Over the weekend, I attended a wedding at The Casey and during the most intimate moment of exchanging vows within the ceremony, one of the drivers from this company was loudly talking in the background. This caused quite a stir among guests as we were trying to listen to the Bride and Groom but had a difficult time hearing them over the loud and disruptive driver speaking. While I am unsure of what was so important that the driver must loudly be speaking to people at the Casey, I would hope that he could of been more professional and self-aware of the situation (you are at a wedding venue- why are you yelling so loudly). Also, later in the evening, some of the guests were told by the bus driver that they could not be taken to their hotel and they had to purchase Ubers. Extremely unprofessional. read more

Going The Extra Mile During The Pandemic My experience with SilverFox Limos recently was nothing short of extraordinary. My daughter had been self-quarantining in her tiny, windowless flat in Manhattan - only leaving to buy groceries. She had no mask or gloves. I began to worry about her continued isolation and exposure. I thought of a plan to move her into my Airbnb in Charlotte temporarily so that she could enjoy more living space, get daily fresh air, and see the sky. The difficulty was finding the best limousine service that would take her transit safety as seriously as her family would. I was on the phone with limousine companies in Stamford and Charlotte. It became evident that SilverFox Limos was going to go the extra mile. James Weymann was thorough and deliberate. He knew I was nervous. We had a three-way call with his driver, John Harper, to discuss transit strategy, communication, and procedures. James suggested a large vehicle that would provide adequate distance between John and my daughter. He offered an extra-large cooler so that she could bring her frozen and refrigerated foods with her. Since she did not have any gloves or a mask, John would provide these items for her and disinfectant wipes and an extra roll of TP in the event they had to make a stop during the 11-hour trip. James shared photos of this and also how the vehicle would be thoroughly disinfected before picking her up. James kept reassuring me that everything is going to be okay. His confidence made me feel at ease. John would leave Charlotte the day before and spend the night outside of Manhattan. I received text alerts updating me on the trip. My daughter and John ended up driving straight from the upper East Side to Southpark without stopping - chatting the entire way. John helped her self check-in and left with a big thumbs up through the window to me. After two more weeks of self-quarantine due to an abundance of caution, my daughter and I finally reunited on Day 15 two weekends ago and have enjoyed each other's company ever since while staying safely at home together. I wholeheartedly recommend SilverFox Limos. Charlotte is so fortunate to have such a well-run, professional limousine service - whether for pleasure or in time of crisis. Really disappointed in this company. Being friendly is not enough and although the employees are friendly, I have received very poor service. If I do not hear from the owner in the next day I will report them to Better Business Bureau. On my wedding day the Hummer Limo arrived with no AC in the back. It was over 100 degrees and I was in a wedding gown. In fact the AC was blowing HOT air and the driver kept saying before we got into the limo, she was sorry it was warm because the AC wasn't doing it's job. By the time I got to the church I was completely overheated and ended up getting sick as a result. The driver was very apologetic, however it did not help. The Hummer should not have been sent in that condition. We told her we could not use that limo for the ride home and to replace it with the only other available vehicle, a bus. The bus came and was fine. The real insult is that I noticed two charges to my account. One was for the balance I owed on the hummer limo originally ( that I should not have to pay for) and another for the balance owed for the bus (that I am responsible for). I contacted Silver Fox this morning and was told the owner was in a meeting and he was the only one who could handle the issue and promised he would call me back TODAY. I just called again at the end of the day and was kindly told he was busy all day and may not be able to get back to me. This is completely unacceptable and unprofessional and I expect my refund within the next 24 hours or else I will have to make much more noise then a simple yelp review. read more

This was a pleasant way to get to and from the airport on a recent trip. Especially with all of the parking construction at CLT. It's fairly economical depending on how long you are away & parking fees at the airport lots. They picked us up in a Hyundai Equus and that was an awesome ride. A cooler in the back with recliner seat w/foot rest that comes up & massaging seat back. Joan, one of our drivers was really nice & pleasant. So was the other driver, but I don't remember his name. I called to ask a question and was informed that company no longer will provide car seats. I think this a poor business decision. I think it tacky that it was confirmed by a reservation but I find after calling about question. We booked a party bus for our event about two-three weeks ago. Paid the $500 deposit. I received an email late last night that our bus had already been reserved and we wouldn't be able to use it for our event. Our event is in THREE weeks! It would have been nice if they could have told us the bus was reserved from the beginning so we could have found another place earlier. Now we are scrambling around trying to find another place! We were in town for the Jimmy Buffet concert on April 23rd for my boyfriends 50th birthday. I got the name of this company from the concierge at the hotel we were staying at. I called and spoke with the owner James. He was nice and accommodating for such short notice with it being prom night and the Buffet concert. We rented the car for 8 1/2 hours so we could tailgate. The driver Ray was the best! We wanted to bring subs in and glad to stop for beer and he put so much thought into where he took us because he wanted it to be a special time for us. We got subs from Lenny's and beer from a store that has a bar in it! He already had a cooler with ice in the trunk for us! We are going to try to go back for the Buffet concert next year and will definitely use them again so long as Ray is available to drive us! read more

I scheduled the Christmas lights tour for 6 to go to McAdenville. The day before the trip I became ill but a neighbor took my place. Only one of the passengers, who sat in the front seat, could see the lights. The windows were darkly tinted so the passengers in the second seats had to roll down the window to see and it was a cold night. The three passengers in the back saw nothing because of the side panel on the van and the head rest in the front. I called twice and sent two emails and finally spoke to a woman who said she was the manager but no one really cared. It was an expensive trip and I felt responsible since I arranged it. LOVE LOVE LOVE this company! We rented a limo for my bachelorette party and Bernie picked us up. Bernie was absolutely amazing. The limo arrived on time and very clean and ready to go. It even had water bottles on ice for us to use and glasses for our champagne. All of the girls absolutely loved the service, Bernie and the limo. First, let me start out by saying that the driver was very polite and did a good job. But, it ended there. When I booked I was quoted a price and my credit card was charged. I have booked many limo services and this is standard. It is also standard that the limo services checks the flight to make sure it arrives on time and then sends the driver. My flight was delayed and arrived about 30 mins late, I guess because of all the hurricane evacuation air traffic. I received an invoice this morning stating that they charged my card another $53 for "Overtime Charges". I called the company and they were not much interested in making me happy. They said they are still charging me nearly double because the plane was a few minutes late, which I can't help. I would not recommend this company at all. Overbilling your customers does not help business because they never come back! They just lost a customer that will be routinely traveling to NC. Be assured I will not be using them!!!! read more

I have worked for SilverFox Limos but left them in June 2015. I agreed to do some greeting work for SFL at the airport. I greeted a group on April 28, 2016 and received a "Pay Log" on May 11, 2016 and expected a check sent to me at that time. Any time I greeted, I was paid by check. On May 26th, I called the office to remind James that I still hadn't gotten paid for my hours of greeting. He wasn't there but one of the girls called him. He told her he did a direct deposit. I told her to tell him I would go home and check to see if there was a deposit to my checking account. There was not. I sent a text to James to tell him that "no" there was no direct deposit. (I checked my account 2 months) On June 2, 2016 I emailed James and gave him my address, even though he has it on file from when I worked in the office. He said he would send a check. On June 9th, I emailed him again to tell him I still have not received my check. I have not heard back from him. It's a measly eighty dollars ($80.00) that he owes me and I am tired of reminding him. read more

I cannot think of ONE thing to say that would be less than extremely positive for SilverFox Limos and our chauffeur Bernie Lemke. The white, stretch limousine was immaculate inside and out. There was water in ice waiting for us and the seating was very comfortable. We didn't "need" a limo per se BUT my dress was so long and... well... BIG... and I couldn't get ready at the church, and I'm not quite sure it would have fit in the Prius! At least not comfortably and unwrinkled - that is for sure. Our ceremony location has a tiny circular driveway in front and our driver had to work to maneuver his way into it but we made it successfully and he even laid out the red carpet for my husband and I as we rode off into the distance to the reception! So prompt and clean and easy to work with! My father has needed towncar/limo services with work and had not used SilverFox before but said he will definitely think of them from now on because he was so impressed. No Integrity....I spoke with a reservations representative at SilverFox Limos at 11:30 am on 418/13. I was told the H2 Hummer limo was available for my desired date of 5/18/13 and provided a quoted rate of $729 for 4 hours. The representative asked if I'd like to go ahead and book the reservation right then. I told the representative that I'd discuss it with my wife and I would get right back with her. I called back that same day at 1:30 pm (2 hrs later) and asked for the representative that I spoke with earlier. Since she was still at lunch, another girl on the phone asked if she could help. I told her that I would like to book the reservation I spoke of 2 hours earlier. She asked what amount I was quoted and I told her $729 for 4 hours. She then said that the representative I received my quote from made a mistake since that is during prom season. I was then told that instead of the $729 I was quoted earlier is now $1,800 !! I asked for the manager over reservations to call me as I felt it was only appropriate on my part to give management the opportunity to make this situation right before posting any reviews online. I was told that James Weymann would call me as soon as he returned from lunch. 48 hours has now passed and I have not received any follow up call from SilverFox. I feel strongly that SilverFox should have stood by the firm quote I was given just 2 hours earlier. This type of business behavior is indicative of a business that does not stand by their word, does not have high integrity business practices and one that puts price gouging a group of high school kids over following through on their stated quote. Rest assured, SilverFox had their chance to show me how they do business and they failed miserably before any car even pulled up to my door. There are too many other limo services in Charlotte to do business with one that does not stand behind its own words. read more
