My family and I went up to Silver lake on a random day for some fun. My dad and I were going on the zip line at Craig's Cruisers and saw a Frickn Chicken train. After we saw that we figured out where it came from and knew we had to go. We walked in, there was a band but we soon found a spot away from it. Then we walked up to the counter. My dad ordered a dozen wings. Turns out that was the best decision ever. Besides him trying to pay with a million dollar bill that we had found. Although the employee thought it was funny. (We paid with real cash, don't worry) Then almost immediately we got our food. Like ridiculously fast. We didn't even have time to go to the counter before it buzzed. Then we walked over to our spot with the view of the bumper boats and golf course and tried frickn chicken wings. They were the best things on earth. I love frickn chicken wings from the Frickn Chicken Shack. It's my new favorite resturant. Frickn Chicken is the best thing ever. It's juicy, cooked just right and just amazing in general. This place was amazing. Wings, wings and more wings. You order and pickup a couple minutes later. Took longer to get our drinks than get the wings. They were juicy and meaty with great flavor. No sauces needed but added a little to try it out. Drinks are cheap and don't forget, in Michigan you can bartend at 17 years old. It took us off guard ordering from the bar. It looks packed when you drive by. I was very worried about getting a spot with my group of 8. They had a live band and I am not a fan of bands after a long day but it we were able to find a spot quickly and away that it was pleasant. Didn't cost to much to feed our group of 8, the food came out quick and everyone loved there items! It's simple to order you can either do it through a kiosk or a person: The one improvement could be to get another pop machine as it as a wait and employees pushed around me while I was filling up my tables drinks. Eveyone liked the wings, I felt they were a bit over cooked but I was the only one who felt that way. Very good with lots of flavor! We will definitely go back when we are in that area! read more

We LOVE the chicken shack. We make a trip to eat there once a summer. You can order ahead, order virtually, or order with a staff person. We had chicken wings, baked potatoes, and rolls. Our order was done very quickly. We like to mix the honey bbq with the hot sauce to make a hot and tangy dipping sauce. The entire time we were there, there were staff people cleaning tables, cleaning sauce stations, and emptying garbages. The chicken wings are next level. So flavorful on their own and so juicy. We didn't grab drinks from the bar this time, but the prices are super reasonable. I loved that they had the Olympics playing on the big projector tv while we were there. When you enter you can choose a self-serve kiosk or to order at a register. It was very busy but only took a moment for our family of 4 to place our self serve order and pick up a buzzer. We asked where to get our cups and the employee said they would come out with our food. I hesitated because it was hot, my kids were thirsty and I assumed we would be waiting awhile. She immediately and kindly pointed us to where the kids could get water while we waited. I couldn't believe we had our food in under 10 minutes! Super impressive given the crowd. I got the 6 wings dinner with a side and for 14$ you'd think it would come w a drink but no. The wings were okay, but for advertising best wings ever well that's false. I wasn't too impressed and for the price, it dosent even come with sauce you have to do everything yourself including putting your own sauce from a dispenser, and cleaning up your table. Nasty food. Although they're known for their wings, I ordered the hot dog. It was cold and tasteless. The coleslaw was ok... and the fries were good but fries are really hard to mess up. I tried a wing and it wasn't that good either. The live music from 7-11 is the only redeeming factor. The food also comes in styrofoam boxes. We were in MI on vacation and went on the sand dunes ride & around the corner was this big outdoor, but covered shack. You get in line & order then find yourself a table and they bring your chicken to you once it's ready, so not a restaurant where you get waited on. The chicken was surprisingly good! It was hot, had great flavor and the wings were big. There were sides like French fries, baked beans, etc. They serve beer and they have an outdoor stage area where they said they sometimes have live music.
