Instructions were it was going to be general anesthesia and not to eat or drink past midnight. Two different people gave instructions, last week. Now they claim the appointment was just a consultation. Never have I heard such instructions for a consultation. Now, it's a local and must wait for an opening. The staff are not clear on what is going on and some are even snippy, others in the waiting room were talking about the same issues. Ask lots of questions and have them right it down or email your appointment and what it entails. This takes away their ability to blame you and puts it on them, when something isn't right.

They offered complimentary amenities! Not basic stuff either First time I've ever had this level of service at a dentist, or any doctor. Erys was my hygienist. He was kind and explained everything to me. You can watch Netflix, Hulu, etc while waiting. You have your own dedicated TV. Dr. Villena saw me and put together a good plan for needed dental work. They have special technology to visualize bacteria attacking the teeth; the tech shows tooth health at each layer. Deering Dental is superior to a typical dental office. Very impressed. Flexible pricing with a discount for paying up front, in full. At the end, they gave me a welcome package. I needed to expedite my dental plan due to a filling from a (good) prior dentist coming out recently. I came in on June 9th for an evaluation. Velma--another hygienist--was thorough and nice. She and Dr. Pinto explained the urgency of my situation. They gave me specialized products to get my oral health back on track. Today, Dr. Pinto and Velma saved my wisdom tooth. Timeline summary: - October 29, 2025 - I returned for my third visit to complete and address ongoing issues following prior treatments. - October 30, October 31, November 1, and November 3, 2025 - I communicated concerns via WhatsApp regarding sensitivity, discomfort, and issues with my mouth. - November 26, 2025 - I sought an independent evaluation at Mint Dentistry, where concerns were documented regarding veneer condition and restorative issues. I was referred to a higher level of care due to the complexity of findings. - January 15, 2026 - I sent written correspondence outlining my concerns. - February 2026 - I followed up with certified written notice, after which your office responded. - March 2026 - I provided photographs, external clinical documentation, and additional information as requested. Patient impact and treatment experience: - I traveled to Miami on three separate occasions for this treatment. - During the course of treatment, my teeth were shaved/prepared and left unprotected for approximately five days without adequate temporary coverage. - During this time, I experienced severe sensitivity and discomfort, was unable to eat normally for several days, and was unable to work for approximately three days due to the pain. - I had to travel with exposed teeth in this condition, which caused significant distress and functional impairment. Medical findings: - March 17, 2026 - I was evaluated by Dr. Alberto Lazaro, DDS, at North Texas Dental Surgery (prosthodontic-level care). - Clinical and radiographic findings documented multiple defective restorations, including: * Open margins, overhangs, and over-contoured veneers * Dislodged and chipped crowns * Secondary decay * Gingival inflammation and bleeding on probing * Radiographic evidence of pathology - The specialist concluded that the defective restorations were contributing to plaque accumulation, inflammation, and my ongoing symptoms. - A comprehensive full-mouth rehabilitation was recommended due to the extent of the defects. When she expressed concern to her doctor, Dr. Bustillo, she was essentially blamed for the issue. Mind you, my grandmother has worn dentures for over 20 years and recently underwent heart surgery. She can barely speak above a whisper, yet they accused her of being "nasty" and ultimately KICKED HER OUT of the office. We are talking about an elderly woman who deserved patience, respect, and proper care not rude treatment and dismissal. The entire experience has been heartbreaking and extremely unprofessional.
