has told me that they're flexible on the sticker price reliant to TCG player. Overall, best most transparent and friendly store I have been to. Definitely my preferred store in the area. Pokémon, yugioh, magic the gathering, and so many more. It's definitely a small store. But it's almost as everyone knows each other at the weekly events. Their prices are good too! My child has a strong passion for gaming of all manners and this store caters to it perfectly. I took my oldest out with me here for our first visit to purchase a gift card for his teacher and have him pick out something for his birthday, if there was anything. This store had a great selection and variety of merchandise and a dedicated area for table top games. This dedicated area does required a fee paid to access and staff can explain more if interested. The gentleman that help my child and I was so welcoming, friendly, and knowledgeable. In addition to purchasing the gift card, I also bought my child's first die set of his own. If you have someone who has strong interests in gaming - especially games like Dungeons and Dragons, Magic The Gathering, etc. - this is a great place to purchase gifts. Calvin and Emmet were working, and they could not have been more welcoming. They invited me to sit at one of the tables so I could watch the game while sorting thru a bunch of boxes. I thanked them for not sweating people who are just trying to find some gold. One of the young men went and got me a cold water and we talked ball for a while as I continued to search. All in all it just feels like the old school shops when you could go in and look for what you like, instead of being pushed out of the way for people buying thousand dollar cards. One other thing I'd like to point out, is they will take a look at anything you feel like parting ways with. Saw a couple different people come in, and the staff gave them fair and honest pricing and advice, instead of belittling them or offering them well under comps. This place is also located in a cool part of downtown phoenix, so you can park for free near the park, walk to the shop, then check into some of the local eateries and bars!

I was surprised upon entering because this building originally housed an art coop. We checked it out anyway. Rip Valley sells sports trading cards, memorabilia, graphic t shirts, sportswear and sneakers. There was a nice lounge area. Street metered parking which operates until 10pm. The meters accept credit cards. Police patrolled. Paid lot parking as well.
