disappointed doesn't even come close. the attention to detail was lacking in the detail and paint correction. there was a huge scrape under the bumper when the car was returned to me. there was residue in between the panels from the buffing. he didn't remove the license plates to buff out and apply ceramic coating to the whole car in those areas. he left some fuzz behind from the cloths. these things are fine for a car wash, but not for an $1100 detail. this guy drove my car 100+mph for pickup and drop off which i could see from the tesla app. he was clearly driving recklessly which felt unprofessional and made me feel really upset for trusting this person with my car in the first place. when i got back in my car to drive, i noticed a banging sound underneath the car. upon further inspection, there was a piece that had been totally messed up from going over a speed bump of something similar. this guy denied everything and tried gaslighting me making bizarre claims about how i treat my car and that it was my fault for the new damage. the entire thing was really outrageous and upsetting. sadly i don't have photographic evidence of the moment of impact (how would i) and he is being very rude about the entire situation. i truly do not know how he has a good rating on yelp :( read more

I got my little Honda detailed for the first time by Hiram at Silverlake Auto Detail. It was a very positive experience. Hiram communicated everything to me clearly. He drives to you so it's nice that you don't have to be out stuck at a shop somewhere without a car. The service takes about 3-4 hours. It takes additional couple of hours to fully dry after he's done and it's highly recommended to leave the windows open so the air flow can pass through. If not, it leaves the car smelling funky. That's something you do want to keep in mind if you live in a public apartment complex where you don't necessarily want to leave your car windows open and accessible. All in all great experience. First off. I have a BLACK 2012 Mustang GT, and anyone with a Black car knows how you can feel like Sisyphus when trying to remove swirl marks. Paint correction can be a very long and tedious process. You must have the know how, AND the patience to do paint correction correctly and effectively. I usually do this myself, but I just didn't have the time, and my car looked like a spider had a love affair with my paint job, so after much research I decided to give Hiram a call. He said to bring it in and he would do a test panel on my car so I could see the results and determine if I wanted to do it, and it would be about a 6 to 8 hour job. It looked good and Hiram was super friendly and had a trustworthy vibe, so I felt totally comfortable leaving my automotive pride and joy with him. So that Friday I dropped it off at 8am by 430pm it was complete. It looked AMAZING! So shinny and the swirl marks were removed. NO MORE SPIDER WEBS! I am so pleased I brought my car here. I'm very thankful for Hiram and his work. My 2011 Volvo XC70 was vomited on, all over my door, seat, and floor. I was going to try and take on the task myself but was only able to clean the chunks. I didn't have the proper tools or experience to clean up my car and make it look good as new. So I messaged Hiram and was able to squeeze me into his schedule the next day. Hiram told me he would be able to clean most of it but that it might be a little difficult to clean the area where the seatbelt anchors to the car, but that he'd do the best he could. He gave me a very responsible price and one hour later my car showed no sign that anyone had ever vomited in there. I don't understand the positive reviews. I made an appointment with Hiram last week for this coming Tuesday at 8am. We spoke several times and I explained that I was driving back from Co with my nephews car. I told him a need to detail the car since I was going to keep the car. We confirmed the appt. Today he tells me that since I had not confirmed over the weekend he had given my appt. to another customer. I explained to him that we had confirmed over the phone as early as just friday and agreed to the confirmation then. I thought surely with so many 5 star reviews, I was in for an amazing detail on my neglected but loved truck. 2 hours and 150 bucks later, I can't decide if Yelpers are just not nearly as OCD as they used to be or I just got the guys on a seriously off day. With two guys working on the truck, I got a call about 2 hours after dropping it off that I could come by and pick it up. I had to point out a bunch of places where they had missed spots which was kind of awkward, since, isn't that their job? To notice the spots? It wasn't until I got home that I noticed just how much they missed. In addition to not getting the water marks off the windows, there was clay bar gunk all over the ridge of where my spray on lining met the paint on the truck. Clay bar on a lot of the exterior black plastic. No effort at paying attention to detail. And I mean, it's in the definition of the word! I felt like I got a $50 wash and wax for the quality of work done. Totally not worth the price, which is a total bummer. read more

During the phone consultation, Hiram was candid with me and advised he had no way of knowing whether he could remove the tough stains on my wife's car's driver's seat. Like many service providers, he could have represented great results just to get me in the shop. I was impressed by his honesty (no bait and switch here) and drove to his shop. I found Hiram to be a great conversationalist, very personable and wise beyond his years. I thoroughly enjoyed meeting him. Before he started the job, Hiram again cautioned me he had no way of knowing whether all of the stains would come out. I could have driven off at that point due to the uncertain results but his disclosure made perfect sense. He wanted to make sure my expectations were realistic. This was music to my ears, especially after meeting my share of service providers who promise more than they deliver. I gave him the green light and told him I was sure the driver's seat would be better after he worked on it, whether all the stains were removed or not. I was prophetic. Within 20 minutes, Hiram phoned me to tell me the job was done. The seat looked brand new! Hiram's excellent work brought happiness to my wife. She had been understandably bothered by the loss of her beloved car's impeccable driver's seat. (The seat had been spotless until a recent mishap.) I visited Silverlake Auto Detail in Feb 2014 after making a trip to the Mojave Desert in my small Honda Fit Sport. Let me just tell you that a Honda Fit was not made to go off roading in the dessert. My car had a bunch of scratches on the sides, front, back, and anywhere else you could think of. When I got back from the trip, I decided I really needed to get my car detailed to remedy the damages a little. I grabbed a Groupon for a full exterior detail and called to set up an appointment. I arrived at the shop at the scheduled time and Hiram was there to greet me. He said it would be done in about 2 hours, which I was more than happy to wait. He offered me an additional polish, and even demonstrated on a small spot, but I refused the service and he was completely understanding. If I had the extra cash at the time, I probably would have taken him up on the offer. I walked around Silverlake for a bit and returned early to use the Wifi and power at the connected body shop. Both Hiram and the body shop people were very nice and considerate about me waiting on their couches and using their Wifi. As promised Hiram was done in about 2 hours. I was honestly amazed. My car went from a dusty little scratched up thing to looking shiny and new. (And not joking, I brought in my car straight from the desert, so it was completely COATED in dust.) The scratches were mostly non- existent, aside from some small deeps ones that will need an actual paint job. Hiram even vacuumed and wiped down the interior a bit, even though my deal was only for the outside. 5 out of 5 stars fro the service as well as the quality.
