I love coming to 4th Ave whenever I'm in Tucson because the stores here are a delight, and Silver Sea Jewelry & Gifts is certainly a delightful place to go shopping in. There are a ton of unique jewelry and gifts here, and I always feel like every time I come back, there's new items crafted from local artists. I was in the mood for purchasing a ring and I found one that suited me while shopping here. The design reminded me of Hawaii and I asked the owner about the ring, along with the materials it was made out of. She was able to answer all of my questions with ease. It was because of talking to her that I bought the ring. Now I wear it almost everyday and it's still just as pretty as the day I bought it. Bonus points for the fact that there is a little corner of the store that has food and water for dogs in case you come in with your pet. I love that so much. One of my favorite things about 4th avenue is that it's a giant treasure trove of local local representation. Silver Sea jewelry is one of those special gems! The owner, Lizzie is sweet as pie and actually makes like 25% of the jewelry in the store. When you're not shopping for yourself, this is a great little shop to take visitors to as well! Every now and then, you find that hidden pearl, in an ocean of shops, and this is it! There is no better selection of quality silver, hand made items... Hard core to the gentlest of things to look at, love, adore and want. The prices are so fair, as is the lovely woman behind the counter. She is so amazingly welcoming to anyone who came into the shop, while I was there, and I get the feeling, that a lot of people know who she is. She is a one woman champion for greyhounds, as well, and there is always very affordable, hand beaded jewelry, available, with the proceeds going toward making a dog's life, not such a dog's life. I highly recommend going there, and finding the cool shade out of the stark, hot Tucson sun, whether you live there, or are just visiting. It should be a place you experience. Cheers! read more

I have been shopping at this store since I was 10 years old and it was just a little cart in the mall. The owner Liz is a fantastic woman! She always has unique jewelry, mainly celtic, pagan and egyptian inspired but has a good selection of costume jewelry and other things. Liz also makes some of the jewelry she sells. You never know what your going to find at this shop.One of the things I have always loved is she always has cool rings in my size, I had sausagey man fingers so I have a hard time finding cool jewelry but she always has something new to show me. Also I love all the statues she has, the store is inspired after the ocean and mermaids (which I am obsessed) So I always find something new here. I recently bought a unique incense burner from this store. It was a very original piece shaped as a grave marker complete with an ivy-covered headstone. It was also very inexpensive. What struck me about the store was the amount of original and different merchandise is this store. They have tons of jewelry - rings, bracelets, necklaces, etc. wall hangings. purses, knick knacks (like my incense holder) and all kinds of other cool stuff. This isn't stuff you are going to find in the mall! The sales person was very nice and friendly and did not seem to mind my browsing all the cases and wall displays. I have followed Silver Sea Jewelry and Gifts from its inception on a cart in the middle of Tucson Mall. The owner and staff care a great deal about making sure there is quality BEAUTIFUL product on their shelves. Their prices are outstanding in comparison to other silver retailers. Especially since they are so conscientious about where their silver comes from. My daughter and I are especially sensitive to nickle content in jewelry and will not buy our earrings or chains anywhere else. We know we won't react to Silver Sea jewelry. There is something for everyone there. Price ranges fit just about any budget. Whenever I have a hard time picking a gift, a few quick questions from the staff and their suggestions have always been a HIT with the person I was gifting to. On top of the amazing service and great quality of the product, they also have bracelets in the shop and online on Etsy that raises funds for animal welfare charities. The bracelets are put together by Beading Divas and are made from donated materials and 100% of the sales go to the charity fund raising. It's amazing! The mission behind some of the pieces and the services that are offered to people who are homeless and their pets is heartwarming.
