I was here recently for a soccer tournament. The play structures looked fun and kept the sideline siblings occupied. The fields were in nice enough condition. The bathrooms were limited, but I never saw a huge line, unlike other parks. The reason they're not getting five stars is because the parking lot is incredibly small! We come to this park often, I never thought it would have a yelp page. We moved to cmr about 7 months ago now and this is a park across the road from our house. It's very clean, open and has friendly families with young children. There's restrooms that are always kept clean and the park is well maintained. I was just there today and it's always active and Not too crowded. Perfect place to relax on a Sunday and let the kids release some energy before dinner and bedtime for the week ahead. read more

3.5 stars. I brought my kids here for the first time last week & they loved it! It's not huge, but a good size. They have a few parking spots in their private lot, but can fill up pretty quickly during peak hours. They do have a good amount of street parking in a suburban neighborhood though. It's right next to an elementary school too, so avoid after school hours. They have a small bathroom on sight, but I was so irritated with their water system. My son & I were in the middle of washing our hands when the water suddenly stopped working. We both had very soapy hands & needed water, so we ended up sneaking to the men's restroom to use their sink. However, that one ran out mid rinsing. I felt gross because I ended up just using wipes to finish the job, but hands still felt sticky from the bits of soap that was still on our hands. Also, the blue slide is not well built. Maybe for bigger kids it's ok, but my 5 year old was traumatized & didn't want to go on it again. It's super steep & very bumpy. My 8 year old was fine, but even she didn't want to go on it again. Other than those 2 issues, everything else was great. Plenty of shade & some tables for parents to sit & watch their kids. I may return, but this time bringing an extra bottle of tap water to rinse our hands. read more

We randomly stopped by while in the area and had a great time! It's not perfect but for a FREE activity, it's pretty good. What makes it 5 stars? - large park with both a little kids (ages 0-3) and big kids (ages 4-10) area. There's several activities including a climbing spider web, swings, rock climbing wall, zip line, several slides on the play structure - private parking lot with maybe 14 spots and plenty of street parking as well - restrooms on the premise - several tables available (some of them were dirty though) - large grass field for playing sports A great place to entertain the kids! read more

Highland Ranch Park is a nice neighborhood playground/park located between Carmel Mountain Road and Ted Williams Pkwy -- closed to the former. I've passed the park many times on Highland Ranch Road between the two. The playground equipment looks very nice, as does the green space and ball fields. It is clearly intended for the neighborhood. My kids love this park. The lot is small and parking can be a small hassle at times. I hope they fix the blue slide soon if they haven't already. The park has lots of shade and tables for parents. It's next to a giant field so they have sports going on occasionally. They have bathrooms super close to the actual playground so it comes in handy for little ones that can't hold it very long. read more

Definitely our most frequented park. It's just right.. Tucked alongside the elementary school in the area.. this park has a little bit of everything for the family to enjoy some outside time. It's not a huge park... the parking lot is definitely on the smaller side.. but there's usually plenty of neighborhood parking. I like that it doesn't have sand (screams) and plenty of woodchips for the kids to throw around. It's designed in such a way that kids can be supervised without concerns of them running out to the street and you can keep a watchful eye. Bathrooms up front (not that nice but they serve the purpose needed), big fields for dogs and kids alike, various play structures for the different age groups, rock climbing, spider gym, swings, etc.. it really can keep the family entertained. I like that they have a shaded area with tables. Many families during the warm summer nights will have a small picnic here as kids finish up sports.. or play in the playground. In general, everyone is considerate. Lots of young families in the neighborhood who bring their kids to air out before bed time (us included). Every now and then, we'll encounter older kids who can get really inconsiderate for the younger folks playing.. but they generally have enough sense to get their sh!t together when yelled at once (they aren't bad kids.. just rowdy and not aware of the little ones). Definitely a family friendly place and great for toddlers. One of our favorite places to go. PS: Careful with the blue slide. It's a steep and bumpy one.. that can send you or your child flying. read more

Impressive playground. I don't think I've ever seen so many different heights of slides in a park. Looks like a very exciting place for kids to be. Other than that there is a large baseball field but not much else. Good place to walk your dog. Beware of people walking their dogs off leash though. read more

This park has the tallest slides you will find at a public park in San Diego. My kids had a blast going down one of the three giant slides. My little dude enjoyed the smaller park in the back which had some shorter slides more to his liking. I'm surprised this park doesn't have a higher rating. read more

My daughter wanted some play time and we found this park on Yelp. I definitely like how it's in a residential area. It's a small playground with lots of activities for the little ones. My daughter liked the mini zip line and the slides. She didn't want to leave. It was around 5:30 and it was windy and cold. I had a light sweater. It gets cold in the evenings. Bring a thick jacket coming here at night. There are plenty of tables and benches behind the play area. So many kids came here with their parents. The parking lot is small and has limited spaces but I found a great spot to park. I'm glad the play ground didn't have sand but wood chips instead. It's less messy. Great for kids. My daughter absolutely loved this park. read more

I wish we lived closer so we could come here everyday! This park had everything we needed for a perfect picnic and play time. Most importantly, it's very nice and clean.. the location felt very safe, nestled in a residential area, next to an elementary school. There are two main play structures: one for older kids (with the biggest playground slides we've ever seen!) and one for younger toddlers. In addition, there are swings, a rock wall, and this awesome spiderweb climbing structure. The play area has fences on each side, and then it is open on one side to the parking lot (think of the shape of a triangle). There is plenty of picnic tables covered with shades and clean bathrooms (no graffiti or mess here!). There's also a large grassy area with a baseball field. Overall we had a great time and would visit again if ever in the area! (Side note: the park was pretty much empty until about 4pm, or whenever school got out. The bigger kids still played nice with the little ones, so it was nothing to worry about) read more

This is a great little park! Convenient location, easy to find, and plenty for the kiddos to do. The older ages playground has super tall slides but my 27 month old braved them and had a blast. There is a great smaller kids area in the back as well. This playground has a couple different activities that aren't common at other parks such as the spider web climbing structure and the zip line. Plenty of tables for seating and easy to keep an eye on your kids. It is next to a big open field if you want to play sports or simply run around an open space. Parking lot is not that big but if it was ever full I imagine street parking would not be an issue. read more

I can't believe I didn't know about this park until now. The web structure was a hit for my 7yo, and my 5yo was all over the monkey bars! There's also a track that they can ride their scooter on, and a big field where families were playing soccer and flying a kite! It has everything active kids could want! read more

This was a nice park for our three year olds. Separate area for smaller tots and shaded area was a plus.

The only thing this place doesn't have is a rec center, it is a true community outdoor park, but it's great. The parking lot is not huge so you really can't have too many people there, but there is street parking. read more

I really like this playground and park area however, as a slide connoisseur I must say that the large blue middle slide will hurt your bottom a small bit if you ride on it too fast . The hexagonal thing is quite fun however if you are one of those protective parents then you might think that it is too high up. Also there is a school nearby and they will yell at you if you get too near the fence during school hours . I really like how they have two separate areas ( one for older and one for younger kids ) and the little kids play ground is very fun . The park area has a lot of dogs on somedays and is sometimes used for baseball or softball or soccer or football teams on Saturdays. Other than that , it's a great park :) read more

This is a great playground! We didn't even know it existed until we saw it here on Yelp. There are lots of activities for all ages of kids. Huge jungle gym with multiple big slides, rock walls, spiderweb climbing net, swings, zip line bar, toddler zone, and shady benches and tables for parents. It's also clean, fairly quiet after school hours, not too busy, and sits in a nice family neighborhood of Carmel Mountain. read more
