Horrendous wait time!! Waited around 40 mins for some fried pickles, sandwich, and some wings. And I couldn't ask any workers where our food was because they were no where to be found. The food was pretty bomb tho, props to the chef. Thought not worth the time of the wait rather have gone some place else. They did give me free ice cream for the wait which is cool, and there was a fry that was like the biggest fry I've ever seen. Last Super Bowl I ordered the party wings from here. 85% of my food were chicken wings, the other 15% were chicken thighs. The thighs were cooked but they weren't a crispy crunch like the wings. Not exactly what I ordered but oh well, I was satisfied with my purchase. The food was ready for pick up shortly before pick up time This place is a bar, it has the feeling of the local watering hole, the waitresses try to keep the tables clean and ready to go for the next customers but as per usual as the local watering hole they are also sometimes wrapped up with serving the patrons at the bar. Totally unexpected four stars! My family and I were in Hart for July 4th weekend, and Kristi's was across the street from our Airbnb. We decided to check it out since many of the local restaurants were closed for the holiday and it was walking distance from our place. Zero expectations when we walked in but WOW! We were pleasantly surprised. When you walk in, don't be bothered if no one greets you. This is a local dive spot, and it seems almost everyone is a regular. We walked to a table and made ourselves at home. The waitresses greeted us on their way to other tables and brought our menus promptly. The salad bar looked unappetizing as we walked in, but it was actually delicious. Great selection of veggies, fruits, and soup. The greens were a bit wilted but I made do. Our waitress - a sweet high schooler named Ashlyn - was SUPERB. Just all around friendly and so accommodating. She took care of us, and made sure our food was tasty and our drinks were always filled. Ask to sit in her section when you drop in. We started with the build your own appetizer basket, and everything was so tasty. Although the fried mushrooms were too breaded, but the fried green beans were so good! My prime rib au jus was delicious - the meat was so tender! And my husband's steak was grilled to perfection. All in all, we had a great time and will likely return next time we visit Hart! read more

During our visit here from Southern California, we tried to visit several local dive bars and pubs in the surrounding areas. Came across this little place on our last night here as we searched on Yelp... a lot of bad reviews but be wanted to check it out. It was packed with locals having dinner and cocktails. The service was great, our waitress was sweet and attentive. We ordered a couple cocktails that came quick for as busy as they were but what a quant and fun little bar. Everyone looked as if they were having a great time on a Friday evening after long work week. We will definitely be back the next time we visit. read more

I walk in from the Airbnb down the street 100 steps. Order a drink and leave the gal a $50 an ask if it's ok that I let my friends into our living quarters for the night. She grabs my money and says sure and sets it on the rail of the bar. I walk back to the place and 10 min later walk back in and the owner is chewing my butt for walking out with my drink when I literally told her employee exactly what I was doing. We tried them after going up to see a silent movie within walking distance. The first table we sat at, the seating was so lumpy we moved to another table, but what really bums me out was that I asked for my burger to be cooked rare and the waitress gave me the standard line about government regulations (which is interesting because there are still places that offer Tar Tar on the menu). I just said to cook it as rare as possible - I didn't argue. When it showed up, it was literally crispy on the outside and had all the flavor burned out of it. Out riding for a color tour and found this little gem in Hart, Michigan. One of the specials for lunch was goulash for $5.50. Both my friend and I ordered it. My friend is a goulash snob and usually only likes her own. She rated this a 10 and I must say it was yummy. Served with garlic bread and a small dish of corn. We came North on an adventure to see the dunes and after a while we got hungry. I really wanted a steak. My son and I got our meals with salad bar, which had all the usual things on it. Our server was a bit slow, and the extra gravy I asked for never arrived. My son's burger looked very good though and my steak tasted ok (if a bit fatty, but it was prime rib, and that is usually fatty). No horseradish was served, and they didn't have a lot of choices for beer on tap, so we stuck with water. We were offered free ice cream for dessert (I suppose because it was Memorial Day) but we were handed an ice cream bar on a stick, which seemed weird. It's kind of a relaxed low key kind of place. Found this little gem because others took the time to review Kristi's. First off let's talk about the place. It's a come-as-you-are kinda joint. No need to put on your Sunday best for Kristi's; which we loved! No pomp and circumstance. The decor is eclectic and very casual and the staff treats you like family. Our little doll of a waitress was KayLynne on the first night and she didn't miss a beat. Got everything right from the get go and with our group, can be a challenging task. We can be quite particular. The meals ranged from prime rib to shrimp to sandwiches. Everything was very good and with the exception of the mashed potatoes, all homemade. Said bar and soup with every salad and the soups were excellent! I'm a soup nut, though. Portions were beyond sufficient and we are all big eaters; so no easy task. Kristi and George are like old friends you haven't seen in a while and they're very hands on. Kristi is a pistol with a ton of energy and a great attitude. George has a smile on his face and you can tell they love what they do and why they do it...their customers!! Be prepared to tip well because not only do they deserve it, but the prices are more than affordable. Make sure you visit for breakfast, too! Homemade goodness - buffet style. We were in Hart for one night and needed something within walking distance from the campground. At first, it was fine when all of the tables weren't full. Once the place was full, there was no social distancing between tables and half the waitstaff were wearing their masks improperly. After our food order came, our waitress was a rare sight and we asked for a couple of things that never came but she dropped off a beer that we didn't order. Eventually, we got boxes for our leftovers and asked for the bill. After 15 minutes we asked another waitress if she could check on it - not sure what happened with that. In total, we waited over a half-hour for our bill as did others in the restaurant. Only giving it two stars because the pizza was decent, but the service and COVID response was terrible. read more

They should change their name to Poor. Horrible service when a group of 8 of us had lunch here this past Wednesday. We sat down and told the waitress we would need three separate checks. She snippily said that was against their policy but she'd do it anyway. Then she brought us glasses and a small pitcher of water. The water served about half of us but the waitress didn't return to refill it. So I took it up to the bar for a refill, served the rest of our party, and then got another refill for those had drunk some water. When our food arrived, the waitress kind of thumped a few plates down like it was a huge inconvenience or something. The food actually wasn't terrible -- mostly just bad, bad service. read more
