The individual assigned as our party host appeared to be extremely young--so young that it was genuinely concerning. Their behavior was rude, dismissive, and entirely unprofessional. Whether this was due to understaffing or lack of proper training, it reflected very poorly on the facility as a whole. My sister spent several hundred dollars for her daughter's birthday celebration, expecting a well-organized and positive experience. Instead, our party was overseen by someone who did not seem mature or qualified enough to be responsible for hosting children's events, let alone interacting with paying customers. Having what appeared to be a literal child working as the party host is not only unprofessional, but it significantly took away from what should have been a special and enjoyable day. This is not the level of service that should accompany the prices you charge. I hope this feedback is taken seriously, as better staffing, training, and professionalism are clearly needed.

Finally, I got in the groove after a few laps. I got the price list, I think the prices are decent. I would come back after I buy my own skates. Because I wear size 10.5 but they don't have half size. I can barely fit into the size 10 skate. I know size 11 would give me blisters. Stupid GPS took me to the middle of Highway 6. I had no choice but drive into the parking lot next door. Then, drive around the block to come here. The skating rink is all the way back at the end of the parking lot. Although this party is scheduled outside of the normal business hours, there weren't other people on the rink. I wish I live nearby. I definitely would come back.

There's a concession stand that sells a variety of fried items, all for a reasonable price (we're talking prices from the late '90s to early '00s). And a skate buddy (contraption to help those new to skating) costs $5 to rent for 2 hours. Beginner skaters have a special cordoned-off space in the center to practice their skating. My only gripe is that signs posting the rules are all around the rink, but no one seems to enforce them? There were some kids that were constantly lapping others and no one stopped them. With that being said, I am not sure I would choose to host a bday party here since there doesn't actually seem to be a consequence for anyone that's skating (literally) circles around others. The delivery people were friendly and courteous, and our son was jumping on the bounce house in his pajamas before the truck had even pulled away to their next delivery! And we loved that we got to keep the bounce house all day for basically the same price other companies were charging for just a couple hours. How is this place not condemned?…read more The facilities are disgusting and not maintained. The lockers are old and half are broken. I was robbed of 4 quarters because they kept getting stuck in the busted lockers. The staff will not help you get your quarters back. The restrooms are a biohazard. The women's restroom had toilet water overflowing out of one stall and into the two next to it. All of the toilets had unflushed excrement except two, and of these two, only one had a working lock. Also note, you'll have to dry your hands with half working hand dryers from the 90s. The skates are incredibly uncomfortable and unforgiving. Once I got through the first layer of hell, I moved on to free skate. At first I was shocked by the eerie green lighting. Why is the whole rink shrouded with green light? Maybe to hide the disgusting ice? The ice is dirty and extremely slippery -- not ideal for any level of skater. I am a fairly good skater, and I could only comfortably skate 4 rounds before I decided it was just not worth it. The Galleria ice rink is much more well maintained, and free skate time is not limited like SL ice center. Free skate at SL ice center is only available for 2 hours at a time, at varying start times through the week. They do not accept tap to pay, so if you make the mistake of spending your money here, make sure to bring a physical card... but I implore you not to.
