We drive 30 minutes just for this park& it's that worth it! Always clean, never crowded, and big enough for both my 4 and 2 yr old to play without it feeling packed. I love that the playground is mostly fenced in (peace of mind since my daughter is on the spectrum and prone to eloping). Plenty of room for parents to join in the fun too yes, even I can fit through the slide at 5'2"! A great family park we keep coming back to. read more

Not sure why this place is showing as closed. I've been attending FNL practices here all season. This park has a playground/tot lot area, two softball fields, extra grass that sports teams practice on, and a restroom building. Most importantly though, parking has never been an issue. It's right off of a freeway exit, so that's convenient two. read more

This community park is fairly typical for San Diego with playgrounds, sports fields, and picnic areas,   There's also a Recreation Center here with indoor basketball, function space, and restrooms.  It's rather hidden from off Rancho Carmel Drive but easily accessible. There's plenty of parking. read more

Love this park, rarely crowded, play structure is mostly shaded. Not too many benches to sit on but lots and lots of parking. Watch out for the squirrels here! They're not scared of people and will get into your bag to take out food if left unattended. read more

This park has a lot of variety, which I love. There is plenty for little ones to do (sand area and a play structure for 2-5 year olds with baby swings) and enough for bigger kids (bigger play structure, swings, and monkey bar equipment). The playground is a bit tired and things could generally use a refresh on the property. We felt safe though and there were lots of families around. The parking was a little challenging as it was a Saturday and the fields were in use. read more

Enjoyed this park a lot. It's right off a freeway and just down the road so easy access. It's tucked to the back edge of a parking lot with ample shade and along a small creek. It's an unassuming spot but offers enough variety of play that it holds a child's attention for a good amount of time. My children did not want to leave and we stayed for an hour and a half 2 large structures, a smaller balancing area, and a swing set surrounded by lots of sand for sand play. We made the mistake of not keeping sand toys in the car this time around. The largest structure, meant for bigger kids- has wheelchair access! This also means that smaller kids can easily access the larger slides. There are hidden scavenger hunts on the equipment (think looking for little colored molds of animals and insects) and some musical instruments. Again, the shade available makes this a great park moving into spring and summer There is a bathroom just across the parking lot and ample parking to acces this park. It is also partially fenced and has a bit of hill surrounding it making it easy to keep an eye on kids Recommend this park- but might be best for 6 and under read more

The Good: The play equipment is in good condition and there's a decent mix of stuff for toddlers and Pre Kindergarten kids. The location is also pretty convenient in Carmel Mountain. The Okay: The shade is okay, there's one place under a big tree to sit. The Not Good: The playground is not enclosed, so if you are not paying attention your kid could easily run into a baseball field, or worse, the nearby parking lot within about 6-8 seconds. read more

This is our closest park and we walk there from our house in the neighborhood all the time we started going A LOT when my daughter was about 6 months old and she's grown the past up on the park equipment here over the last three years using her new found motor skills at every stage. Needless to say, it holds a dear place in our hearts! The equipment is in great shape and well maintained. There's a large field for soccer and community events, as well as a community center with basketball courts nearby. Decent parking! My ONLY compliant is that I wish they were more on top of the cleanliness on the weekends. The trash cans fill up quickly and end up overflowing, the sand in the playground can accumulate some paper waste. It's not terrible, but in terms of maintenance cadence: if they stepped it up a level with an extra trash pick up this place would be such a bigger pleasure on a saturday afternoon. read more

Been coming here for decades... As a teenager and as an adult. It's funny how my needs of this park has changed over the years. It's a great place for a picnic or just to let the kids run around at the playground. It's safe and well maintained. What's great is that it's right off the freeway yet you don't hear the traffic. You can play baseball, basketball or soccer. This park has it all. I'll be back for sure as it never seems to get too busy. There's ample parking and gazebos. If you bring a tarp or canopy you'll be in even better shape to lay out and relax. Since summer is coming to a close I probably won't be back again until next year... But sunny San Diego always has great weather to go out and be active. Maybe I'll see you there. read more

I used to love bringing my daughter here. The smaller structure was great even when she was teeny and just learning to climb & slide. Friendly moms, etc. The only real con is how hot the slides and swings get. But the last time I went? HOMELESS DUDE SLEEPING ON THE GROUND RIGHT NEXT TO THE TODDLER STRUCTURE. Gross. And, the "security" guys drove right by and didn't even see it. I had to flag them down and tell them about it. And in general, since the transit station opened up there have been waaaaay more weirdos loitering near the playground. No thanks. read more

Massive playground area for kids ages 2 and up. Ground is a mix of sand and padded flooring. Tons of places to climb and run, but only one baby swing and two kids swings. A large tree provides shade in the late afternoon and there are benches and tables nearby for comfort. It's easy to keep an eye on the kids while sitting down. Great place for Little League! And great park. For being so huge, it is relatively un-crowded on the weekends!

This park is clean, plenty of area to play & safe-has rubber mat around the play area not all sand. There is a place for younger children to play and area for older kids, 4+. Plenty of trees that gives shade when sunny; Nice breeze comes in the park. Plenty of parking but it can be full when there is a special occasion but there is an additional parking accross the street. read more

Stopped here for lunch on a busy Saturday, there was a baseball game going on but the playground was fairly empty. They have 2 play areas, one for bigger kids (5-12) but still ok. For the littler ones with supervision that want to walk. Hang on the big slides are fast, and bumpy enough joy for even the biggest of kids. read more

Across the street from Oggi's Pizza. I'm rating this place just based on the softball/baseball fields. They are not in the best condition with the batters box a total crater. The outfield grass is too patchy and you will get bad hops on almost every occasion. There is plenty of parking. I believe they also have a few kids playgrounds, indoor gym, and public bathrooms. read more

First time here with my twin 5 year olds. Very cute park. Very safe. Lots of kid friendly things to climb on. There is a section for younger kids too with not so tall slides. I like that there is sand. Don't find many parks with soft sand in them anymore. There is a chain-link fence going around the park to help keep kids away from the parking lot that's really nice. Plenty of parking. Very convenient location. I commute from work in San Diego to home in Escondido. With kids in car I can take HOV on the 15. This park has easy access on and off the HOV directly by using Sabre Springs Transit Center off ramp. read more

This is a large residential park with lots of stuff - large community center, large all purpose field, a regular size baseball field, a small baseball field, small basketball court, and a good size playground. They host community events here all the time, great for kids. There is also a recycling drop off area for clothes here as well! The only negative is there are not as many gazebos as some parks to host multiple outdoor parties. read more

Just found this park and it's a gem. It has a lot of trees, so there is some shade, sand, and separate play structures for young children and older children. The older children play structure is quite large with a lot of slides and climbing structures. I really like the trees around as it provides more shade than what you normally find in other parks. Surprisingly, not too crowded either. There's plenty of parking. read more

This park is nice. If you miss the entrance you'll have to do a few u turns to get back to the entrance. It's by a church so don't get confused like I did about where the park was. Sort of small but I liked that the structures were shaded. read more
