I've been here a couple of times for sports. The park itself is quite large - probably a few acres. They have a small playground, which I think is more like a tot lot. There's one softball field, which is used by Poway Girls Softball League. The grass is generally in good condition. There's some sort of Par Course Fitness Trail around, which is a nice touch. The reason they're not getting five stars, is because the parking lot is very small. It's almost impossible to not park on the street, especially when a team has a practice going on. read more

Silverset park baseball field This review is strictly for baseball field and not the park Flawless cage around the bar protects the ball well, nice dome shaped. Outfield is green and lush but free dry patches and ups and down. They have only one big baseball field and no batting cages. This Baseball field is well maintained infield and outfield ideal for baseball practices or games. The outfield grass is available for.practice too. Nice dugot for the teams wi the benches. Parking is tight, only 12 spots. Nice maintaed park and very family friendly park. With nice joging track around. read more

I'm not a short man, but when I have to take a good sized step to get up onto the playground equipment, I'm thinking it may be that much more difficult for a toddler who just wants a turn to go down the zip line. Admittedly, though, it is pretty funny to watch kids fly off the slide, land butt first into the wood chip pit, because their legs aren't long enough to touch ground at the bottom. So, yeah, Silvers Neighborhood Park. Came here with my son while my girlfriend was at a party out here in Poway to give her a chance to hang out with friends. He got to enjoy two playground setups (each for a different age group), a sandpit to jump around in, and a good sized park with a jogging track encompassing it. Everything is relatively clean and well maintained, with the only qualm I have being that the ground is set a bit too low for most of the slides and swings. Nothing is fantastic, but it doesn't rise much passed average for the most part. On the really good side are signs trying to enforce leash laws. I don't mind dogs, but most owners never really understand that while they know their dog is calm and sweet, no one else knows that. And it only takes one kid, who has a golden retriever at home and a penchant for grabbing tails, to make some owner start apologizing profusely. "I'm sorry! I don't know why he tried to bite! He's never done that before!" They're dogs, it's what they do. I've always kept dogs I've brought in public on leashes for just that reason, it's always nice to see public places trying to do the same. Of course, it's also nice to see loose dogs attack each other while their owners scream at the top of their shrill lungs, tossing blame. That was the sight I was treated to when we first arrived, laughing to myself with a few others while this frilly debutante ran away threatening to sue after another loose dog tried to attack her 'little muffin.' It was almost as if an entire lifetime of being carried around in a purse gave no preparation whatsoever to being around other dogs. Go figure! In the end, average park, but of good size, well maintained, separate playgrounds for different age groups, set too high in wood chip pits, with leash law signs many people just seem to ignore. I wouldn't say no to coming back. read more

Silverset park is tucked away from the Twin Peak Rd traffic behind big houses next to a hill. The park has modern well-maintained play structures, slides, monkey bars, sandbox, restrooms (clean!) and there is a baseball field. There are some picnic benches next to the play structures. The track around the park is always busy will people of all ages walking, jogging with or without dogs. My kids always love this place :-) Last Christmas, while walking around the park, we were treated with holiday decorations and Christmas ornaments hanging on trees and on bushes around the walking track -- the sight of which brought excitement in the eyes of my kids, it was a "delight" to see that. Beautiful, well-kept Park. Great for kids, groups and outdoor parties on the cement picnic tables. The playground was awesome-- there was so much to do. Swings, slides, a spinning structure, little bridges, and a separate play area for younger children. read more

This is my favorite park so far in Poway. There is much to love about this park. A few being that there is two play grounds one for bigger kids 5-12 and the other for toddlers and babies. I feel better bringing my 12 month old here knowing she won't be trampled on by bigger kids. I do come to exercise with my dog as well. It will be nice when we can finally let the dogs be free and play with one another. read more

Very Disappointing. Two playgrounds, one for toddlers and one for older children. However, the either the equipment in the toddler playground wasn't installed properly or it's in serious need of additional fill. Two year old granddaughter kept going to the older kids playground as she couldn't get up the first step in the toddlers playground. Very Poorly done. read more

Awesome park i take my daughter here all the time.. its gotta zip line, sand pit and an area for bigger and smaller kids. Only negative is the woodchips but thats not enough to lose a star. A big plus for me is it has a jogging track 1/3 of a mile, which is nice when i feel like getting exercise too. And along the jogging track it has various exercise stations that range from stretching to pull ups. Not to mention the huge grass area, basketball court and baseball field... definitely a very active park for kids and adults. read more

Great park now, but please don't use the ball park for dogs. Kids and families play on that field and potential health and safety hazards are enormous. Take them the the park specific for dogs 2.5 miles away. Dogs should not play in ballfields and kids should not play in dog parks. Simple common sense don't you think? read more

This is a Cute little neighborhood park at the end of a residential neighborhood in Poway. They have two playgrounds for both smaller and bigger children. They are both updated with all the cool new stuff like zip lines and such. There is a basketball court at the way back of the park behind the large grassy area. Behind that there is baseball fields where dogs are not allowed to roam on the field. Beyond that dogs are fine everywhere else as long as they are leashed. There is a marked dirt running path which makes this park exceptionally nice if you want to run while the kids kick a ball or play basketball. It's all in view of the running/walking course. There are bbq's for public use, and it's rarely crowded. Great spot to stop and play! read more

This park is great and holds many special memories for me. I grew up at this park playing on the play structure, soccer in the grassy field. Now that I am grown up and married I still love taking our dog for a walk here. Huge loop. They have everything that you could want for recreation : basketball court, baseball field, huge track loop for runners, giant Grassy field for freesbee football bocce ball spikeball soccer etc.they also have picnic tables and grills to cook on for picnics. love this park read more

We love our park! Not sure what's to come with the off-leash dog dispute. Currently it is illegal to let your dog off the lead he at this park, but there is a motion to have there either be off-leash area or an enclosed dog run. I'm not to sure I'm for off leash cause then every dog walker w/in 30 miles will camp out here and clutter up the park. I like things simple and quiet. That's what our park is right now. I really like to come to this park to jog around the field. it's easy to get to and i can always bring my dog with me (tons of squirrels around the park, so beware if your dog likes to chase them). the park also has a great play structure for little kids and benches for parents to sit at while watching the kids. there's also a baseball field, a basketball court, and a huge grassy field for any other activities. read more

This is a lovely park and was very enjoyable to come and meet neighbors and have our dogs play. However, the city has requested the park to be patrolled by the Escondido Humane Society. The officer that comes will hide out and slither around buildings to see if anyone has their dog off leash. He has become more of a bully than an officer of "HUMANE" treatment. The park is not the same and the neighbors don't meet as they use to, hence the flavor of the whole community has diminished due to this constant harassment of this officer. So sad to see that happening. read more
