I first visited Silver Mirror Facial Bar in DuPont Circle as part of a YelpDC event. I loved my facial soo much that I returned to that location with my cousin and I purchased memberships for us. I have now visited Silver Mirror Facial Bar in all DC locations. My son has visited two of the DC locations and enjoyed his facials as well. When I told him there was a location in Miami, he immediately agreed to getting one. I visited the website and attempted to make an appointment, which seemed successful. I selected: Me and ONE guest. However, once we arrived, it appeared that the appointment was just for me. The young lady who greeted us had to cancel the appointment and make one for us later in the day. Bummer. IDK if it was me or the website. I sometimes have issues with creating an appointment when it's me AND other people. We accepted our new appointment time and left to wait elsewhere. Once we returned, we were greeted upon arrival and offered water. It was a short wait for our esthetician and our facials soon began. Both my son and I selected the Signature Facial due to time constraints (on Silver Mirror's part. They had no availability for TWO 50 minute facials at that time) As per usual, our facials were wonderful!! My esthetician worked her magic on my face and left my skin feeling VERY dewy and hydrated. The facial was VERY relaxing and I could have went to sleep right there on the table!! Although, my son was taken back before me, my facial was completed before his. I love seeing him enjoy treating himself (on my dime of course!) to great skin self-care. His skin always looks so much healthier and smoother when the esthetician is finished. I came here earlier this week and had the absolute best experience ever. They literally rejuvenated my skin and made me feel like I was 23 again. I made this appointment pretty last minute but I was pleasantly surprised to find that they had availability for the times I was looking for. I decided to street park because I found a quick and easy spot and just walked over -- once I arrived the check-in was so seamless. I filled out some info on the iPad and just sat down for a couple of minutes as I sipped on sparkling water and chatted with the receptionist. She offered to do a skin exam on me and of course, I agreed and was happy to hear that my skin is actually doing great -- woohoo! Once it was facial time, I disconnected, closed my eyes and let my skin healer do her thing. From extractions, to masks, to massages -- she really knocked it out the park. 10/10 experience! I left there feeling dewy, glowy, hydrated, rejuvenated and most importantly so very happy with my skin. I cannot wait to go back! read more

I tried this place after going to an opening event at the other location in Coral Gables. This location is closer to me. I made a reservation online fairly easily which was nice and I was able to get an appointment for the same day. I picked the person with the latest appointment, I was happy I booked with her. Carina, was knowledgeable and did a good job of providing me with recommendations for my skin and convinced me to change an add-on as she thought it wasn't right for me. I liked the facility it was very clean from the lobby, to the bathroom, to the facial space. I didn't love that there's only curtains in between clients so you can hear other clients conversations. I also wasn't happy with lack of parking. It is fairly difficult to do so in the area, and although there is a garage right next door, they don't validate. read more

After my second experience having a reaction to a their signature facial, Dana the Miami Operations Manager called me to follow up. She offered me a calming facial to better work with my sensitive skin and to help assess what might be causing the reaction with my skin. I made an appointment in the fall but then got sick right before during flu season and had to cancel. Dana was very patient with me as I took some time to circle back on their offer after cancelling due to personal circumstances of moving but she checked in with me via email in the new year to re-offer this calming facial. I took her up on their offer this past week and had a calming facial with Karla. Karla was very helpful to explain each product and why she thought it would be good with my sensitive skin. We talked a bit about what active ingredients are in my current products I use at home. She was very knowledgeable and had a great gentle touch with my face and when massaging my scalp. The treatments were cooling and soothing and felt good on my skin. This time I thankfully did not have any adverse reaction to the treatment. It still for me maybe wasn't the most fully relaxing experience I'd prefer from a facial just because my neighbors next door this time happened to be loudly talking and laughing towards the end of my treatment, but as many others say, this is a facial bar so the experience is just a bit different. Really appreciated the team reaching out to me to try to root cause the issues with my original treatments and offer something that works with my skin. If you do have very sensitive skin like mine, the Signature just might not be the way to go even if it's customized and the calming treatment may be best after all. read more

I did the signature facial which involved many steps-- to be honest, I was so relaxed that I had no idea what was going on but I left with a clean and fresh face. Rachel, my esthetician, was great! It is genuinely a wonderful place with great people everywhere. The front desk receptionist was a joy to speak to and so friendly. She made you feel welcome. I got my eyebrows threaded by Melissa and she was gentle and did a fantastic job. They were exactly how I wanted them but better. I had the antiaging facial with Nidia who is informative, explained everything and left me shiny and new. I would definitely request her every time. She did a great job. They make suggestions which you aren't pressured to follow. If you want to buy a suggested product, buy it. If you don't, you don't. They mentioned monthly membership which I am going to look into. The NYC Silver Mirror I went to was amazing -- Orit was the absolute best! Literally no complaints and I'd definitely go back to that location. I was hoping for the same experience in Miami, but wow... I was led astray. I booked the Esthetician's Choice facial with the plan of signing up for a membership (which should be $139 with membership or $169 without). During my treatment -- after the process had already started and while I was trying to relax -- my esthetician immediately started pushing a $279 facial on me. The only reason I even knew the price was because I asked. Had I not asked and just assumed it was included in my membership plan, would she have told me it was an extra $100?? When I said no and asked for the service I originally booked, she tried to push another add-on for +$50. When I declined again, her whole vibe shifted and I felt super uncomfortable. But it didn't stop there. At checkout she recommended two products, I politely said no, and then the front desk pushed them on me AGAIN. While I was checking out, I overheard my esthetician in the back speaking negatively about me because I declined the add-ons. And just a heads up -- a lot of these reviews are incentivized. I saw a sign at the counter offering $10 off for leaving a Yelp review. So this ^ is the real experience you're going to get, just so you know. read more

I was offered water, seating, and my session began soon after. My aesthetician was kind & so informative. A small disclosure before I begin: I've had 3 or so facials and they've all been at spas. I've never been to a "facial bar". The location in Brickell is convenient as I live about a 7 minute walk away. Upon walking in, I checked in on a tablet and was greeted by a warm, friendly, receptionist. The atmosphere was bright and white but not sterile-feeling. There are 2 comfortable chairs to wait in and a small selection of products to peruse. As I was waiting, I could see someone getting a facial in a room nearby. The "rooms" aren't really rooms, they're sections defined by sheer curtains. The lack of "rooms" and the sheer curtain is what I would consider to be a pain point, but more on that later. My esthetician led me to one of the "rooms" in the front. I couldn't tell how many there were in total, but I'd guess 6-10. I laid down on a heated table and there was a small blanket which only came up to my wrists. I'm only 5'4" so you can imagine how short the blanket was. The blanket was quite comfortable but I wish it had gone up to at least my chest or shoulders (given there weren't any products applied below my neck). The facial itself was nice and my esthetician gave me complimentary microcurrent and red LED since it was my birthday (those are both parts of the anti-aging facial; I got the seasonal hydrating facial). She asked me what I was currently using in my routine and explained each step of the facial she was doing. As I was laying there, I could hear every word of the conversation that the esthetician and client in the "room" across from me were having, and any time I opened my eyes and looked slightly to the right I was staring up at hallway lights. I wish the curtains had at least been opaque, and/or my service was done in one of the areas further down the hall rather than right across from another client. After my facial, my esthetician (Carla) recommended 3 products which I didn't purchase but based off of the looks of them, they were good choices. She also recommended a different type of facial (sensitive skin) instead which made sense. The receptionist recommended another facial 1 month out which I chose to forego. Overall, a pretty good experience. The prices are more affordable than some spas in the area so you save a bit by going to a facial bar. I may be back soon or I may save it for another special occasion. She did get some blackheads I didn't know I had, so I can see how it might be important to go back for extractions (even though I have pretty clear skin, I still miss some!) read more

This was the first silver mirror in Miami. I went to after having a 4+ year membership at the flatiron location in New York. I get the signature facial or the seasonal hydrating depending on how my skin is feeling but they always do a great job catering it to my skin specifically. Great receptionists here. I am extremely chatty during my facials, and she was down to gossip with me for the whole time without disrupting everyone else.
