This was my daughter's favorite dentist until the new doctor. First our appointment was put off 3 weeks because the computer was down. We finally get in and the New doctor seems money hungry. Before we even get our cleaning she is telling us what work my daughter needs done. Finally after being here over an hour, and receiving a treatment plan, we get to see the only dental hygienist in the office. She is absolutely amazing! Very gentle and caring. I wish the dentist had better people skills. I called for weeks and emailed asking for a price for the work they wanted done. No one would return my calls or emails. No work was done because no one would ever call me back. Fast forward, we are moving my daughter to my current dentist and my current dentist who I have gone to for 15 years called me saying Silver Ranch refuses to call back and give records. We laughed. The main reason we are leaving is because they won't call me back. I call Silver Ranch and surprise surprise the computer is down again. Last time we had an appointment the computer was down. Oh and to top things, they stole my money. The first time my daughter had a cavity fixed, they charged us for nitrous that we did not use. They never refunded it. Will never go back. Have gone to this office for years but experiences have gotten worse and worse since they changed dentists. Dr Cartwright pushes for extra services that they say your insurance will pay, then bills you when they don't. And today was the last straw. I was separated from the 2 kids I had with me bc our appts were back and they wanted to process us through more quickly. Dr Cartwright refused to see my son for exam or cleaning when he was unable to tolerate X-rays due to sensory issues (which are documented in his chart, and she has experienced before with him). She threatened that he could not have his cleaning if he didn't have "a complete" exam which includes X-rays and the pano X-ray would not suffice. When we did not let them coerce him into further attempts, she refused to see him and told us to reschedule. After mine and Claire's appts were over, she sent her assistant to me with a referral form stating that my son is a behavioral problem and needs to see a pediatric dentist (which our insurance will not cover due to his age). Never speaking to me about it at all, just sent someone else with the form and I had to ask what it was all about. Even in speaking to me, the front desk continued to use the terms "uncooperative" and "refusing to open his mouth." I find it impossible to believe that they have never treated adults with similar issues or that it should be expected for anyone to "open their mouth" when commanded if they have already said they are uncomfortable with it and unable to do it. I'm glad that my son was able to advocate for himself when separated from his responsible adult and I'm so disgusted with the farse of care we received (and sure will be billed for) today. read more

This office should be shut down! Customer service here does not exist! I have had a ridiculous amount of issues with the front desk lady and her messing up my appointments. The latest experience I've had was her rescheduling mine and my husbands appointment from 11/16 to 11/23. We get there at our appointment time 8am, which I have several confirmation texts for, and the office is closed. I call and get the remote team that confirms that yes my appointments are at that time but the office is closed. So I wasted gas and time to go there and the office is closed. Now Monday I call, I have to call 15 times for someone to finally answer and tell me that they are just filling in for the other receptionist that's out. Now this person doesn't know anything either. She proceeds to hang up the phone when I'm demanding answers as to why my appointments were scheduled on a closed day. NOBODY at this office ever knows anything and they are all completely useless and the doctor is super rude and messed up 2 filling that he did on my teeth. So PLEASE save yourself some time, money and energy and find another dentist. read more

The worst customer service ever! The lady behind the desk is very unprofessional and rude! Wants to push treatment plans and get your money! But can't call to let you know surgeons schedule changed! And then wants to get rude. Twice they have quoted incorrect prices! Thank God I called my insurance myself. Damn shame to lose patients based on your front desk. I've been going here for less than a year and i'm on my 3rd Dentist. The previous couldn't/wouldn't meet billing quotas. My first visits were for an implant. My first visit for the implant after the extraction was a failure. The couldn't find a titanium screw that would fit the implant. Then the first tooth was too made big to adjust to fit. I went through the whole remolding and waiting for a second one. They were able to get this one to fit but left the surface rough and gritty. Last visit and third dentist and they said I need 2 caps at $1500 each and deep cleaning for $550. I made the appointments. When they called to confirm I asked them to change the procedure to just a routine cleaning. I was told that all I needed to do was tell them at check in. Today I did that after taking off work. They refused to clean my teeth. Time to find a new Dentist for me and my family. The staff have been nice but their business model doesn't work for me. read more

BEWARE OF THIS SHADY DENTIST/PRACTICE!!! I came in for a consultation and work to be done on a chipped tooth from a bicycle fall. I made sure to call my insurance company ahead of time to understand what my financial responsibility would be for any possible scenario. From the beginning of the visit, Jina George (the so-called DDS here) was trying to upsell the veneer option, something that is not at all covered under my plan. I asked about the crown option, which is covered and would cost me less than $300 out of pocket. She immediately used a scare tactic to try and discourage me from it. I ultimately said I would go with what is financially best for me - in this case, the crown option. The rep responsible for insurance verification came by to discuss financial responsibility for either situation, one of which (the crown option) was inconsistent with what the insurance company told me prior to the visit - MORE THAN DOUBLE THE COST! I even called the insurance company on the spot to make sure we were all on the same page and the dental office knew what my insurance coverage was. The rep in the office, the insurance rep on the phone and I all were on the same page after the call. It was going to be $270 for the crown + $50 for build-up + $5 copay + $10 PPE fee, totaling $335. I EVEN SIGNED OFF ON THIS WITH THE REP IN THE OFFICE AT THIS POINT! Jina George then had the nerve to come back and tell me that there would be additional codes she would have to bill for build-up, AFTER I ALREADY SIGNED OFF ON MY FINANCIAL RESPONSIBILITY! I lost it after this and told her she was shady and that she was trying to milk as much money out of me as possible with unnecessary billing codes. She thought she could get me to pay out of pocket for the veneer, and now she thought she could bill unnecessary codes for her to make extra money. Little did she know my background is in medical claims, and that I know this is the epitome of FRAUD! She will be reported to the Texas State Board of Dental Examiners and I hope her license is revoked. BEWARE OF THIS FRAUDULENT, MONEY-HUNGRY DENTIST! read more

Silver Ranch keeps sending me bills for myself and my husband from October 2020. At the time, there was a Manager named Sally who told me that she had gotten these bills fixed and that my balance was $0. Then I stopped getting bills; however since July I have started getting bills again that shows that I owe $176. My insurance tells me that I don't owe anything. I was never even seen at the dentist on 10/20/20. We are only responsible for a copay of $5 for cleaning, which we paid at the visit. I have been calling the number on my bill; which is the Spring Green location; however my bill is coming from Plano, TX. I have been talking to Judy who tells me that she does not have a contact for the Dallas office except an email for them. She emails them to question where they are getting an outstanding amount because she sees that we owe $0 in her system as well. Nobody gets back to her and then I get a bill every month and I call her again, she emails billing again, doesn't hear back. The saga continues every month!!! Due to the unpleasantness of this Spring Green office, we changed dentists and even filed a complaint with our insurance company regarding their false bills and unfriendliness, trying to over charge for cleanings. I do not recommed Silver Ranch Dental!! I would like someone from Corporate to contact me regardng my bill; the account number on the statement is 1890820 and would like an updated statement showing my bill as $0!!!! read more

Edit: I have increased my rating of this office because I was actually able to schedule an appointment today, and the administrator I spoke to seemed very friendly. Hopefully, this is a sign that the customer service at this office is on the upswing and we may continue here as I was pleased with the dental services received. My family switched to this office earlier this year when our prior dentist stopped accepting our insurance -now we are looking for yet another dentist. My son and I received exams and cleanings at Silver Ranch, and we had a good experience. The staff was friendly and we really didn't have any substantial complaints... I received a screening that I had declined and was charged for it, but I chalked this up to a miscommunication -no big deal. I wanted to continue with this practice, yet I haven't been able to, and this is at the core of my mediocre rating of Silver Ranch Dental. I don't know if management changed recently or what, but the admin situation here now is deplorable. I haven't been able to get someone to answer the phone during office hours in weeks, nor has anyone returned my voicemails. I received a text message, one day in advance, canceling appointments for me and my son that had been set over 6 months ago. I haven't been able to reschedule because no one answers the phone, no one responds to messages. My daughter and husband also had appointments unceremoniously canceled via text before. I didn't make a big deal of it at the time because I thought it was a one-time mishap.... now, this seems to just be how this place operates. If you're going to randomly cancel appointments, at least be available for rescheduling! It's unfortunate because the doctor and hygienist seemed good, but who knows if we'll ever be able to see them again. Unreal. read more

When giving a review, there should be 2 components so its not fair to give them a 5-star on staff and a 2-star on billing. The care was phenomenal, which most expect when dealing w/ healthcare and especially when your kids (5yr old & 7yr old) are involved. They saw us right away, did a great job keeping the kids relaxed and keeping us informed. They were pretty standard across the board as far as patient care. 2-Star: The billing on the other hand is a nightmare. We are still receiving bills from a treatment almost 10months later even though I had paid all the bills sent, including a balance statement of $0. We are residents in a well-to-do community, both of us work in healthcare, and there is no reason why they sent us to collections 3mos later without even sending us a bill 1st!!! After I called, they stated that they had been "fighting the insurance" and has a remaining $30 something left remaining. We never got any bills from them!! When I asked for a history of bills mailed, they claim they sent 1 bill (which is the same time we received a letter from a Collections company). If Silver Ranch Dental wants to stay in business, they need to reconsider their billing strategy. There is too much competetion around Katy for them to loose clients b/c they send bills at the same time they send you to collections. It's almost every person's nightmare when you open a letter from a collections agency over a bill that you KNEW NOTHING about. It irks me to have any outstanding balance (as most people are), so SR Dental disappointed us in regards to maintaining customer loyalty. It would be nice to have received a bill stating we had charges that the insurance company did not cover rather than getting surprise notices of escallation. The reason collection agencies exist is for escallation resolution, but we never even got a bill to allow us to pay. If you went here, call back every month x 1yr so that you don't get escallated without any notice. Sorry SR DENTAL, we won't be going back. read more

I should have looked at the reviews before I walked into this place. The clinical staff is very nice. However, the management and billing staff is terrible. They push on maximizing you for costly out of pocket treatments. They have a tendency to talk to you like you are stupid, always came up with an excuse if they made a mistake with scheduling, treatment plan or your bills. They have a good dentist but I walked away because I can't deal with a practice where patients best interests are not central to its management. read more

HORRIBLE customer service, very rude, I wouldn't waste your time going to this practice as they obviously need more experience dealing with customers. This is an update to my previous complaint after their business office made it sound like I was dreaming. I just went in for a teeth cleaning. They required xrays and an exam. The dentist did not start with an exam of my teeth after the xray. She started with doing mapping where they evaluate your gums at the base of your teeth. In this process you are not supposed to probe the patient with the pointed end of the instrument because it is very sharp. You are supposed to use the side of it to push gums down next to teeth to evaluate. This dentist poked me several times with the pointed end, and when I jumped...claimed it meant I was overly sensitive and needed deep-cleanings which are expensive. She made the gums bleed. Poking me with the sharp end made it bleed and cause pain. She didn't think I knew the difference but I did. I didn't say anything since she was in my mouth. I knew exactly what she was doing and why. I went in for a teeth cleaning. She refused to do it until I agreed to a several hundreds of dollars of deep cleaning with followup every 3 months!!! She also never examined my teeth or existing fillings. She basically dismissed me when let her know I wasn't happy. Of course, they still charged me. I ended up going back to my prior dentist who said she didn't see a problem and couldn't understand the problem. NOT ethical...but they are not going to admit to it!! She should be reported to the Texas Dental Board of Examiners especially since she hides behind comments saying it is illegal for her to clean your teeth if you don't get the deep cleaning she recommends. There are several reviews including some hidden by Yelp requiring you to hit a link to see, that mention the same thing!! I can only imagine how many people pay for this that aren't needed and how much more the practice makes dishonestly. read more

Dr. Wallace is a good hearted dentist. He has 2 receptionists. The one who does billing - be careful of her! Ask her 20 questions. She will try to rip you off. Try to prescribe things not needed.
