I'm please but concerned all at the Sametime. I call this company because my boss his son lost the keys to his truck. My boss assigned me to this task anyways I call silver eagle locksmith because we are looking for a company to unlock the snugtop shell on the back of the truck when someone answers the very first thing I told is we can't do that kind of lock. I explained to them that this is a very simple lock and the lock looks almost like a file cabinet. So the guy on the phone asks me if I have a picture. So I google'ed the lock number and find it and told him where to look. So he said he needs to ask the technician after a few moments he said sure we could help you. Here's where my concern comes in. They told me they would be here by a certain time and it was getting later and later. So my boss said hey what's the phone number to the locksmith I kindly give it to him. My boss gets back to me and says they will be here shortly. Upon arrival the technician tells my boss it's going to run x amount of dollars for the service call and x amount for the lock pick anyways here's the concern the technician says I'm going to charge you hourly for the lock pick so that's the service call plus the hourly for lock pick. So my boss says well I need it done go ahead and do it. The technician had the lock picked in 2 mins and when I say 2 mins it was more like 1 min maybe even a few seconds. My boss comes in the office very mad and tells me what happens and he wants to charge me for the full amount here's the money deal with it. So a few minutes go by the technician comes into my showroom and tells me how much it's going to be. I said seriously your going to charge us that much and it took you a few seconds to complete and he says yes your boss agreed to it. So I tell him how I feel that it feels unfair he really doesn't care. So I paid him he could see the frustration in my face and asks what's wrong so I kindly explain to him the concern and that I'm also a yelper after finding out that I was a yelper he says to me what will make me happy. I said to I really don't mind paying for the service call but an hour of labor when it didn't even take an hour. So he explained to me that he's entitled to his labor time and I said I understand that but it took just a few seconds can't you charge me like a half hour labor or something. The long I talked with him the long it felt like I was being scammed. So he told me I'm the owner of the company sir and to make you happy I will just charge you the service call fee. I wanted to pay him more because I understood labor times and such but all in all he ended up doing the right thing. The moral to the story is be careful. read more

What a great service. I called at 5pm on the day I closed on my house and they made an appointment for me first thing the next morning. They rekeyed my entire large house which included ornate antique locks, commercial style gates, broken door handles; you name it. I needed my house rekeyed and went with this place after reading the yelp reviews. I called after usual business hours and my call went to voicemail and I hung up figuring I'd call back in the morning. Several minutes later I got a call back (I didn't leave a message!) asking if I needed their services since I had called. They were able to come the following morning to install some locks and rekey the place in 30mins, but I'm sure if I needed them that evening they would've sent someone then. I just closed on a new home and was setting up appointments for the various services. I called Silver Eagle on Friday to re-key my whole home expecting to set something up for Monday. But to my surprise they were available right away. The two brothers were working hard picking locks and re-keying 9 doors in my home in the dark since electricity wasn't set up yet. On Saturday I had the "pleasure" of dealing with a locksmith company that tried to scam me once they arrived at my home. We have used Silver eagle for our business a few times now and they have always been prompt, courteous, thorough and reasonably priced. When I locked myself out of my house late last night they were the first company I wanted to call. They told me someone could be in my area in about 25 minutes. I've locked myself out of my car and home much more than I'd like to admit to all of you... And 25 minutes is an incredibly short dispatch time. As I was waiting in my car for the time to pass, Koby pulled up to my house! 25 minutes exactly! He was courteous as always. And even though I felt very silly (I told him this is the 3rd time I've locked myself out of this house), he made me feel better by explaining that this happens to people all the time, not just me! These guys are awesome. I needed to have our rental house re-keyed. The original lock on the front door was VERY old, and ended up breaking during the re-key operation. Instead of blame it on the "old" hardware, Koby admitted he was a little too rough when he was removing the original cylinder, and said the damage WAS HIS FAULT. Imagine that - someone who actually admits and takes responsibility when they mess up! Speaks volumes as to the integrity and honesty of this business. Koby ended up replacing all of the hardware, at his expense, so all I had to pay for was the original re-keying of the door. Just had a great experience with Silver Eagle Locksmith so wanted to do review before I got busy with other tasks! We like to do some handy work ourselves, but wanted a professional install of touch keypad deadbolt for front door, and wanted consult on couple other items. I did research on several companies, chose this one. Koby was able to schedule quickly, alerted us of earlier time slot when his schedule allowed, and was flexible on the day when I needed the later part of the window of time we agreed to. He was professional, knowledgeable, respectful, personable, and was very timely in completion of work (great on hot day and for my having busy schedule).
