We brought our kids here to go ice skating, when we walked in there were shoes all over the floor and it looked like a dirty locker room. There's a wall full of lockers, that they charge less than a dollar for, but they were all empty. Mad Max: Beyond Aerodrome. We've only skated here once, but it was nothing if not a positive experience. Having mainly skated only in Oxford (England) before, it was amazing seeing how the Americans, specifically the Texans, do it. Very differently, I must say. It smells nicer in here, and seems more professional, than back home where my Mum once broke her wrist protecting my brother's head from hitting the ice. It's a lot better than the Galleria, which is the only other one around here that I've had experience with. read more

We had a lot of (painful) fun at the Aerodrome last night. The skates SUCK! so painful. I suppose it is because I don't go often. THE BAD: The skates rubbed the back of my calf (and my 10-year old son's) raw. We had a group of 11. All our feet were killing us after 1 hour. The ice was bumpy and had not been Zambonied for what seemed like a long time creating tripping hazards for novice skaters. Holy moly, the lockers SUCK! we had to move all of our shoes 4 times to find a locker that worked! Many were marked with "out of order" but many more needed a sign. Locker costs $0.50 every time you open it. THE GOOD: We love the seals you can rent to help kids with balance. One kid can sit on them while another pushes. The size us so much better/bigger than the closest competiting rink in The Woodlands. The kids enjoyed seeing the hockey mascot who was really friendly and did a great job making smiles. VERDICT: I blame the pain on our inexperience, mostly. It can be a fun experience. Get an automatic group discount (no reservations needed) if over 10 skaters. It'll save you $5/person. (Normal rates are $10/admission + $5/skate rental. Group rate is $10 for BOTH admission and skate rental) read more

Make sure to check their website for the schedule but good option for public skating if you don't want to be in a busy mall and less chance of the majority of other skaters being extremely inexperienced. Fun light show as you are skating. Skates could've been a lot better, my rental pair were really beat up and uncomfortable. Make sure to bring fluffy comfy socks to wear! Also would've been nice to have more food options other than frozen pizza & corn dog in the ice box. But BIG PLUS though that they have walkers for children to learn to skate with and cute seals also for them to sit on as the parent pushes them around on ice! read more

I'm taking an intro class and I have my 4yo son taking a group class and the instructors are very professional and patient. I would def recommend trying the classes or popping in for some time on the ice. Everyone is super friendly and we've really have really enjoyed making a connection to ice skating! read more

Great ice skating rink! Been coming here for years. Skating here is cheaper than at the Galleria. The cost is $15 at the Galleria for skate rentals + admission. It costs $12.50 here ($8 admission + $4 for skate rentals + $0.50 for lockers). The lockers only take quarters here. You put in two quarters and turn the key to lock the door. When you enter, it's not really clear where you buy your tickets.You have to buy your admission tickets inside the skate shop. It's to your right when you walk in to the building. Then, you can come out to the main lobby to rent your skates. TIP for novice ice skaters - Wear thick, long knee-high socks if you are renting skates. Your feet will thank you. The skates tend to cut into your skin. I went on a weekday afternoon during the holiday season. The place was full of kids and teenagers since they were out from school, but it wasn't too packed on the rink. Lots of falling kids on the ice though. read more

Gets five stars due to the ice quality, as compared to the galleria and former sugarland aerodrome. Whatever a complex lacks in accoutrements can be made up for in ice quality. But, no matter how great ammenities and features a given complex may have, it is all for nought if the ice sucks. What makes ice good? Ask and we can discuss it in another conversation. One who knows ice will know what I mean. I contracted some kind of athlete's foot fungus from their rental skates many years ago when I first started skating, but I've had my own skates now for years and have never developed a rash. A fungus problem doesn't really attest to the quality of a complex, because they all have the same quality of rental skates. "Never wear rental skates" should be a commonly known rule no matter what place your'e at. Just say no. Don't do it. It's gross. read more

The proshop people are incredibly rude. Whenever I give them a call to ask about hours (because their website is confusing and does not list ProShop hours), one particular person always sounds annoyed and does not have good phone etiquette. She has hung up several times on me and always sounds huffy. I've noticed that it is an elderly woman, as I have also seen her a few times in person in the ProShop, and she is equally as rude and always talks with an attitude. You'd think they'd hire more personable people to man the desk but I guess not. read more

great establishment, but the employee (older man) who came through the glass door and said "THAT'S IT, IM SICK OF HIM!" to my nephew (who is a first time ice skater) bc he kept falling. he then asked my nephew to show him his hands accusing him of being on his cell phone, which was with his mother across the building. He was thinking that was the reason for him falling. He did all of this right in front of the entire family. After the employee was put in his place by our family, another employee tried offering free passes. which we declined and that most certainly does not excuse the way the older man acted. We will not be back. We had family from Louisiana in town that we were trying to show a good time, and this employee ruined it. My nephew did nothing wrong, falling is part of learning... read more

Very very unprofessional front desk. She said she is the only one for the front desk, but obviously not loving her job. Very impatient and obviously not smart. Keep saying all is there on the website. For everything you asked, start with a "NO"... Customer asked "What is the regular price for one session after the trial?" Answer: "I don't understand what you are saying" .... Customer: After I choose my time, can I just show up in my chosen class? "NO, obviously there are no classes on certain days..." Great place for adults and children. Great exercise for my kids who are usually wired to their laptops (they will always want to go, that's how you know the place is fun). The price is fair: $7 dollars admittance, $3 dollars skate rental (cheaper than the movies nowadays). To take advantage of the full skating time, make sure you view the public schedule (public skating only lasts for 3 hours, which is the sad thing about it). They have a good concession stand, restroom, and some arcade games to entertain the kids while they smooth out the ice (smooth ice is awesome to fall and skid on). The service is great, they have nice people at the check in, nice people at the skate rentals, friendly staff people on the ice to help pick your children up if they fall and can't get back up. Couple of tips (bring quarters for the arcades and shoe locker if you want to skate with your kids), Check the schedules so you don't get ripped off, wear long socks so you won't get calloused from the rental skates.
