Went to my general dentist on Tuesday (11/28/23 at 12pm) who confirmed everything I thought and they referred me to this office (per my dentist I needed a emergent tooth extraction done). I called this office same day around 2:30pm or so, and long story short I was booked for a emergent tooth extraction 2 days later on Thursday. Pre-oral surgery: Now I am hella nervous (I'm typically with doctor's appointments but dentist's appointments I'm freaking out. Something about any type of metal tool item in my mouth that does it for me). Anywho, I was instructions of what to do via text message (I.e no eating/drinking 8 hours before the timeframe and to bring along another driver over the age of 18) and all instructions followed to a "T". During: On, Thursday 11/30/23; I arrived for my appointment at 10:30am for 11:00am appointment to be on the safe side. Insurance was verified and paperwork signed. Dr. Michael went over everything in about 10 minutes, and the doctor explained it would be localized rather than general anesthesia. I said okay, and I was in the surgery room for like 30 minutes; localized anesthesia given, expected cracking of the tooth occurred, doctored irrigated the area to cleansed the wound of infection, viola the area was sutured and I was done (all under an 1 hour. Honestly fastest and pain free appointment ever. I was shocked). After: the pain is minimal and just taking the doctor's orders if alternating between Tynelol and Ibuprofen. P.S. the customer service was awesome. I can really tell the staff and the doctor cares. Doctor actually checked up on me, the day after and I was like so surprised (what doctor does that, besides a PCP perhaps??? This doctor has very good bedside manner). They gained a client like forever, but I did tell them that hopefully I won't need their tooth extracting services anytime soon cause I like my natural teeth. I will however be back for a dental implant. Verdict: 5/5 stars. I honestly have no complaints. Coke here, if you need a very good oral surgeon.

I hadn't been to the dentist in about a year, but I take really good care of my teeth. Dr. Hu told me that I had 8 cavities and explained everything very rudely. When you hear you have a cavity, the reaction and explanation I'd hope to have is someone saying - we will get this taken care of, here's some preventative measures to take. Instead, I got rude comments about it and I felt very uncomfortable. Not to mention, the Dental Hygienist asked me questions the entire time during my cleaning about my diet, if my mom is prone to cavities, if I eat sugary food and drinks, etc. I felt like I couldn't catch a break. I will say, the Dental Assistant, Natalia is amazing. She's very kind and funny, and genuinely cared about me and made sure I wasn't in any pain during the X-Ray's. Lack of transparency and follow-up on payment information -- I've requested copies of the payment forms I signed eight times (once in person, multiple times by email, phone, and voicemail). Despite this, I've still not received any documentation or clear communication around fees--for orthodontic and dental work. 2. Delayed and dismissive handling of records -- After my initial visit with Dr. To, I waited nearly two weeks for answers to my follow up questions, and then decided to request my dental records so I could transition to a new provider. The dental group accepts DMO insurance to get business and then inaccurately represented a…read moretreatment not covered by the DMO insurance to boost their billing. The client, who has no dental training, ultimately has to decide whether to accept the treatment. After speaking to the DMO insurance company about the treatment I was informed by the DMO that I was misled about the purpose of the treatment. I tried to negotiate with the staff and office manager to get the cost of the treatment back. The office manager took my call and told me that I approved the charge at time of service. This is true. I did approve a misrepresented treatment and its charge. I was also told she would talk to the owner dentist about my claim. This never happened. Then, by email, I asked to talk to the owner dentist and I even offered to pay part of the charge as a compromise. The office manager never responded to me on two separate email attempts. I consider these business practices unscrupulous and poor customer service overall. Ghosting customers may be the social trend, but it's very poor customer service! Fulshear Modern Dentistry seems to overlooking all the choices their customers have for dental care in the area. The situation/charge above was in dispute with my credit card company initiated by me. This dispute was unanswered by the office manager. However, my bill is paid in full even though I was unable to work something out with the office manager due to her lack of response.

Although I was only there for a consultation, he asked if he could remove some plague that he noticed during the exam (I had a cleaning at my previous dental office 2 weeks before). I said yes and he removed it painlessly. I returned for a cleaning about 2 months later and he hand scaled my teeth due to the pain I reported from that water shooting demon that was used at my previous dental office. My cleaning was painless for the first time in years! Lastly, he noticed that my bite was off and shaved down my back molar slightly and the problem was solved. I had complained about my bite for years and none of the other providers addressed it. He noticed the problem without me telling him and offered to fix it. My husband took our son and said it was a great experience from start to finish and that the office is stunning too! He was very impressed with their compassion and professionalism!
